The low learning outcomes of students in Economics subjects are often influenced by the use of traditional teaching methods that are less engaging and lack interaction. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of utilizing game-based learning media in improving students' academic performance. The game used in this study is the Wordwall game with the Airplane type. A quantitative approach was employed, using a quasi-experimental design with the nonequivalent control group model. The research subjects consisted of two tenth-grade classes at SMA Labschool Unesa 1, with the experimental class receiving treatment using the Airplane game media, while the control class was taught using conventional teaching methods. Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent t-tests, and N-Gain calculations. The results showed that the implementation of the Airplane game-based learning media significantly improved students' learning outcomes, as indicated by higher average post-test scores and N-Gain values in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that game-based media can serve as an innovative alternative in the learning process, as it is capable of enhancing student motivation, active participation, and understanding of economic concepts.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching science material on plants as a source of life on earth through the joyful learning strategy in grade IV at SDN Poris Pelawad 5. Education plays an important role in shaping the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective abilities of students. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teaching science about plants as a source of life using the joyful learning strategy can have a positive impact on students. The joyful learning strategy can be implemented as an effort to create an enjoyable and meaningful learning process in elementary schools.

The use of computers in the teaching and learning process aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning. One of the competencies of teachers is applying information and communication technology in learning. Some problems that exist in society, especially in some schools, are the lack of multimedia-based learning materials in the classroom; learning using conventional methods; and the lack of use of information technology among teachers. Therefore, a workshop on how to create multimedia-based materials was proposed. The purpose of this workshop is to train teachers to build from scratch to multimedia-based teaching materials and train them to use information technology tools optimally. Some of the benefits requested are that teachers can learn new knowledge especially about multimedia; applications made by teachers can be used as initial applications to be used as one of the tools to transfer topics or subjects to their students. This workshop was held for one day from May 15, 2025 joining 20 educators from SMP Advent Kabanjahe. The result of this Socialization is the application of learning media teaching materials based on macromedia flash and can be used as one of the tools in the classroom to transfer knowledge to the class.

This study examines the implementation of the Duolingo application in teaching English skills to eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tasifeto Timur. With the increasing integration of technology in education, this research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Duolingo as a tool for enhancing language acquisition and engagementt among learners. Through a mixed-methods approach, the study analyzes student performance, engagement levels, and overall satisfaction with the application compared to traditional teaching methods. The results indicate a significant improvement in vocabulary retention, grammatical proficiency, and conversational skills among students utilizing Duolingo. Additionally, qualitative feedback highlights the app's user-friendly interface and gamified learning experience as motivating factors.

This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) aimed at producing an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on Liveworksheets on the topic of the human digestive system for fifth-grade students at SDN 114/X Pandan Jaya, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This product was developed to address the lack of interactive teaching materials in IPAS (Science) learning and to align learning with the characteristics of 21st-century learners who are familiar with digital technology. The development model used is ADDIE, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In the analysis stage, it was found that teachers had not yet used student worksheets in the learning process, while students showed high interest in digital learning media. The product was developed in accordance with the curriculum and student characteristics, and then validated by content experts (98.26%), language experts (93.33%), and media experts (84%), all of which fall into the very valid category. The product was then tested on teachers and students. The questionnaire results indicated that the E-LKPD is practical to use, with a practicality score of 98.18% from the teacher and 86% from students. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Liveworksheets-based E-LKPD is valid, practical, and suitable to be used as an interactive teaching material in IPAS learning for fifth-grade elementary school students.

The rapid development of information and communication technology demands the education sector to strengthen digital literacy, particularly in mastering computer networks. Observations at SMK Taruna Bakti Baturraden revealed that 10th-grade students face difficulties in understanding basic network concepts such as topology, hardware, IP addresses, and the use of Cisco Packet Tracer. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of interactive teaching methods in improving students' understanding. The activities were carried out through stages including observation, module preparation, delivery of interactive materials, and evaluation. The learning process involved participatory presentations, discussions, and hands-on simulations. Evaluation was conducted using quizzes and student reflections. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of networking concepts and enthusiasm in learning network technologies. Furthermore, the activity enhanced students' digital literacy through a practical approach and the use of simulation applications. These findings indicate that interactive teaching methods are effective in improving computer network comprehension and can serve as a replicable digital literacy-based learning model in other vocational schools.

The results of this study show that: 1) The steps of implementing the make a match type cooperative learning model have several stages that must be prepared by teachers so that the learning process is taught in a structured manner, namely designing teaching modules and learning themes, preparing cards containing questions and answers, making learning assignment planning strategies, carrying out preparation and implementation of activities, couple verification, evaluation,  awarding/appreciation. 2) The results in the implementation of the make a match type cooperative learning model explain that there is an increase in student learning activity and learning outcomes before and after learning. 3) Factors that affect the learning process There are supporting factors, namely student motivation and enthusiasm that encourage active involvement in the learning process, while inhibiting factors, namely the classroom atmosphere becomes unconducive during learning.

Analysis of the Role of Teachers in Increasing the Learning Interest of Class IV Students of SDI Betun Kota. Guided by Marsela Luruk Bere and Damian Puling, the formulation of the problem in this study is the Analysis of the Role of Teachers in Increasing the Learning Interest of Class IV Students. Teachers have an important role in conveying knowledge to existing students. Not only playing a role in teaching knowledge, there are many roles of teachers in the learning process. The role of teachers in the learning process is: teachers as educators, teachers as instructors, teachers as guides, teachers as influences, teachers as trainers, teachers as assessors. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers in increasing the learning interest of students at SDI Betun Kota. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The subjects of this study were the Principal, homeroom teacher IV and Class IV Students of SDI Betun Kota. A person's interest is developed to achieve educational goals, this is because interest is a potential that still requires serious and systematic development and training in order to be realized. However, in reality, many students are less interested in a particular subject because of the minimal role of teachers in developing students' talents and interests. How great is the service of a teacher in developing students' talents and interests, the results of this study show that teachers who are effective in increasing students' interest in learning use innovative learning methods, provide motivation, create a conducive learning environment, and have good relationships with students. This study also found that the use of technology in learning can increase students' interest in learning, thus this study contributes to the understanding of the role of teachers in increasing students' interest in learning and can be a reference for teachers and schools in improving the quality of learning.

Mastery of pronunciation skills is a crucial aspect in English oral communication. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of film and song-based audio-visual media in improving the pronunciation skills of English study program students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of pronunciation tests. The results showed that the integration of film and song media was able to significantly improve students' intelligibility, accuracy, and fluency. Films provide exposure to native speaker pronunciation in real contexts, while songs play a role in reducing anxiety and increasing self-confidence through sound repetition in a relaxed learning atmosphere. These findings are in line with recent studies that emphasize the importance of contextual and authentic media in teaching pronunciation. It is recommended that teachers utilize audio-visual media optimally in learning to create a more interesting and meaningful learning experience.

Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level requires students not only to comprehend texts but also to apply them in real-life contexts. One of the essential text types to be taught is the procedural text, which aims to develop students’ instructional abilities as well as their sequential and systematic thinking skills. This study aims to describe the implementation of an ecology-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in teaching procedural texts in junior high school. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and interviews. The researcher and the teacher collaborated to discuss the application of the ecology-based PjBL model in teaching procedural texts to seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta. The researcher then observed the procedural text learning activities carried out by the teacher using the PjBL model and conducted an evaluation of the model's implementation, student engagement, and the effectiveness of the activities in achieving learning objectives. The results indicated that the implementation of the ecology-based PjBL model effectively increased students’ active participation, enhanced their understanding of procedural text concepts, and fostered early awareness of waste management and environmental conservation.

This study aims to systematically examine the effectiveness of the implementation of Physics e-modules based on local wisdom on students’ critical thinking skills. The focus of The study is directed at the integration of local cultural values, especially through the context of making lapek sarikayo, as part of contextual and meaningful physics learning. The method used is Sstematic Literature Review (SLR), which is carried out through the Identification, selection, and analysis of 20 national scientific articles published in the last Five years. The analyzed articles were selected based on relevance to the topic of physics e-Modules, ethnoscience approaches or local wisdom, and measurement of critical thinking Skills. The results of the study show that e-modules that contain elements of local culture are able to increase student involvement,strengthen understanding of physics concepts, and significantly encourage critical thinking skills. A contextual approach through local culture is proven to provide a learning experience that is closer to the reality of learners. These findings have an important impact on the development of innovative teaching. Materials that are relevant to local cultural characteristics, as well as being a strategic reference in designing holistic and transformative 21st-century physics learning.

This study aims to describe and explain the challenges and obstacles in implementing differentiated learning in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for fourth-grade students at Galeh 1 Public Elementary School, Tangen District, Sragen Regency, in the  2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with the study conducted at Galeh 01 Elementary School in April 2025. The research subjects included the fourth-grade teacher and students, consisting of 8 male and 11 female students. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using the interactive data analysis model by Miles & Huberman. The results of the study show that: a) content differentiation was evident through the teacher's systematic preparation of IPAS teaching modules, provision of learning materials, and the use of PowerPoint and concrete images as media; b) process differentiation was demonstrated through varied assignments in group and individual formats, tailored approaches according to academic levels, and the use of an LCD projector to support learning; c) product differentiation was observed through students being given opportunities to present and the teacher providing summative assessments as a measure of understanding; d) the learning environment element was reflected in the teacher creating a fun and conducive classroom atmosphere. 2) The challenges and obstacles in implementing differentiated learning included: a) the presence of passive students, b) limited facilities and infrastructure, c) the time-consuming process of preparing learning components, and d) student dependency on peers.

Vocabulary is an important element in language acquisition. However, currently many students lack vocabulary knowledge and many teachers still have not implemented technology in learning. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Memrise application in teaching English vocabulary and the differences in students’ vocabulary mastery before and after treatment. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test on 35 students of class X-TSM 2 SMK Sore Tulungagung in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that the average score increased from 66.14 to 86.71 after using the application. The paired t-test showed a t value of -11.031 with a significance of <0.001, which means there is a significant difference. Cohen's d effect size value of -1.865 and Hedges -1.844 showed a large effect. These results prove that the Memrise application is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. The implication is that application-based learning such as Memrise can be an interesting and useful alternative in the English learning process at the vocational school level

The present study aims to identify and analyze idiomatic expressions in the lyrics of “Do I Wanna Know?” by Arctic Monkeys. Idioms are non-literal expressions that often cause difficulty for English learners due to their figurative nature. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on semantic and contextual analysis based on the theories of Palmer (2007), Larson (2010), and Halliday (2014). The results indicate that the song contains several idiomatic expressions that reflect emotional states such as longing, regret, and insecurity. These findings suggest that song lyrics can serve as effective, authentic, and engaging media for learning idioms in EFL contexts. The study also highlights the pedagogical and cultural implications of using popular songs as teaching materials.

The use of various instructional media plays a significant role in the teaching process, as it can stimulate students' interest and encourage active participation in learning activities. By utilizing a variety of educational tools, children can enhance the efficiency of their learning in relation to the material delivered by the teacher. Teachers are expected to select the most effective teaching models, instructional media, and strategies to improve students' understanding. The use of instructional aids such as fraction clocks can serve as an innovative resource for teachers in presenting learning materials. Through the implementation of such media, teachers can expand the scope of media utilization in the educational process. The use of fraction clocks aims to inspire and improve students’ learning outcomes in the field of mathematics. The study employs a quantitative approach. This quasi-experimental study applies a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. 50 students participated in the study. The collected data are analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to describe the students’ pretest and posttest results. Furthermore, inferential statistics, including normality tests and hypothesis testing, are used to support further interpretation. The findings revealed that for the pretest, students had an average score of 51.92, indicating a moderate level of achievement, with a percentage of 62%. And the students’ postest scores increased to 66.92, indicating a higher level of achievement, with a percentage of 69% based on a sample of 26 students. The Paired Sample T-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is lower than the predetermined significance level of 5% or 0.05. This indicates the rejection of null hypothesis and acceptance of alternative hypothesis. It can be concluded that the use of fraction clock as an instructional medium has positive effect on students’ learning outcomes and enhances their understanding of fraction concepts.

This research focuses on improving English vocabulary and speaking confidence among students in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms through the implementation of Alphabet Box Learning. Many EFL students struggle with limited vocabulary and a lack of confidence when speaking, which hinders their communicative competence. The objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Alphabet Box Learning in addressing these problems by providing an engaging and student-centered learning experience. The study employed a quasi-experimental method involving 65 students of SMP Kristen 1 Soe. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, classroom observations, and student questionnaires to assess improvements in vocabulary mastery and speaking confidence. The findings revealed that students who participated in Alphabet Box Learning activities showed significant gains in vocabulary acquisition and their willingness to speak in class were increased. The interactive nature of the method, which combines visual, tactile, and verbal elements, created a supportive environment that encouraged active participation and reduced speaking anxiety. In conclusion, Alphabet Box Learning is an effective instructional strategy for enhancing both vocabulary and speaking confidence among EFL learners. Its implementation provides meaningful, engaging, and low-anxiety language learning experiences, making it a valuable addition to communicative language teaching practices.

This study is motivated by the low learning interest of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Manbail Futuh Jenu due to conventional teaching methods that are less engaging. The purpose of this research is to develop and implement hands-on activity-based learning media and to evaluate its effectiveness in increasing students’ learning interest. The method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that hands-on activity-based media significantly improve students’ learning interest, conceptual understanding, and critical thinking skills. Students become more enthusiastic, active, and independent in the learning process. Despite challenges such as limited tools and time, this media positively impacts the teaching and learning process. The implications emphasize the importance of developing interactive and practical learning media, along with the need for facility support and teacher training to optimally implement hands-on activities at MI. Thus, hands-on activity-based media can be an effective strategy to enhance the quality of education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.

Learning media are physical tools that deliver information or learning materials to students. Educational videos have become one of the aids used in teaching and learning activities. These videos can support the learning process by conveying materials through the use of technology. Therefore, the researcher was interested in developing a medium that can be both heard and seen by students to help them better understand the subject matter. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Borg & Gall development model, which consists of ten development steps. The development process included initial information gathering, planning, initial product development, expert validation tests, initial product revisions, small-scale testing, second product revisions, large-scale field testing, final product refinement, and product dissemination. The results showed that the validity test of the learning media yielded a percentage of 94% from media experts, 96% from subject matter experts, 94% from language experts, and 94% from teachers. Meanwhile, the product effectiveness test using a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000, which is lower than the threshold of 0.05. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted, proving a significant difference in student learning outcomes before and after using the educational video. Therefore, it can be concluded that the educational video on "Human Needs and Resource Scarcity" for Grade VII Social Studies is valid according to experts and effective in improving student learning outcomes.

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the learning process at MAN 1 Kota Padang, specifically focusing on the preliminary, core, and closing stages. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through classroom observations, interviews with mathematics teachers in grades X and XI, and document analysis of teaching modules. Observation results show high effectiveness levels across all learning stages: preliminary activities reached 100% (grade X) and 80% (grade XI), core activities reached 85.71% (grade X) and 93.33% (grade XI), and closing activities reached 81.81% in both classes. The findings indicate that teachers have implemented learning stages in accordance with the characteristics of the Merdeka Curriculum through context-based learning and differentiated approaches. Learning takes place actively and is relevant to students' lives, although there are obstacles such as limited technology resources and difficulties faced by teachers in independently developing modules. Overall, the implementation of learning is considered effective in increasing student participation and strengthening character values. This study shows that the Merdeka Curriculum has great potential in improving the quality of education in madrasah with continuous support through training and adequate facility provision.

Buddhist education in the millennial era faces various internal and external challenges, especially in adapting to the character of the younger generation who are highly dependent on information technology but weak in filtering moral values. Buddhist educational institutions also still face structural problems such as limited human resources, lack of contextual strengthening of Dhamma values, and an institutional image that is not yet strong in society. This study uses a library research method with content analysis and hermeneutics techniques to explore the relevance of Buddhist teachings to the dynamics of modern education. In the context of the Merdeka Belajar policy, Buddhist education has a great opportunity to transform through a flexible learning approach, strengthening student character, integrating spiritual values, and improving education management. In addition, the implementation of Buddhist leadership principles such as the Dasa Raja Dhamma and meditation practices can be a distinctive force that distinguishes Buddhist schools from other institutions. This transformation requires the active role of teachers, principals, foundations, and Buddhist organizations to synergize in building meaningful and competitive education in the digital era.
