Batik is a work of art that has unique cultural values. The existence of batik can be found at any time in all corners of the city of Pekalongan. Meanwhile, batik production and trading activities are active throughout the day, even late at night. The pulse of people's lives, which is never separated from batik, has given Pekalongan the image of a "batik city". This is quite relevant considering that the people of Pekalongan city cannot be separated from batik, batik has become the economic lifeblood of the people of Pekalongan. Pekalongan batik production is not only sold in the local market but has reached and penetrated the international market. As competition in the international batik industry has arrived, it is fitting for Pekalongan batik to receive legal protection. The legal protection in question is about intellectual property rights, one of which is related to the use of trademark rights. There are two problems in this research, namely how to obtain legal protection for brand rights, logos, batik motifs and models in Pekalongan and how to report criminal acts of misuse or counterfeiting batik logos/brands that have been registered with Intellectual Property Rights. This research was conducted using a normative juridical research model or a normative legal research method. The normative juridical research method is a library-based legal research method. In this research, research will be carried out by analyzing the problems being discussed relating to the regulations on Intellectual Property Rights, specifically Brand Rights. Then the author connects it with legal protection of brand rights for the Batik industry in Pekalongan. Research results Legal protection for copyright of batik motifs generally exists in the 2002 UUHC, as regulated in Article 12 letter i. Based on developments in the 1987 UUHC and 1997 UUHC, batik art that receives copyright protection is non-traditional batik art with the consideration that traditional batik art has become common property (public domain). In the 2002 Copyright Law, both traditional and contemporary batik receive protection. Legal protection for batik motif copyright is obtained automatically without registration. Copyright registration for Pekalongan batik motifs is still rarely done. UUHC 2002 basically protects the artistic work of batik craftsmen without having to register. This creates several problems, namely, new motifs created by batik craftsmen in Pekalongan are marketed, and within three months the printed batik will come out. Regarding this problem, the Pekalongan City and Regency Department of Industry and Trade has not yet taken action because basically most batik motifs in Pekalongan have not been copyrighted. If people want to protest and demand it, it will also cost a lot of money, even though most craftsmen in Pekalongan have little capital. The level of awareness and understanding of the public, especially small and medium industrial entrepreneurs, regarding copyright is still low, so this condition becomes even worse due to the lack of ability to access information, as well as understanding of relevant agency officials regarding the importance of copyright. Keywords: Brand Rights, Legal Protection, Pekalongan Batik

At the junior high school level (SMP), students begin to recognize the importance of values of togetherness in diversity. However, this understanding does not always run smoothly because of cultural and background differences that can affect the way students interact with each other. This study uses a descriptive approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' attitudes towards ethnic diversity in class VIII of a private junior high school. Data collected through questionnaires will be analyzed to obtain an overview of students' attitudes towards diversity related to the topic and objectives of the research applied. The results of the study showed that there were no significant differences in attitudes between students with different ethnic backgrounds. This means that positive attitudes towards ethnic diversity are evenly distributed among various ethnic backgrounds, indicating that ethnic factors are not a barrier to social interaction in the classroom, where most students have similar views on the importance of respecting differences and working together with friends from different ethnic groups.

This study examines women's political communication in Maluku, focusing on the opportunities, challenges, and socio-cultural dynamics they face. In a region strongly influenced by patriarchal culture, women's roles in politics are often constrained by traditional social views and resistance to their involvement in a male-dominated political arena. The complexity of this issue is heightened by the perception that politics is a harsh and competitive domain. The aim of this research is to understand the communication strategies used by female politicians in Maluku and to identify the factors that influence their success or failure in the political field. The findings reveal that despite significant challenges, female politicians are able to leverage local values such as community solidarity and the adat-based social system to strengthen their political positions. Additionally, social networks and support from women's groups and political organizations play crucial roles in their political communication strategies. Women's roles in Maluku politics are not limited to verbal and non-verbal communication but also include their ability to integrate local values and utilize their central societal roles to promote political agendas. These findings provide a significant contribution to the study of women's political communication, particularly in contexts that have been underexplored in both national and international literature. In contemporary Indonesia, Neo-Sufism has emerged as a significant paradigm for Islamic social da'wah, particularly in response to growing spiritual disorientation, religious radicalism, and socio-cultural fragmentation in urban contexts. This research explores how institutionalized Sufi orders, especially those rooted in traditional tarekat such as TQN is redefining their spiritual missions through transformative, socially-engaged practices. Using a qualitative library-based methodology, the study analyzes primary and secondary texts to trace how core Sufi values—such as ikhlas (sincerity), sabr (patience), and zuhd (asceticism)—are applied within modern da'wah strategies. Rather than functioning as apolitical or inward-facing traditions, these Sufi orders have implemented socially responsive initiatives including pesantren-based empowerment, Sufi clinics, and ethical microeconomics. The findings challenge stereotypes of Sufism as detached from social realities and instead position Neo-Sufism as a framework for moral reform and community development. This rearticulation of Sufism not only addresses urban spiritual crises but also contributes a sustainable and values-based model of religious engagement. To ensure continued relevance, the study recommends strengthening urban Sufi literacy and institutional collaboration among tarekat networks.

This study examines the shift in social values in the inheritance rights of Karo Muslim women in Lingga Culture Village, Karo Regency. This research uses qualitative research and descriptive method. Information was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, religious leaders, and Karo Muslim family members and documentation. The findings of the study reveal that there is a significant change in the distribution of inheritance rights of Karo Muslim women, from previously not getting their share to now being more fair and equal. The patriarchal culture in Karo society places men at a higher level than women. The Lingga Cultural Village community initially applied customary law, namely "Ajar dibata reh tua-tua sinuria" which means the teachings of ancestors in the distribution of inheritance rights, the inheritance of parents is only given to sons as heirs while daughters are not recognized as heirs and will only get "pemberen" which means gifts from parents. According to Max Waber's theory of social action, the division of inheritance rights is carried out using customary laws that have become social customs because these actions have meanings and values that are now showing a shift in Karo society. However, along with the times and increasing public awareness of the importance of gender equality, the rules for the distribution of inheritance in Lingga Cultural Village began to change. The occurrence of this social value shift is influenced by religious factors, education, jurisprudence, and globalization.
