Financial Literacy to Improve the Performance of UMKM in Depok

Abstract
This research aims to examine how improving financial literacy can enhance the financial management practices and overall performance of SMEs in Depok. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from a purposively selected sample of SMEs. The study employed thematic analysis to identify patterns in how financial literacy influences the development and implementation of financial strategies. Additionally, the research explored the role of financial literacy in decision-making processes related to cash flow management and resource allocation. The findings indicate that SMEs with higher levels of financial literacy tend to have more effective financial strategies and demonstrate better business performance. The study contributes by providing actionable insights for policymakers and educators to design targeted financial literacy programs that can support the growth and sustainability of SMEs in similar contexts.
