This study aims to examine the ethical and moral considerations of judges in imposing verdicts against perpetrators of the crime of child intercourse, as reflected in Decision Number 147/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Kpg. This case is complex because the perpetrator and the victim are both still classified as minors and sexual relations occurred on the basis of consensual, but are still qualified as criminal acts based on positive Indonesian law. The main focus of this study is how judges balance protection for victims with justice for perpetrators who are also still in their childhood, as well as the extent to which the principle of restorative justice is applied in the verdict. This study uses an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach, which relies on document studies, interviews, and analysis of court decisions. The theories used in the analysis are the theories of restorative justice, substantive justice, and child protection in the criminal justice system. The results of the study showed that the judge imposed criminal punishment on the perpetrator even though there were elements of agreement and the status of the perpetrator who was still a child. The judge's main consideration is the legal protection of children as absolute victims. However, judges do not optimally consider the approach to coaching and restorative justice as regulated in the juvenile justice system. The victim's family's refusal to mediate was also a factor that strengthened the criminal verdict. On the other hand, there is an inequality in the application of the principle of fairness, because the perpetrator is not fully positioned as a child who also needs protection and coaching.

Discipline in education is necessary for students to understand moral and social boundaries. The practice of disciplining (corporal punishment) against students is still debatable. Some people consider it a form of violence against children that contradicts the principles of child protection in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. A dilemma arises regarding the limits of the teacher's authority in disciplining students and whether these actions can be categorized as criminal acts or are still included in the realm of education. Article 14 of Law No. 14/2005 on Teachers and Lecturers states that teachers have the right to impose sanctions on students who violate norms, rules, and academic ethics. This research is normative research. The results of this research are: (1) The provision of corporal punishment by teachers against students who violate religious norms, norms of decency, norms of politeness, written and unwritten rules set by teachers in the learning process cannot be categorized as acts against criminal law if the corporal punishment carried out by the teacher does not exceed the limits of reasonableness or punishment that is educational in nature in accordance with the teacher's code of ethics. (2) The application of mediation as a form of protection for teachers regulated in Article 4 paragraph 2 of Permendikbud Number 10 of 2017, where mediation is a form of implementation of restorative justice values creating a space for peaceful problem solving that considers the interests of students, teachers and students. The application of mediation as a form of protection for teachers regulated in Article 4 paragraph 2 of Permendikbud Number 10 of 2017, where mediation is a form of implementation of restorative justice values creating a space for peaceful problem solving that considers the interests of students, teachers, and the school community.

Dance is an effective medium for children, providing an alternative channel for expressing complex emotions and feelings. The body movements, rhythms and music of dance allow children to convey their experiences in a creative and non-verbal way. There is a positive correlation between participation in dance activities and participation in dance activities with increased social emotional development of children. By learning movement and improvisation, children can express a range of calming emotions from joy to sadness and from anger. Dance also helps children develop motor skills, coordination and creativity. Therefore, the integration of early childhood education and dance into elementary schools is highly recommended as a holistic approach to the development of children's potential and as a way to support child emotional well-being.

In the perspective of victimology, children who are victims of domestic violence are viewed as a vulnerable group that needs protection and justice. This study aims to analyze the patterns of victimization, factors, and legal protection for child victims of Domestic Violence in Ciruas Pasar Village. The research method used in this study is empirical juridical. The data sources consist of primary and secondary data collected using interview techniques and field studies, and analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that children as victims of Domestic Violence experience complex victimization, including physical and verbal violence perpetrated by the father figure with a background of economic problems and emotional instability. The lack of public awareness, the victims' courage to report, and limited access to rehabilitation services are factors contributing to the inadequate implementation of legal protection for child victims of Domestic Violence in Ciruas Pasar Village. Therefore, synergy between the government, law enforcement agencies, social institutions, and the community is needed to create a more effective, inclusive, and sustainable child protection system.

The juvenile criminal justice system in Indonesia has been reformed through the enactment of Law No. 11/2012 on Juvenile Criminal Justice Sistem (UU SPPA), but its implementation is still ineffective. This study aims to examine the ineffectiveness of the implementation of diversion and the imbalance between restorative aspects and the protection of children's rights in a repressive justice system. This type of research is normative, with statutory, conceptual and comparative approaches. The results of the study showed that limited understanding of the apparatus, lack of institutional support, and the still strong paradigm of punishment were the main obstacles. In conclusion, the reform has not fully reflected the principles of restorative justice and child protection. The author recommends strengthening the capacity of officials, cross-sector collaboration, and revitalizing the role of the community in supporting the implementation of diversion and the protection of children's rights as a whole.

Sexual harassment against children in Islamic boarding schools is a serious issue that demands special attention, particularly in the context of legal protection for victims. This study aims to analyze the position and role of child victims in the dynamics of sexual harassment crimes within pesantren, as well as to identify forms of legal protection that can be provided through a victimological approach. One of the cases highlighted in this research occurred at Bani Ma’mun Islamic Boarding School, located in Gembor Udik Village, Cikande Sub-district, Serang Regency, which illustrates the weak protection afforded to children in religious educational environments. By employing an empirical juridical method and referring to secondary data such as legislation, legal documents, and academic literature, this study finds that child victims often do not receive optimal protection, either in the criminal justice process or in terms of psychosocial support. The victimological perspective emphasizes the importance of fulfilling victims' rights, including the right to security, physical and mental rehabilitation, and social reintegration. In this context, protection efforts should not only focus on imposing sanctions on perpetrators but also include the formulation of policies oriented toward the recovery of victims. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening institutional capacity within pesantren to develop and implement comprehensive child protection mechanisms, including regulatory reform and more responsive law enforcement toward victims of sexual crimes. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a legal framework that is more victim-oriented within Indonesia’s criminal justice system.

Gender-based violence against women and children is a serious problem in Indonesia that reflects the inequality of social structures and the weakness of legal implementation. This study aims to examine the extent to which the Indonesian legal system is able to provide fair, equal, and gender-responsive protection to victims of violence, as well as assess the challenges in its application. The type of research used is a normative-critical study with a Feminist Legal Theory approach. The results of the analysis show that although there are regulatory advances such as the TPKS Law and the Presidential Instruction on Gender Mainstreaming, their application is still biased, not victim-friendly, and lacks a gender perspective. In conclusion, the law in Indonesia has not fully guaranteed substantive justice for victims. Therefore, it is recommended that legal reforms based on victims' experiences, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officials, and strengthening victim service institutions to encourage inclusive and transformative justice.

Childhood represents a pivotal stage in every individual's development, particularly in the social and emotional domains. Young children are highly reliant on the support of their surrounding environment to recognize and manage their emotions. Indeed, emotional awareness develops progressively, commencing from physical. sensations to the capacity to comprehend complex emotions. However, children with intricate life backgrounds and a lack of parental figures tend to encounter obstacles in understanding the emotions they experience. Based on observations conducted on early childhood children at the GA Orphanage, it was found that their level of emotional awareness is still relatively low. Consequently, a structured activity-based approach was implemented to assist these children in understanding and managing their emotions.

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a crucial stage in shaping children's character and personality. This study aims to identify the characteristics of early childhood and analyze the role of teachers in supporting children's character development through an observational approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with direct observation techniques in one of the Kindergartens in Gorontalo City. The results of the observation show that early childhood has unique characteristics, such as spontaneity, high curiosity, and egocentric tendencies. However, challenges were also found in character development, such as lack of independence and unstable emotions. Teachers have a strategic role in overcoming these challenges through an individual approach, effective communication, and the creation of a conducive learning environment. The strategies implemented include providing examples of positive behavior, routine habits, and play activities that support children's character development. This study emphasizes the importance of a deep understanding of the characteristics of early childhood by educators to create an effective and enjoyable learning process, as well as to shape children's characters who are independent and emotionally stable.
