Learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for some students is so unpleasant that it affects their interest in learning. One of the factors is that PAI learning strategies are still traditional, PAI teachers' teaching abilities/competence are still lacking, and PAI learning management strategies are not optimal. Efforts to increase PAI learning activities, PAI learning achievement, and make PAI a subject that students are interested in, the alternative is to change PAI learning strategies from traditional to progressive PAI learning strategies.

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that can be life-threatening, especially in the elderly. According to the WHO, more than 15 million people aged 30–69 years die each year from non-communicable diseases. This study aims to analyze factors influencing the incidence of hypertension in the elderly, including smoking, stress levels, culture, diet, exercise, and coffee drinking habits. This research method used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population was 738 elderly people, with a sample size of 259 elderly people, and random sampling was used. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate using the Chi-Square test, and multivariate using the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study such as Smoking with hypertension: There is a significant influence (p = 0.002), stress level There is a significant influence (p = 0.002), Culture There is a significant influence (p = 0.010), Eating patterns with hypertension are significant (p = 0.049), Exercise There is a significant influence (p = 0.003), drinking coffee with a significant influence (p = 0.048). Multivariate analysis shows that culture (p = 0.003; r = 0.177) and coffee drinking habits (p = 0.022; r = 0.139) are the most influential factors on elderly hypertension, while other factors are not significant. This study shows that smoking, stress levels, culture, diet, exercise, and coffee consumption are significantly associated with hypertension in the elderly. However, a multivariate analysis revealed that cultural factors and coffee drinking habits were the most dominant factors influencing hypertension, while other factors had no significant effect after being controlled for. Therefore, efforts to prevent and control hypertension in the elderly need to focus on changing cultural practices that are less conducive to health and regulating coffee consumption, while still considering the implementation of a healthy lifestyle overall.

This study evaluated the population status of the conch Strombus luhuanus at Asol Beach, , Haruku Island, Maluku, through an analysis of density, size structure, length–weight relationship, and spatial distribution. Data were collected using transect–quadrat methods in the intertidal zone during low tide, complemented by measurements of environmental parameters (temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen). The results revealed a population density of 2.76 ind/m², classified as moderate compared to other sites in Maluku. Shell length distribution encompassed nine size classes, with dominance in the mid-size class (3.93–4.38 cm), indicating successful recruitment of juveniles to early adults. The length–weight relationship followed the equation W = 1.871L0.0521 (R² = 0.857) with a negative allometric growth pattern, suggesting that individuals allocate more energy to shell elongation than body mass increase. The Morisita index (Id = 211.07) indicated an aggregated distribution pattern, consistent with reproductive strategies of broadcast-spawning gastropods. Environmental conditions (temperature 28.7 °C; salinity 32.66‰; pH 6.44; DO 6 mg/L) were within the tolerance range of tropical intertidal mollusks. These findings highlight the critical role of sandy seagrass habitats in supporting S. luhuanus populations and emphasize the need for management strategies based on minimum catch size, harvest regulation, and coastal habitat protection.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed commercial activities, particularly through the emergence of marketplaces as platforms for online transactions. The vast number of products available in a marketplace often creates difficulties for users in finding items that suit their needs and preferences. To address this challenge, a recommendation system is required to provide personalized and relevant product suggestions. This study discusses the implementation of a product recommendation system in a marketplace using the Collaborative Filtering method. This method works by leveraging information from users’ previous behavior, such as purchase history, ratings, and similarity of preferences with other users, to generate more accurate product recommendations. The Collaborative Filtering approach has proven effective in identifying user preference patterns based on relationships between users as well as between items. This study employs user interaction data such as ratings and shopping activities as the processing foundation. The process involves data collection, preprocessing, calculation of similarity between users or products, and generating recommendation lists. The results indicate that this method enhances the shopping experience by providing relevant product suggestions tailored to user interests, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and potentially improving sales performance in the marketplace. Thus, the application of a Collaborative Filtering-based recommendation system not only simplifies product discovery for users but also offers strategic advantages for marketplace operators in digital business competition

The black sea cucumber (Holothuria atra) holds significant ecological and economic value in tropical marine ecosystems, including those of Maluku, Indonesia. This study aimed to estimate population density, spatial distribution patterns, and their relationship with environmental conditions along the Haenesai coast, Hulung Village, Taniwel District, West Seram Regency. Sampling was carried out using the belt transect method (50 m × 2 m) at three stations with three replications, while physicochemical parameters of seawater (temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and transparency) were measured in situ. A total of 96 individuals of H. atra were recorded, with an average density of 10.6 ind/100 m². Station I exhibited the highest density (13 ind/100 m²), whereas Station II showed the lowest (9.3 ind/100 m²). Distribution patterns were generally uniform at Stations I and II, while Station III displayed a clustered pattern. These variations are likely influenced by differences in water transparency, dissolved oxygen, and substrate heterogeneity that affect food availability. Overall, environmental conditions remained suitable for H. atra, although evidence of exploitation pressure from local harvesting was observed. Ecologically, H. atra plays a critical role as a bioturbator, maintaining sediment quality and coastal ecosystem stability. This study highlights the need for regulated harvesting, habitat protection, and aquaculture development as strategic measures for the sustainable management of sea cucumber resources in Maluku.

This study investigates the use of experimental statistical analysis as an instructional approach to enhance students’ understanding of variable relationships in science learning. Many students tend to memorize experimental results without comprehending the underlying relationships between variables, resulting in limited analytical reasoning and superficial understanding. To address this issue, the present study explores how integrating basic statistical tools-such as mean, correlation, and regression-into experimental activities can strengthen conceptual comprehension, analytical reasoning, and scientific literacy. Grounded in constructivist and inquiry-based learning frameworks, the research emphasizes active engagement, where students participate in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to draw evidence-based conclusions. The study employed a quasi-experimental design involving science students divided into experimental and control groups. Both groups conducted similar laboratory experiments, but only the experimental group received explicit instruction in statistical analysis. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure changes in students’ understanding of variable relationships. The results indicated a 25% improvement in the experimental group’s comprehension and reasoning ability compared to the control group. Students who applied statistical analysis demonstrated greater proficiency in interpreting data, identifying causal patterns, and connecting theoretical knowledge to experimental findings. In contrast, students taught through traditional narrative-based instruction showed minimal gains and relied heavily on memorization. The findings highlight the effectiveness of integrating statistical reasoning in promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills.

The study used a pseudo-experimental design with a posttest-only control group design pattern. The population included the entire class VII, and the sample was randomly selected of two equivalent parallel classes, totaling 22 students each. The experimental class received the discovery learning treatment, while the control class used conventional methods. The research instrument is in the form of learning outcome tests in the form of objectives and essays that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed through normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test of two independent samples at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed significant differences between the two groups. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 80.68 higher than the control class of 72.72. The analysis of the t-test yielded a t_hitung value of 2.74 greater than t_tabel 2.01, which means that the null hypothesis was rejected. The frequency distribution in the experimental class also showed a concentration of scores in the high category, while the control class was more dominant in the medium category. These findings confirm that discovery learning not only improves cognitive learning outcomes, but also encourages students' active engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills. This study concludes that the implementation of discovery learning is effective in improving science learning outcomes in the classification of living things. Implicitly, teachers are advised to integrate this approach as an alternative to student-centered science learning strategies.

This study aims to examine the concept of servant leadership based on Matthew 20:20-28 and its relevance to the leadership of pastors in the Pakpak Dairi Protestant Christian Church (GKPPD). The background of this research stems from the dynamics of church leadership, which still faces challenges in realizing the values of service, humility, and relational closeness as taught by Jesus Christ. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach, focusing on the analysis of biblical texts and literature on biblical theology, Christian leadership, and pastoral spirituality. The results of the study show that Jesus introduced a leadership paradigm that is different from the world's pattern, namely leadership that is rooted in service, sacrifice, and love. This principle requires spiritual transformation in church leaders so that their ministry reflects the character of Christ. In the context of GKPPD, the application of servant leadership is important because of the influence of local culture, which emphasizes social structure, and the congregation's need for authentic, relational, and humble leaders. This research confirms that servant leadership is not only theological but also contextual in responding to the challenges of church life, as well as providing theoretical and practical contributions in building a leadership paradigm that is in line with the Gospel and relevant to the local church today.

This research explores the application of literary formulas in Brandon Sanderson’s novel Mistborn: The Final Empire. The research aims to identify the specific narrative formulas employed within the novel’s structure and to map the pattern by which these formulas are integrated to create its compelling narrative. Using a qualitative approach, the study applies Cawelti’s literary formulas and Vogler’s stages of the journey to analyze key scenes, dialogues, passages, and plot events. Data collection involved close reading and detailed note-taking. The findings show that Mistborn integrates three formulas: adventure, mystery, and romance, into the narrative. By mapping the protagonist’s journey onto Vogler’s twelve stages, the study shows a clear pattern where the adventure formula drives the main plot, the mystery intellectually engages the reader, and the romance provides emotional depth. These findings help explain the narrative appeal of the novel and offer a useful framework for understanding how fantasy stories are structurally composed. The study demonstrates how traditional storytelling formulas can be used to create rich and engaging narratives in modern fantasy literature.

The development of digital technology and the massive penetration of social media have transformed consumption patterns, particularly among younger generations. Excessive use of social media may lead to addictive behavior, which has the potential to trigger psychological anxiety such as fear of missing out, and ultimately encourage impulse buying behavior. Denpasar City, as a center of urbanization and consumption in Bali, serves as an appropriate location to examine this phenomenon, as its community tends to be consumptive and highly active in social media use. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of fear of missing out in mediating the effect of social media addiction on impulse buying. This study employs Uses and Gratifications (U&G) theory as the theoretical foundation, with a sample of 130 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire method. The study applied descriptive and inferential techniques, including Path Analysis, Classical Assumption Test, and Sobel Test. The findings reveal that fear of missing out mediates the effect of social media addiction on impulse buying. This study strengthens the understanding that social media not only influences social interaction but also shapes impulsive consumption behavior as a result of psychological pressure and exposure to digital content.
