The development of information technology and digitalization has transformed almost all aspects of human life, including the world of education. The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 to Society 5.0 has given rise to new demands on the education system, including in the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). In PAI learning can no longer be maintained with a traditional approach that only focuses on lectures and memorization. Along with technological developments and changing demands of the times, especially the era of Society 5.0, PAI learning faces new challenges that require innovation and adaptation in learning approaches. Within this framework, the deep learning approach or in-depth learning is one strategy that can improve the quality of learning (Suwandi et al., 2024) including in the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to describe the basic concepts and principles of deep learning in PAI learning, describe the transformation of PAI learning based on deep learning, describe the benefits, opportunities, and challenges faced in implementing deep learning in PAI learning and describe a PAI learning model based on deep learning that can improve students' 21st-century competencies without eliminating Islamic spiritual values. This study employed a library research method to analyze and understand the transformation of deep learning-based Islamic education in the digital era, based on relevant literature sources. The study results indicate that the Deep Learning Approach to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) offers significant potential as a learning innovation relevant to the digital age. With a model that incorporates mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) can be a lesson that is not boring but transformative, developing students' intellectual and spiritual well-being. Successful implementation depends heavily on teacher preparedness, a flexible and relevant curriculum, technological support, and a school culture that encourages active participation and reflection.

This study investigates the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with animated video media to enhance student motivation, creativity, and learning outcomes in economics at MA Salafiyah. Employing a classroom action research approach with a pretest-posttest design, the research involved 35 grade XI students. Data were collected through observation sheets, motivation and creativity questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used to assess data normality, while the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test evaluated the significance of differences between pretest and posttest scores. The findings reveal that the application of PBL with animated video media significantly improves student motivation, creativity, and learning outcomes. Students demonstrated increased engagement, generated more creative ideas, and showed deeper understanding of economic concepts. Motivation was reflected in higher posttest scores and active participation, while creativity was evident in the ability to propose innovative solutions and think critically. Learning outcomes improved substantially, with average scores rising from 46.142 (pretest) to 83.571 (posttest). The integration of animated video media in PBL created a dynamic and interactive learning environment that facilitated comprehension, stimulated interest, and encouraged practical application of knowledge. This study concludes that PBL supported by animated video media is an effective pedagogical strategy for improving educational quality in economics learning.

This study aims to analyze the application of deep learning in the transformation of religious moderation education in the digital era and its implications for the development of modern Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research, reviewing literature on Islamic education, religious moderation, and artificial intelligence in learning contexts. Data were collected from academic books, scientific journals, articles, and other credible sources, then analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns, concepts, and relationships between technology and the strengthening of moderation values. The results indicate that the implementation of deep learning can transform Islamic education from a traditional rote-based model to a reflective, contextual, and interactive learning process. This technology enables the analysis of students’ thinking patterns and behaviors, the reinforcement of moderation values, character formation, and the development of moderate digital literacy in a personalized and adaptive manner. The integration of technology and spirituality in digital Islamic education creates transformative learning experiences that strengthen empathy, ethical awareness, and students’ reflective capacities. The study implies the importance of developing curricula, learning strategies, and teacher competencies based on artificial intelligence to produce a generation of students who are moderate, tolerant, and competent in facing the challenges of the digital era.

This study explores the development and implementation of an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium to enhance students’ understanding of tajwid at Madrasah Aliyah. The background of this research stems from the limited effectiveness of conventional teaching methods and the relatively low interest of students in learning tajwid. AR-based learning was chosen because it provides a more interactive and contextualized learning experience that actively engages learners. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were Madrasah Aliyah students selected as the experimental group. The findings reveal that the AR learning medium significantly improves students’ comprehension of tajwid rules compared to traditional learning approaches. Moreover, students reported high levels of satisfaction, noting that the media was engaging, user-friendly, and capable of visualizing abstract tajwid rules in a clear and accessible manner. In conclusion, integrating AR technology into Islamic education, particularly tajwid learning, holds great potential to improve learning quality while fostering students’ motivation to explore the subject more deeply.

This study examines the challenges and solutions faced by teachers in implementing Catholic Religious Education (CRE) learning through a deep learning approach in the classroom. The era of educational digitalization demands a transformation from traditional learning methods to more innovative and profound approaches. Deep learning in the educational context refers to learning strategies that encourage students to understand concepts deeply, analyze, evaluate, and integrate knowledge with spiritual experiences. This research methodology uses a literature review by analyzing various literature sources related to the implementation of deep learning in CRE learning. The research results show that teachers face main challenges in the form of limited technological competence, resistance to learning paradigm changes, and infrastructure inadequacy. Solutions that can be applied include improving teacher digital literacy, developing hybrid learning models, integrating technology that is in accordance with Catholic values, and forming professional learning communities. This research contributes to developing an implementation framework for effective and meaningful deep learning for CRE learning. Practical implications include policy recommendations for teacher professional development and phased implementation strategies in the context of Indonesian Catholic education.

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) model in enhancing the critical thinking skills of tenth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Selatan. It also examines the factors that support or hinder the use of the RBL model among these students. A qualitative approach was used, with field research as the research type. Data sources included both primary and secondary materials. Informants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers and tenth-grade students. Data collection methods involved observation, interviews, and document analysis, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that the RBL model enables students to analyze information critically, engage more actively and reflectively with the material, enhance their logical thinking, deepen understanding, and develop the ability to find and evaluate appropriate solutions. Supporting factors for the model’s success include the availability of diverse learning resources, engaging teaching methods, teacher support as facilitators, and effective group collaboration and discussion. On the other hand, limited active participation from some students was identified as a barrier. Overall, the application of the RBL model significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills compared to traditional teaching methods. This was evidenced by an increase in the average critical thinking test scores in the experimental group. Therefore, the RBL model proves to be an effective alternative strategy for enhancing both the quality and outcomes of Islamic Religious Education at the high school level. Moreover, students showed greater engagement, improved collaboration skills, and increased independence in accessing and utilizing learning materials. These results highlight the effectiveness of the RBL model in fostering critical thinking and meaningful learning experiences in PAI subjects.

This community service program is designed to enhance the competence of English teachers at SMP N 33 Purworejo in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media, particularly deep learning technology. In the digital era, many teachers still face limitations in integrating intelligent technology into classroom activities, which affects the effectiveness of learning. The program was carried out in four stages: the provision of basic materials on AI and deep learning, technical training on the use of AI applications, practical development of learning media, and mentoring combined with evaluation. The results of this activity show an increase in teachers’ understanding and skills in operating AI tools, with each participant producing at least one AI-based learning media product. Through workshops, teachers learned to use applications such as chatbots, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and AI-assisted language tools to enrich students’ learning experiences. In addition, teachers were guided to design contextual media tailored to curriculum goals and student needs. Mentoring ensured that the products created were tested, improved, and ready to be applied in the classroom. The novelty of this activity lies in its focus on practical implementation of deep learning in junior high school English teaching, positioning teachers not only as users but also as creators of innovative media. Beyond technical competence, this program fosters collaboration among teachers to sustain innovation. In the long term, the outcomes are expected to improve students’ engagement, motivation, and communication skills, and contribute to the establishment of a digital learning ecosystem that supports interactive, effective, and future-oriented education.

This study aims to explore the implementation of the 12-Year Compulsory Learning policy in Kaimana Regency, West Papua, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities faced by the Finance Section of the Education, Youth, and Sports Office in managing the education budget. This study also examines how budget management and allocation of education funds can improve access and quality of education in the area, as well as the role of coordination between local governments, schools, and communities. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used in this study to collect data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results of the study show that despite efforts to improve performance-based budget management, limited infrastructure and human resources remain the main challenges in the implementation of education policies. Weak coordination between stakeholders, as well as active community involvement, are important factors influencing the success of the 12-Year Compulsory Learning policy. This study recommends increasing the capacity of human resources, allocating more equitable budgets, and strengthening collaboration between local governments, schools, and communities to increase the effectiveness of these policies. Thus, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the implementation of education policies in remote areas and proposes practical solutions to address existing challenges. Furthermore, this study highlights the importance of transparency and accountability in education budget management as an effort to build public trust and ensure that available funds are truly used to support improvements in education quality. In the context of Kaimana Regency, which faces geographical challenges and limited access, a participatory oversight mechanism involving the community and independent oversight institutions is key to ensuring that budget allocations are not only on target but also capable of driving real change on the ground.

This study aims to describe the pedagogical competence of teachers in conducting assessments of early childhood at KB Teratai. Pedagogical competence refers to the teacher’s ability to manage children's learning, including planning, implementing, and evaluating assessments of student development. Assessment in early childhood requires a deep understanding of children’s developmental characteristics as well as the use of appropriate assessment methods such as observation, documentation, and portfolios. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers at KB Teratai possess a basic understanding of the principles and techniques of developmental assessment; however, several obstacles remain in its implementation, such as limited time, supporting facilities, and the need for further training. These findings highlight the importance of continuous improvement of teachers’ pedagogical competence to support the quality of early childhood development assessments. Based on the results of this study, pedagogical competence is essential for teachers and can be observed through their ability to use educational play tools as a medium in the learning process.

This study aims to design and develop an interactive learning medium based on Augmented Reality (AR) for the subject of Basic Electronics Engineering, particularly on the topic of active and passive electronic components, in order to enhance the understanding and learning motivation of tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The development method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which includes the stages of conceptualization, design, material collection, production, testing, and distribution. The final product of this research is an Android application utilizing AR technology to display 3D objects of electronic components, equipped with learning materials, educational videos, interactive evaluations, and a scan marker feature. The results of the development and implementation of this learning medium show that the Android application serves as an interactive medium that supports the learning process through Augmented Reality technology. The application received a score of 93% from the Media Expert, categorized as “Valid,” and 89.3% from the Material Expert, also categorized as “Valid.” Furthermore, the practicality test conducted with students showed an overall score of 93.15%, categorized as “Very Practical.” Based on the design results and validation by the Media Expert and Material Expert, it can be concluded that this interactive learning medium based on Augmented Reality technology is highly feasible for use. Furthermore, the implementation of this application in the learning process shows an increase in student participation and enthusiasm during the learning activities. Students appear more interested in exploring the material through 3D visualizations provided by AR technology, compared to conventional methods. The interactivity offered by the application, such as evaluation features and educational videos, also helps students understand concepts in a deeper and more enjoyable way. This shows that the integration of AR technology in learning media not only improves the effectiveness of the quality of the material.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in science education on students’ environmental literacy and science communication skills at SMK Negeri 3 Pekanbaru, focusing on the topic of disaster mitigation. The research employed a causal comparative approach with a post-test only design, comparing two student groups: an experimental class using the PBL model and a control class using conventional teaching. The results revealed a significant difference in environmental literacy, with the experimental class achieving a higher average score (81.86) compared to the control class (62.05). This indicates that the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' understanding, awareness, and environmentally responsible behavior. The PBL approach encourages active student engagement and the application of knowledge to real-world scenarios, which is particularly beneficial in the context of environmental issues and disaster mitigation. By working through problems related to environmental challenges, students are likely to gain a deeper understanding of the topic, which fosters a sense of responsibility towards environmental sustainability. In terms of science communication, although the experimental class showed a higher average score (75.78) than the control class (72.92), the difference was not statistically significant. This may be due to a lack of intensive training in scientific discussions and presentations. While PBL encourages collaborative problem-solving and idea-sharing, students may still require more structured practice in presenting and communicating their findings clearly and persuasively. The integration of more structured activities focusing on science communication skills could further enhance the effectiveness of the PBL model. Overall, the PBL model demonstrates positive potential in improving both environmental literacy and science communication. However, to achieve its full impact, its implementation must be consistent, with a focus on providing students with additional opportunities to develop their communication skills.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the SAP accounting information system in supporting the implementation of the Independent Learning–Independent Campus (MBKM) Internship Program at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, Gedangan Unit. SAP, as an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, was adopted to replace the previous desktop-based system, which had significant limitations, such as restricted local access, dependence on additional licenses, and lower integration capabilities across departments. The main objective of this research is to determine how SAP contributes to improving organizational efficiency while simultaneously providing practical learning opportunities for students participating in the MBKM internship program. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through direct observation of company operations, semi-structured interviews with student interns and field supervisors, and analysis of company documentation. The findings indicate that the use of SAP has enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and speed in recording and reporting financial transactions. Through their internship, students engaged directly in business processes, particularly in handling purchase requisitions, reimbursement procedures, and asset management activities. This exposure enabled students to develop a deeper understanding of integrated financial systems and the workflow of a large-scale agribusiness corporation. Although several technical challenges were encountered, particularly in the form of temporary network disruptions, such issues did not substantially hinder the system’s overall performance. The availability of prompt technical support from the company’s IT team minimized potential negative impacts and ensured system continuity. Beyond improving corporate financial governance, SAP also offered valuable experiential learning for interns, bridging theoretical knowledge acquired in academic settings with real-world industrial applications. Overall, the study concludes that SAP functions not only as a strategic enterprise tool for the company but also as an effective educational medium that supports the success of the MBKM internship program.

This study aims to describe the application of the Jigsaw Learning method in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP 3 Sendana and to identify the advantages and obstacles encountered during the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Jigsaw Learning method can increase student activeness, strengthen group cooperation, and help understand the material more deeply and comprehensively. In this activity, students not only act as recipients of information from the teacher, but also as conveyors of material to their group mates. The process of sharing information between members encourages students to be more active in seeking out, understanding, and explaining the concepts being studied. In addition, this method also creates a collaborative and enjoyable learning atmosphere, due to the positive social interactions between students. This can increase a sense of responsibility and concern for the success of the group. However, in its implementation, several obstacles were found that require attention. Some of these include limited study time within the available lesson hours, inequality in contributions between group members which sometimes results in an uneven workload, and a lack of student readiness to understand the material independently before the group discussion process takes place. Despite the challenges, these obstacles can be minimized through effective classroom management, such as balanced group division, motivation, and intensive teacher support throughout the learning process. With the right strategy, Jigsaw Learning remains an effective and relevant method for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, as it encourages the achievement of learning objectives in a participatory, active, and enjoyable manner. Therefore, this method is a worthy alternative to cooperative learning that can improve the quality of religious education at the junior high school level.

Learning fatigue is a serious challenge in the world of education, including in Christian Religious Education (CRE) subjects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of active learning methods in overcoming learning fatigue among students in CRE subjects. Furthermore, it aims to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the field of basic education, particularly in formulating more adaptive, interactive, and psychologically appropriate learning approaches. This article employs a qualitative research method by analyzing the effectiveness of active learning methods as a solution to address such boredom. Active learning methods, which include strategies such as group discussions, simulations, role-playing, and project-based learning, have proven to increase students' cognitive, emotional, and social engagement. In addition to providing an enjoyable learning experience, this approach also reinforces Christian values in the context of PAK learning. This article concludes that active learning is not only capable of reducing learning boredom but also improving the quality of the learning process holistically. Therefore, teachers need to continuously develop their pedagogical and spiritual competencies to achieve transformative PAK learning that frees students from boredom. This study is expected to serve as a practical reference for teachers and policymakers in designing relevant, interactive, and contextual learning strategies. Moreover, the implementation of active learning methods in CRE subjects can also foster a deeper connection between students and the spiritual teachings of Christianity. By engaging students through hands-on activities such as role-playing biblical stories or collaborating on projects related to Christian values, students are encouraged to actively reflect on their faith in a more meaningful and personal way.

Character education serves as a fundamental pillar in shaping a generation of morally upright, responsible, and resilient youth. It not only fosters ethical behavior but also equips children with the skills and attitudes necessary to contribute positively to society. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education among children through a combination of artistic activities—such as coloring and calligraphy—and environmental activities, specifically planting. The research was conducted in two orphanages located in Blitar Regency, namely Raudhatul Aitam Orphanage and Nurul Falah Orphanage. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that creative, participatory, and collaborative approaches are effective in nurturing essential character values among children, both under and over the age of ten. The core values instilled through the activities include appreciation for global diversity, cooperative spirit (gotong royong), faith, and environmental awareness. Practical activities, such as coloring illustrations of traditional houses, planting chili plants, and coloring calligraphic artworks, were found to enhance children’s creativity, self-confidence, patience, and social interaction skills. Moreover, these activities encouraged teamwork and a sense of responsibility, as children worked together to complete tasks and care for their environment. The study highlights the importance of integrating cultural, artistic, and ecological elements in character education programs to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Furthermore, continuous support and collaboration from various stakeholders—including caregivers, educators, community members, and government institutions—are essential to ensure sustainability. When consistently implemented, such programs have the potential to produce long-term positive impacts, helping children grow into individuals who are not only skilled and creative but also possess strong moral values and a deep sense of social responsibility.

Deep learning is a learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts and the development of critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills. Although this approach aligns with the demands of a competency-based curriculum, its implementation at the elementary school level still faces various challenges. Based on a preliminary survey, 65% of elementary school teachers in partner schools admitted to experiencing difficulties in implementing deep learning effectively in the classroom. This study aims to identify innovative strategies that can improve teacher competency through a structured training program. The training activities involved 120 teachers from 10 elementary schools who are members of the teacher working group (KKG), with a focus on mastery of deep learning concepts, the application of interactive learning methods, and the use of educational technology. The training method was implemented continuously using a blended learning approach, including face-to-face sessions, practical workshops, mentoring, and the use of digital learning platforms. Evaluation results showed that 80% of training participants experienced significant improvements in their understanding of deep learning concepts, 70% were able to integrate interactive learning strategies into the teaching process, and 60% actively utilized learning technology to enrich students' learning experiences. These findings confirm that ongoing training integrated with technology support can improve teachers' capacity to implement deep learning in the classroom. Furthermore, the program's success is also influenced by intensive mentoring and collaboration among teachers through the Teacher Working Group (KKG). The implications of this research point to the need for educational policies at the elementary school level that encourage systematic, sustainable, and technology-based teacher professional development programs. This study aims to explore the concept of Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence and its role in developing high-quality human resources, with a specific focus on the implementation at SMAIT Ash-Shohwah Berau. Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence refers to a form of spiritual capacity derived from deep interaction with the Qur’an, encompassing the intelligence of the spirit, soul, heart, and moral consciousness. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach to provide an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, participant observations during religious and academic activities, and documentation analysis of school programs. The findings reveal that the cultivation of Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence at SMAIT Ash-Shohwah Berau is systematically integrated into the school’s curriculum and extracurricular programs, particularly through the high-quality Tahfidzul Qur’an program, which is mandatory for all students. The process of memorizing the Qur’an is not only aimed at achieving mastery of verses but also at nurturing closeness to Allah SWT, shaping attitudes and values that form the foundation of high-quality human resources. Students participating in the program demonstrate notable improvements in discipline, responsibility, enthusiasm for learning, social competence, emotional regulation, honesty, independence, and leadership skills. Furthermore, the study highlights that Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence serves as a transformative element, influencing both academic achievement and personal character. It fosters an integrated development that balances intellectual capability with moral integrity, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to society. The results suggest that embedding Qur’anic Spiritual Intelligence in educational settings can be a strategic pathway for producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also spiritually grounded and socially responsible. This has significant implications for Islamic education institutions aiming to develop comprehensive human resources aligned with Qur’anic values and the demands of the modern world.

Deep learning is a learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts and the development of critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills. Although this approach aligns with the demands of a competency-based curriculum, its implementation at the elementary school level still faces various challenges. Based on a preliminary survey, 65% of elementary school teachers in partner schools admitted to experiencing difficulties in implementing deep learning effectively in the classroom. This study aims to identify innovative strategies that can improve teacher competency through a structured training program. The training activities involved 120 teachers from 10 elementary schools who are members of the teacher working group (KKG), with a focus on mastery of deep learning concepts, the application of interactive learning methods, and the use of educational technology. The training method was implemented continuously using a blended learning approach, including face-to-face sessions, practical workshops, mentoring, and the use of digital learning platforms. Evaluation results showed that 80% of training participants experienced significant improvements in their understanding of deep learning concepts, 70% were able to integrate interactive learning strategies into the teaching process, and 60% actively utilized learning technology to enrich students' learning experiences. These findings confirm that ongoing training integrated with technology support can improve teachers' capacity to implement deep learning in the classroom. Furthermore, the program's success is also influenced by intensive mentoring and collaboration among teachers through the Teacher Working Group (KKG). The implications of this research point to the need for educational policies at the elementary school level that encourage systematic, sustainable, and technology-based teacher professional development programs. The Community Service (PKM) activity with the theme "Improving Self-Potential to Become an Inspiring Young Leader" is one of the implementations of the Tridharma of Higher Education program implemented by STIE Ekadharma Indonesia. The main objective of this activity is to provide a real contribution to the community, especially students, in efforts to develop self-potential and leadership from an early age. This activity targets grade XII IPS 4 students at SMA Negeri 1 Cabangbungin with a total of 33 participants. In this activity, participants are given a deep understanding of the importance of recognizing and developing their potential, including abilities, talents, interests, creativity, and superior character that can be the foundation for becoming an inspiring and competitive young leader. The material presented in the seminar is designed to equip participants with applicable strategies and insights, such as how to recognize their strengths, build self-confidence, and improve communication and leadership skills. The material delivery process is carried out interactively to encourage active student participation and create a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. This activity also reflects the spirit of collaboration between higher education institutions and schools in preparing young people who are ready to face future challenges. Evaluation results indicate that this activity was highly effective, demonstrated by the high level of participant enthusiasm, a strong understanding of the material presented, and a positive response to the speakers. This activity is expected to inspire and motivate young people to continue developing themselves and making positive contributions, both within the school environment, on campus, and in the wider community.
