The Markov Chain-based linguistic steganography algorithm can effectively hide information within human-like cover text, but it is highly limited in processing speed. A traditional implementation relying on Huffman tree-based encoding mainly suffers from slow processing due to the computational overhead of building the tree itself. To address this issue, this study proposes an enhanced algorithm using binary indexing for constant time complexity. The results were experimentally calculated using models of varying state sizes derived from the same text corpus as a control variable. Perplexity analysis was also employed to evaluate imperceptibility and ensure there were no drawbacks to the cover media’s integrity. The results indicate that the enhanced algorithm improves processing speed by up to 54 times across all state sizes without compromising imperceptibility. This establishes that the enhancements yielded a significantly faster processing speed for the existing algorithm while remaining secure in its concealment.  In practice, the algorithm was applied in legal document storage to strengthen its security.

This research aims to explore more deeply the phenomenon of slang use among UINSU Public Health students and its impact on social dynamics and the development of their identity. Through a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and participant observation, this research seeks to understand how slang plays a role in forming social bonds, creating a sense of belonging to a group, and influencing the way students interact with each other. Preliminary findings show that slang not only functions as a communication tool, but also as a symbol of identity and a means of expressing oneself. However, on the other hand, the use of slang that is too intense can blur the boundaries between formality and informality, thus potentially hampering the learning process and effective academic communication. Therefore, this research highlights the importance of balancing the use of slang with good and correct language rules, so that students can communicate effectively in various contexts without sacrificing their group identity.

Education as a systematic effort to form a complete human being has given birth to various schools of thought that have developed throughout history. Each school has unique characteristics in understanding the nature of education, goals, methods and roles of educators and students. The traditionalist school of education emphasizes the importance of inheriting past values and knowledge through structured methods. Meanwhile, progressivism prioritizes students' learning experiences with a flexible and contextual approach. Existentialism focuses on individual freedom in determining the direction of education, while essentialism focuses on mastering basic knowledge and core skills. The flow of social reconstructionism encourages education as a tool to improve social conditions and create better social change. This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the basic concepts of various schools of education, so that it can become a theoretical basis for developing educational models that are relevant to today's challenges.

This research leads to exploring the effectiveness of active learning strategies in improving students' critical thinking skills in the modern era. By utilizing a qualitative approach and field study methods, the research was conducted at SMP IT Mutiara Ilmu Sokaraja. Data was collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of principals, teachers, and 8th grade students. The results of the study prove that active learning strategies, such as group discussions, questions and answers, and project-based learning, significantly improve students' critical thinking skills. Students are honed to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems independently, so they are better prepared to face the challenges of the 21st century. In addition, the study reveals the important role of technology as a support for active learning, although its use is still limited to simple devices such as laptops and projectors. The obstacles found include limited technology facilities, learning time, and diverse levels of student readiness. These findings support Neil Smelser's concept of social adaptation, where active learning reflects an adaptive response to modernizing changes in education. The conclusion of this study is that active learning strategies are effective in building students' critical thinking skills, but require support in the form of adequate technological facilities and intensive training for teachers. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of investment in educational technology and teacher capacity building to optimize the implementation of active learning in various educational contexts.

Background: Stress is a major health threat. According to the 2022 adolescent mental health survey, 15.5 million (34.9 percent) adolescents experience mental problems and 2.45 million (5.5 percent) adolescents experience mental disorders. The results of a survey at the University of Indonesia showed that 50% of students who were doing their thesis experienced stress. This can be overcome with non-pharmacological therapy using peppermint incense aromatherapy to reduce stress levels when preparing a thesis for "X" University students. Method: The research design used in this study was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test approach with a control group. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with a simple random sampling method and obtained 58 respondents. Results: Based on analysis using SPSS 24.0, the average value (mean) of the reduction in stress levels in the experimental group was 2.76, while the reduction in stress levels in the control group was 0.00. Apart from that, the results of the paired t test in the experimental group obtained a value of Pv = 0.000 ( alpha = 0.05) which shows the influence of peppermint incense aromatherapy on reducing stress levels when preparing a thesis for students at "X" University, while in the control group the value Pv = 1,000 (alpha=0.05) which indicates there is no effect on the control group. Apart from that, the results of the Man Whitney test obtained a value of Pv = 0.000 (alpha = 0.05) which shows that there are differences between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: Based on the research above, it can be concluded that there is an influence of incense aromatherapy.
