Christian religious education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and morals. Christian religious teachers are responsible for teaching God's Word with objectivity, without discrimination based on students' social, cultural, economic, ethnic backgrounds, or academic abilities. However, in practice, discrimination can still occur in various forms, both consciously and unconsciously. This study aims to analyze the competencies of Christian religious teachers in teaching God's Word objectively and to identify possible forms of discrimination in the learning process. Using a qualitative descriptive analysis method, this research examines religious education policies and teachers' experiences in the teaching process. The findings indicate that teachers with a deep understanding of theology, a neutral attitude in interpretation, discussion-based teaching methods, and high ethics and professionalism are better able to create an inclusive learning environment. To prevent discrimination, awareness and commitment from educators are needed so that the values of love and justice in Christian teachings can be realized in the learning process.

Human resource management (HR) in the government sector, especially in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) of North Sumatra Province, has a crucial role in determining the effectiveness and efficiency of public services. However, HR management in government agencies still faces various challenges, such as complex bureaucracy, lack of innovation, and employee competency gaps. This study aims to analyze the challenges in HR management and the factors that influence employee performance in order to formulate strategies for optimizing HR management in the government sector. Using qualitative research methods, data were obtained through interviews, document studies, and literature reviews. The results of the study indicate that a rigid personnel system, lack of competency development, and a recruitment and promotion system that is not fully performance-based are the main factors that hinder the effectiveness of employee work. Therefore, reforms are needed in the HR management system, such as improving the recruitment, promotion, and rotation mechanisms of employees, strengthening competency development policies through adaptive training programs, and implementing a performance evaluation system based on objectivity and transparency. With this optimization strategy, it is hoped that employee performance at the PUPR Office of North Sumatra Province can improve, so that public services become more effective and professional.

This study aims to examine the implementation of a differentiated learning model in improving maritime English language competency among maritime college students in Indonesia. The background of this study is based on the maritime world's need for graduates with good English language competency, especially in professional and technical contexts. The approach used was a mixed method, namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods within a classroom action research framework implemented over two learning cycles. Data were collected through English language competency tests, observations, and in-depth interviews. The results showed a significant increase in all aspects of maritime English competency. The highest increase occurred in speaking skills at 44.38%, while the lowest increase was in maritime vocabulary comprehension at 30.25%. After the implementation of the differentiated learning model, 78.33% of students were in the "Good" and "Very Good" competency categories. Although in the initial stages of implementation there were challenges in students' adaptation to learning methods that differ from conventional learning, these obstacles were successfully overcome through a project-based learning strategy. This strategy is considered the most effective because it is able to provide an authentic context and approximate the real conditions in the maritime workplace. Thus, it can be concluded that the differentiated learning model has proven effective in improving students' maritime English language competency. This study recommends the broader implementation of similar models in English language learning programs at maritime institutions.

Scientific writing is an important competency that must be mastered by students, especially in writing a thesis as a requirement for graduation at the undergraduate level. One of the problems often encountered is the weak ability of students to manage references and compile citations in accordance with academic rules. This condition has the potential to reduce the quality of scientific work and violate the principle of academic integrity. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve students' understanding and skills in reference management through socialization of the use of the Zotero application. This activity was carried out at the Syekh Al-Hasan Ahmad Addary State Islamic University in Padangsidimpuan, involving 45 students as participants. The methods used were socialization and training, which included the delivery of conceptual material on scientific writing and citations, as well as practical assistance in using the Zotero application. The results of the activity showed that students gained a better understanding of the importance of reference management and were able to recognize the use of Zotero as a tool to systematically compile citations and bibliographies. The output of the activity was a Zotero usage guide document that can be used as a supporting reference in writing scientific papers. The transformation of Indonesia’s educational evaluation system from the National Examination (UN) to the National Assessment (AN) is intended to improve education quality through a more comprehensive approach. This study examines the implementation of the National Assessment at SMA Negeri 21 Medan, with a focus on the disparity between the theoretical framework of formative assessment and its practical execution in the field. The research utilizes the discrepancy evaluation model with a qualitative methodology. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that although the National Assessment is designed as a formative evaluation, in practice, it is still regarded as a summative assessment disconnected from the learning process. The execution of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) continues to be dominated by multiple-choice questions, restricting the comprehensive evaluation of competencies. Moreover, the use of assessment results for educational enhancement remains suboptimal due to reporting delays and the insufficiently diagnostic format of the reports. Key supporting factors for implementation include strong school leadership, adequate infrastructure, and collaboration among schools. However, several obstacles persist, such as a limited conceptual grasp, inadequate teacher training, and administrative and curricular constraints. This study suggests reinforcing teachers’ conceptual understanding, enhancing the feedback system for assessment outcomes, and fostering deeper integration of formative assessment principles into school learning strategies. By doing so, the National Assessment can be more effectively leveraged to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment. The independent variable in this study is patient safety competency, nurse performance assessment is the dependent variable while patient safety activity is the mediating variable. The study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in the study were some nurses at Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City who had a patient safety competency certificate totaling 159 respondents. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The results of the regression analysis obtained a significant effect on patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment with ap value = 0.01. The variable that has a dominant influence is safety competency with a standardized coefficient of 0.327 compared to safety activities in patients with a standardized coefficient of 0.312. The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of patient safety competency on patient safety activities and nurse performance assessment. The results of the study are in line with previous research and theories which show that patient safety competency has a greater influence on nurse performance assessments directly compared to the presence of patient safety activities as a mediating variable, but it is possible that other factors play a role in the differences in the effects of influence between variables. Hospital policies, safety culture, and the level of awareness of the work team in implementing daily safety practices may play a role in the difference in influencing effects between variables. However, it is also possible that there are other factors such as the attitude and motivation to work of individuals who are considered not to meet the expectations of the leadership.
