The development of information technology has brought about significant changes in civil case evidence practices in Indonesia, especially after the enactment of Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law) and the implementation of the e-Court system. This paper aims to analyze the status of electronic evidence in civil litigation following the enactment of the ITE Law and the development of electronic case administration. The research method employed is a normative legal approach, involving an analysis of legal regulations as well as primary and secondary legal literature. The analysis reveals that the ITE Law recognizes electronic information as valid evidence, but its integration into civil procedure law still faces procedural challenges due to the lack of detailed regulatory frameworks outlining the mechanisms for submitting and verifying digital evidence. Meanwhile, the e-Court system accelerates administrative processes and supports the use of electronic evidence, but limitations in infrastructure and technical literacy among judicial officials hinder optimal implementation. These findings underscore the urgency of harmonizing civil procedure law with the provisions of the ITE Law, as well as strengthening authentication standards and digital forensic capabilities for law enforcement officials.

The development of information technology has driven significant changes in the practice of contract making, from manual-based to increasingly using electronic systems. This research discusses the validity of the legal certainty of electronic contracts compared to manual contracts. Electronic contracts offer efficiency and flexibility, but raise concerns regarding the validity of electronic signatures, data security, and legal proof in the event of a dispute. Meanwhile, manual contracts are considered more concrete and easily accepted as evidence due to their physical form. Through a normative approach with the analysis of laws and regulations and legal literature, this study found that both types of contracts have equal legal standing as long as they fulfill the legal requirements of an agreement according to the Civil Code. However, electronic contracts face challenges in legal protection, identity authentication, and document integrity. It is necessary to strengthen technical regulations, digital legal education, and technological infrastructure to ensure the validity and legal certainty of electronic contracts to be equivalent to manual contracts, so that the rights and obligations of the parties can be fairly protected in today's digital era.

Direct (offline) purchase transactions are still the choice of the public, especially to ensure the physical condition of the goods. However, in direct purchases of electronic goods (offline) in physical stores, disputes often arise when the purchased goods are defective or damaged after several days of use. Cases like this are a form of default by the seller. One alternative dispute resolution that can be used is mediation, which is a settlement process with the help of a neutral third party to reach a mutual agreement. In this case, an analysis of the effectiveness of mediation was carried out in resolving default disputes related to defective goods in electronic purchases in physical stores. Using case studies and qualitative approaches, it was found that mediation is effective if both parties have good intentions and are willing to communicate openly. Mediation can accelerate dispute resolution without having to go through a long and expensive legal process.
