This study examines the role of spiritual intelligence in shaping students’ understanding of happiness in the digital era from an Islamic psychology perspective. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research involves university students who actively engage with social media. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal a significant shift in the meaning of happiness, from a substantive and intrinsic concept to a more symbolic and externally driven construct influenced by digital culture and online validation. Nevertheless, spiritual intelligence functions as a reflective and stabilizing mechanism, enabling students to reinterpret happiness as a deeper, more meaningful inner state. From the perspective of Islamic psychology, true happiness (sa’adah) is grounded in closeness to God and the internalization of spiritual values in daily life. This study underscores the importance of spiritual intelligence in addressing psychological challenges in the digital age and fostering a more balanced and authentic sense of well-being among students.

Islamic banks operate not only as financial intermediaries but also as institutions rooted in Islamic ethical values. Trust (amanah) and accountability represent core principles guiding financial management in Islamic banking. This study explores the meaning of amanah and accountability and examines how both principles are implemented in Islamic banking practices. Using a qualitative interpretive approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and systematic document analysis. The findings indicate that amanah is understood not merely as an individual moral obligation, but as an institutional principle embedded within organizational policies, corporate culture, and governance frameworks. This study is motivated by the position of traditional music as a cultural element that not only functions aesthetically but also plays an important role in constructing social meaning, symbolism, and collective identity within a community. This article aims to examine the social meaning and function of Tagonggong music in the Tulude tradition of the Sangihe community in Londoun Village as a diaspora community. The research uses a qualitative method with a cultural ethnographic approach through participatory observation, unstructured interviews with traditional elders, Tagonggong players, and community leaders, as well as documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and interpretatively using Alan P. Merriam's theoretical framework on the function of music. The results of the study show that Tagonggong music has a multidimensional function in the Tulude tradition, including symbolic communication, emotional expression, representation of cultural identity, reinforcement of social norms, and social integration and cohesion within the community.Tagonggong not only functions as an accompaniment to ceremonies, but also as a sacred musical instrument that connects the relationship between humans, ancestors, and God, while also marking the space and time of the ceremony. This finding confirms that Tagonggong is a living cultural archive that preserves the collective memory and ethnic identity of the Sangihe community in exile. Implicitly, this research enriches Indonesian ethnomusicology studies by positioning traditional music as an active social text in maintaining the cultural structure and solidarity of the communities that support it.

This paper examines Martin Heidegger’s philosophical thought, focusing on fundamental ontology as an effort to revive the question of the meaning of Being (Sein), which has been neglected in the Western metaphysical tradition. Heidegger criticizes earlier philosophy for concentrating primarily on entities (beings) rather than addressing the essence of Being itself. Through a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, Heidegger introduces the concept of Dasein as the distinctive mode of human existence characterized by reflective awareness of its own being. Dasein is understood as being-in-the-world, meaning that human existence is inseparable from its social, historical, and existential contexts. This paper discusses the existential structures of Dasein, including thrownness, facticity, care, temporality, and the distinction between authentic and inauthentic modes of existence. By emphasizing lived experience, Heidegger’s philosophy offers a profound and dynamic understanding of human existence beyond abstract metaphysical speculation. The paper concludes that Heidegger’s thought remains highly relevant for contemporary society, particularly in encouraging individuals to reflect on self-identity, freedom, and existential responsibility amid the complexities of modern life.

This study examines the words structure of two selected songs, “Kekal” and “Di Akhir Perang”, from Nadin Amizah’s album Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya, with a focus on identifying and interpreting the functions of open class words and closed class words within the lyrical composition. The background of this research lies in the growing interest in understanding how contemporary Indonesian songwriters construct meaning through linguistic choices that contribute to the emotional depth of their works. The objective of this study is to analyze how open class words such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs contribute to semantic imagery, while closed class words such as pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions, and aspects establish grammatical cohesion and narrative continuity. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the lyrics were segmented, categorized, and interpreted based on linguistic theory to reveal the semantic and grammatical roles of each word class. The findings show that open class words dominate the emotional and metaphorical landscape of the songs, functioning as carriers of imagery, personal vulnerability, and symbolic representation of healing, love, and existential reflection. Meanwhile, closed class words serve as structural anchors that link ideas, mark relationships between clauses, and maintain narrative fluidity, particularly in expressing inner conflict and the resolution of emotional war depicted in the lyrics. The study concludes that Nadin Amizah’s lyricism is not only aesthetically expressive but also linguistically strategic, revealing a deliberate interplay between lexical creativity and grammatical precision. These findings imply that linguistic analysis can enrich the appreciation of contemporary Indonesian music and open new perspectives for future studies in stylistics, discourse analysis, and cultural semantics.

This study examines in depth the meaning of gratitude expressed in the traditional Wu’u Nura ceremony in Daniwato Village, West Solor, as well as in the Eucharistic celebration, which stands as the central liturgy of the Catholic Church. The Wu’u Nura ceremony is a communal tradition of thanksgiving for the harvest, expressed through symbolic rituals, offerings of agricultural produce, collective prayers, and ceremonial practices that reflect a harmonious relationship between humans, nature, ancestors, and God. Through these rituals, the community strengthens social cohesion, cultural identity, and religious awareness that have been passed down across generations. In contrast, gratitude within the Eucharistic celebration is understood as an expression of faith and a theological response to God’s salvific grace manifested through Christ’s sacrifice, made present in the consecration of bread and wine. Using a qualitative method and comparative approach, this study reveals that although differing in expression, structure, and theological foundations, both practices uphold gratitude as a universal value that fosters spiritual relationships and social solidarity. The findings affirm that dialogue between local culture and Church liturgy—within the spirit of inculturation—can enrich the understanding of faith, deepen spiritual life, and support the preservation of meaningful local traditions. This study contributes significantly to cultural and theological scholarship, as well as pastoral efforts aimed at fostering harmony between religion and culture in pluralistic societies.

This study discusses how the application of media wealth by MTA TV's public relations in delivering da’wah messages through Instagram flyers on @mtatv_official in the period of 2021-2025. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, focusing on denotation, connotation, and myths. The findings reveal that MTA TV has effectively implemented four key elements of media wealth—signal diversity, language variations, personal sources, and regardless—through its use of Instagram flyers. These elements are designed to enhance the communication process, making the messages more engaging and accessible to the audience. The da’wah messages conveyed through the flyers are interpreted by the audience in three primary categories: invitation (76.67%), motivation (16.67%), and solidarity (6.67%). The majority of the audience interprets the messages as invitations to join or engage in religious activities, highlighting the importance of outreach and engagement in MTA TV's approach. The motivational aspect encourages positive actions and attitudes towards religious teachings, while solidarity, though less prevalent, emphasizes the sense of community and support within the Muslim audience. The use of media wealth on social media platforms like Instagram is shown to increase the effectiveness of da’wah messages by making them more visually appealing, interactive, and relatable to a wide audience. This study suggests that employing rich media content, such as Instagram flyers, can play a vital role in enhancing the reach and impact of religious communication. It also underscores the importance of understanding the semiotic elements in shaping how messages are interpreted by different segments of the audience, making it a valuable tool for religious organizations aiming to modernize their communication strategies.
