Financial Management in Times of Crisis: Navigating Economic Uncertainty and Global Recession

This research aims to analyse how companies manage finances in the midst of economic crises and global uncertainty, as well as to identify effective managerial strategies in surviving and adapting during a global recession. This research uses a qualitative design with a case study approach, where the analysis unit is companies affected by the global economic crisis. Data sources were obtained through interviews with financial managers, senior managers, and analysis of company policy documents related to financial management during times of uncertainty. The data collection techniques used were semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were analysed using thematic analysis methods to identify key themes related to managerial strategy and financial management. The findings of the study show that companies that successfully survive during the crisis are those that implement data-driven financial management strategies and have flexible policies in place for managing cash flow, cost reduction, and risk management. The contribution of this research is to provide practical insights for companies in managing their finances during a crisis, as well as provide guidance for leveraging technology in data-driven decision-making to deal with economic uncertainty and global recession.
