The development of Islamic political thought cannot be separated from the historical context and social dynamics surrounding it. One significant period that influenced the direction of this thought is the era of Western colonialism in the 19th to early 20th centuries. During this period, much of the Islamic world was under Western colonial rule, which had a profound impact on the social, political, and intellectual conditions of Muslims. Within the Muslim community itself, various internal issues related to religious understanding arose, causing difficulties in facing the dominance and hegemony of the West. Islamic political thought became one of the fields of study in political science, which is not only relevant today but also gained attention during the classical Islamic period. This study is highly significant, both in the development of knowledge and as a framework for political practice. Therefore, it is important to study Islamic political thought, as it provides deep insights into political dynamics and Islam’s contribution to shaping existing political systems, as well as offering perspectives that are useful in facing contemporary global challenges.

This article examines the integration of constructivist theory in Christian Religious Education (PAK) by emphasizing the role of personal experience as the basis for faith formation. Through a reflective-theological qualitative approach, this research combines the constructivist thought of Piaget, Vygotsky, and Fosnot with a theological perspective on the incarnation of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. The analysis suggests that constructivism can be theologically reinterpreted into a new paradigm called the Theo-Constructive Epistemology of Incarnational Faith, in which faith is not simply taught cognitively, but is constructed through life experiences infused by the presence of God. This approach emphasizes that the learning of faith is relational, participatory, and contextual, in line with the nature of God who works in human history. The findings of this study offer a new direction for PAK praxis to be more relevant to digital contexts and cultural plurality, without losing its theocentric orientation. Thus, the integration of constructivism and incarnational theology opens up space for more dynamic, contextual, and transformative learning of faith, while strengthening the relevance of PAK in facing the challenges of modern times.

Honesty (ṣidq) is a fundamental moral value in Islam that serves as the foundation for personal integrity and social ethics. In the current era of globalization and growing materialistic culture, this value faces serious challenges as societal orientation shifts from moral virtue to economic achievement and social image. This study employs a narrative review method, analyzing recent literature on moral education, Islamic ethics, and contemporary social dynamics. The findings reveal that honesty functions not only as a personal virtue but also as a social force that strengthens public trust and national stability. However, the global wave of materialism has weakened the internalization of ṣidq, especially among younger generations. Restoring honesty as the moral identity of the nation requires synergy among character-based education, spiritual reinforcement, and public policies that promote transparency and integrity. The recontextualization of honesty through Islamic spiritual principles and Rokeach’s value theory offers a path toward moral recovery for Indonesian society amid the global challenges of the 21st century.

Electronics learning in higher education continues to face various challenges, particularly in the provision of interactive learning media capable of concretely and engagingly visualizing the form, characteristics, and working principles of electronic components. The limitations of conventional learning media often result in abstract learning processes, which in turn lead to a low level of student understanding of basic electronics concepts. This study aims to develop the AMPERE as an innovative and technologically relevant interactive learning medium. The research employed R&D approach using the Borg & Gall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, product development, validity testing, and limited implementation. The AMPERE application was developed using marker based AR technology, in which a smartphone camera detects markers to display and interact with 3D electronic component objects in real time. The results indicate that the AMPERE application achieved a high level of validity, with a score of 0.88 from subject-matter experts and 0.84 from media experts, and was therefore deemed suitable for use as a learning medium. The small-group trial results showed a practicality level of 82.07%, while the practicality test during the implementation stage reached 85.67%. These findings demonstrate that AMPERE is effective in enhancing learning interactivity and assisting students in understanding the form, function, and working principles of electronic components through smartphone-based digital visualization. Theoretically, these results are consistent with constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes active knowledge construction through direct experience and interaction with learning objects.

This study aims to examine the role of work engagement in life satisfaction among volunteers of the Involuntir community. Engagement in volunteer activities is often associated with subjective well-being; however, the dynamics of this relationship have not been fully understood, particularly in the context of young volunteers. This study employed a quantitative method with purposive sampling, involving 122 active Involuntir volunteers. The instruments used were the Utrecht Work engagement Scale (UWES-17) to measure work engagement and the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) to assess life satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho correlation test and regression analysis due to non-normally distributed data. Descriptive analysis results indicated that volunteers’ work engagement levels were categorized as high, while life satisfaction levels were categorized as moderate. The results of the Spearman’s rho correlation test revealed a significant negative relationship between work engagement and life satisfaction (r = −0.522; p < 0.05). Furthermore, regression analysis showed that work engagement had a significant effect on life satisfaction with a negative coefficient direction (β = −0.072; p < 0.05), indicating that higher levels of work engagement were associated with lower levels of perceived life satisfaction. Additionally, the Mann–Whitney difference test results indicated no significant differences in either work engagement or life satisfaction based on gender. Overall, this study suggests that high levels of volunteer engagement need to be managed in a balanced manner, as excessive engagement may potentially reduce life satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of sustainable volunteer engagement management in supporting the subjective well-being of young volunteers

Sleep is a fundamental biological need for adolescents and plays a crucial role in supporting cognitive function, emotional regulation, and overall mental health. Despite its importance, sleep quality among adolescents has increasingly declined due to the interaction of individual characteristics, social environments, and daily sleep behaviors. This article aims to analyze the factors influencing adolescent sleep quality using the Social Cognitive Theory framework through a literature review of national and international journals published between 2021 and 2025. The findings show that adolescent sleep quality is shaped by personal factors, including attitudes toward sleep, self-efficacy, and psychological conditions. Environmental factors, such as parental support, peer influence, and academic demands, also significantly affect sleep patterns. In addition, behavioral factors, particularly sleep hygiene practices, play a key role in determining sleep quality. Consistently, unhealthy sleep behaviors are associated with poor sleep quality. Therefore, comprehensive interventions are needed, involving the improvement of sleep habits, strengthening adolescents’ self-regulation abilities, and enhancing family and school support to promote better sleep quality.

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is one of the most common complications following surgery under general anesthesia, with an incidence of 20–70% in the general population and exceeding 80% in high-risk patients. PONV can reduce patient comfort, delay recovery, and increase the risk of dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and surgical wound dehiscence. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of single antiemetic therapy compared with combination antiemetic therapy in reducing the incidence of PONV in adult patients after general anesthesia, based on evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs). This study applied the Arksey and O’Malley framework for analysis. Literature was obtained from ScienceDirect, PubMed, and the Cochrane Library, published between 2020 and 2025. Identification and selection of studies followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines (Moher et al., 2009). A total of 10 articles were included and analyzed, focusing on outcomes such as the incidence of nausea and vomiting, complete response rates, and the need for rescue antiemetic therapy. The findings indicate that single antiemetic therapy remains effective in low-risk patients, whereas combination antiemetic therapy with multiple mechanisms of action provides more optimal protection, particularly in high-risk patients. These results provide an evidence-based foundation for healthcare professionals in selecting the most effective PONV prevention strategies according to individual patient risk and clinical conditions.

Forestry crimes remain a serious and recurring problem that threatens forest sustainability in Lampung Province and causes long-term environmental damage. The use of repressive penal approaches alone has been considered ineffective, as such measures tend to focus on punishment after violations occur rather than preventing crimes in advance. Therefore, this study aims to analyze non-penal efforts in preventing forestry crimes and to identify factors that hinder their effective implementation. The research used a normative juridical approach supported by an empirical approach through literature studies and interviews. The results show that non-penal strategies, including guidance, counseling, community empowerment, and conservation partnership programs implemented by the Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman KPHK UPTD, have contributed to reducing forestry crimes. Nevertheless, several obstacles continue to limit their effectiveness, such as overlapping regulations, limited numbers of law enforcement officers and supporting infrastructure, challenging socio-economic conditions of communities living around forest areas, and low levels of legal awareness and legal culture among local populations.

This study aims to examine the relationship between reading interest and students' speaking skills at the elementary school level using a literature review approach. The background of this study focuses on the importance of reading interest as an element of speaking skills that need to be honed from an early age, and there is a strong assumption that reading interest has a major influence in improving these skills. The method applied is an analysis of five scientific articles found through a search using the keywords "speaking skills", "vocabulary", and "reading interest" on Google Scholar. The results of the study showed that all studies analyzed concluded that there was a significant and positive relationship between reading interest and speaking skills. Students who have a high interest in reading generally show better speaking skills thanks to their rich vocabulary, good sentence structure, and the ability to convey ideas regularly. These findings have important implications for teachers, curriculum developers, and parents to combine reading activities with speaking activities in the educational process. Increasing literacy culture from an early age has been shown to support the development of students' oral communication skills more effectively and sustainably.
