This study examines the implementation of RoRo ship services in Indonesia, highlighting the implementation of RoRo ships and the current national logistics framework potential strategies, particularly in the 3T region. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology that includes a literature review. It utilizes secondary data from previous studies, comprising books and original scientific reports published in articles or journals. The findings indicated 1) The use of RoRo ships has gone through progressive developments, like the government's initiative on “Sea Toll” designed to support the logistics sector, particularly in 3T regions. 2) Enhancing the logistics framework through the integration of National Logistic EcosIstem (NLE) alongside the Internet of Things (IoT) to increase logistics efficiency that is rapid, effective, and clear. Nevertheless, these initiatives faces challenges. Consequently. The proposed strategies focus on improving growth center development through logistics integration (shipping, port management, and intermodal) and implementing digitalization in logistics document processing.

The development of the digital era has triggered a significant transformation in consumer shopping patterns, which have now shifted from conventional retail to Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce). This article analyzes the phenomenon of changing consumer behavior driven by preferences for speed, practicality, and time efficiency, with the COVID-19 pandemic as the main catalyst. The study highlights that the success of Q-Commerce is highly dependent on Logistics Service Quality (LSQ), particularly in terms of timeliness, courier interaction quality, and order condition. Despite offering convenience that disrupts physical retail, this business model faces serious sustainability challenges, including high last-mile operational costs, difficulty achieving profitability leading to the closure of several market players, and intense competition from hybrid retail models. In addition, traffic safety issues and increased carbon emissions are highlighted as social and environmental impacts. The goal of this research is to explore the relationship between stock prices, liquidity, profitability, and leverage. This study focuses on transportation and logistics companies that were registered in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2021 to 2023. A quantitative approach was taken, utilizing secondary data derived from the annual financial statements of companies that were active during this time frame. The sample comprised 45 data points, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The independent variables include leverage, measured with the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), profitability, assessed through Return on Assets (ROA), and liquidity, evaluated via the Current Ratio (CR). The dependent variable for this research is the stock price. The findings from this partial analysis reveal that liquidity significantly and negatively impacts stock price, with a t-count of -2.264 and a significance level of 0.029. However, the correlation between stock price and profitability was found to be insignificant, indicated by a significance value of 0.071 and a t-count of -1.853. Similarly, leverage does not significantly affect stock price, as evidenced by a t-count of -0.657 and a significance level of 0.515. Nonetheless, when considered collectively, the three factors of leverage, profitability, and liquidity do influence stock prices. According to the coefficient of determination (R2) test, these three variables account for 13.9% of the volatility in stock prices, leaving the remaining 86.1% to be attributed to external factors not examined in this study.

The digital economy and e-commerce are rapidly transforming global markets, driving efficiency, inclusivity, and innovation. However, these developments also produce unintended consequences, particularly regarding environmental sustainability. This study aims to examine the relationship between digital transformation, the expansion of e-commerce, and their impact on carbon emissions and socio-economic outcomes. Using bibliometric analysis and VOS Viewer to map and analyze research trends from leading academic databases, this paper identifies key themes, knowledge clusters, and research gaps in the intersection of digital economy, logistics, and sustainability. The findings indicate that technological advances foster economic growth and greater accessibility but simultaneously contribute to rising energy consumption, logistics intensity, and carbon footprints. These results highlight the dual nature of digitalization as both a catalyst for inclusive development and a driver of environmental pressures. The study argues that an integrated policy framework is crucial to leverage the benefits of digital transformation while mitigating its environmental costs. It emphasizes the importance of green innovation, sustainable infrastructure investment, and inclusive e-commerce practices as key strategies for ensuring long-term socio-economic resilience. Ultimately, the paper contributes to the policy discourse by positioning innovation, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship as complementary rather than competing forces, thereby offering a pathway for future digital economy development that is both equitable and sustainable.

This study used a qualitative approach with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) as the data collection technique. This study examined the institutional factors causing long dwelling times at Tanjung Emas Port and mitigation efforts. The analysis revealed that the main root of the problem lies in the lengthy administrative and goods inspection (customs) processes, particularly in the red, yellow, and green inspection lanes. Obstacles include the lack of data integration (such as PIB and SPPB dates) between the Semarang Container Terminal (TPKS) and Customs, as well as incomplete documents by service users. A significant impact was felt on imports, where dwelling times were longer due to complicated quarantine and customs inspections, while exports were relatively unaffected.

This study aims to explore the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for immigration services at TPI Tanjung Priok Port and examine its impact on service effectiveness in Indonesia's maritime sector. The research employed a qualitative approach to analyse the gap between formal SOP guidelines and on-the-ground practices, examining internal and external factors, including resource limitations, technological constraints, and inter-agency coordination issues. The findings reveal significant disparities that lead to both positive and negative discretion amongst frontline Immigration officers, influencing service consistency, efficiency, and transparency. Negative discretion results in procedural deviations that compromise reliability and potentially foster corruption, delays, and inefficiencies. In contrast, positive discretion emerges as adaptive responses indicating weaknesses in SOP design or infrastructure. The study concludes that enhancing frontline officers' competence, motivation, and accountability is essential for achieving desired outcomes, whilst integrating technological solutions such as digital documentation and real-time monitoring is vital for streamlined, transparent, and accountable procedures. Improving SOP adherence, coupled with better resource allocation and inter-institutional cooperation, can significantly reduce vessel turnaround times, lower logistics costs, and bolster maritime competitiveness. The research advocates for dedicated training programmes, supervisory systems, and technological innovations to ensure SOP compliance, minimise discretion-driven deviations, and promote accountability, thereby optimising maritime service delivery and supporting Indonesia's strategic maritime development objectives.

This Community Service Program was conducted to enhance the competencies of supervisors in the logistics and transportation division of an international cargo company through leadership training tailored to the characteristics of Generation Z. The program aimed to strengthen participants’ capabilities in managing workplace dynamics, improving team communication, and promoting more effective performance through a flexible leadership approach. The training was held on November 18, 2025, at the company’s head office in Bekasi and was attended by 16 supervisors. The methods used included material presentations, group discussions, case study analysis, and an interactive question-and-answer session. The results indicate an increased understanding among participants regarding Generation Z work behavior, appropriate leadership principles, and more adaptive management strategies. This program is expected to provide sustainable benefits for human resource development and to enhance leadership effectiveness within the logistics sector.

Minang Rua Beach in South Lampung possesses significant tourism potential that has not been optimally utilized, primarily due to the lack of creative promotional events and limited community skills in event management. This community service aimed to enhance the capacity of the local Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) and youth in designing, managing, and promoting tourism events effectively. The method employed was a participatory training approach that included lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice covering creative event design, logistics management, budgeting (RAB), and digital promotion strategies. The training activities were met with high enthusiasm and active participation from the community members. The participants gained new, practical knowledge and skills in event planning and promotion, as demonstrated by their active engagement during interactive sessions and simulations. The improved capacity of the local community is expected to foster the independent and sustainable organization of creative events, thereby enhancing the destination's attractiveness and increasing tourist visits. This study aims to analyze inventory control of catfish seeds at ABC Company by comparing the conventional inventory method represented by the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) approach and the Just In Time (JIT) system in order to improve cost efficiency. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with company management, and documentation of inventory and cost records for the 2024 operational period. The analysis method involved calculating optimal order quantities, ordering frequency, delivery frequency, and total inventory costs using EOQ and JIT formulas, followed by a comparative cost efficiency analysis. The results show that the conventional method resulted in a total inventory cost of Rp 75,050,000 per year with high ordering frequency. In contrast, the implementation of the JIT system reduced inventory costs to Rp 18,762,500 per year, achieving a cost efficiency of 72%. These findings indicate that the JIT system is more cost-efficient than the conventional method; however, its implementation requires careful consideration of supplier capacity, logistics readiness, and biological risks associated with live inventory. This study contributes empirical evidence on the applicability of JIT in the aquaculture sector, which has different characteristics from manufacturing industries.

This study aims to analysis the impact of the presence of coal transport parking areas on the Income of the Informal Sector, identify the most dominant factors influencing Income, and examine the socio-economic impact experienced by informal sector business actors in Muara Tembesi District. This study uses a quantitative approach with Multiple Linear Regression analysis and Classical Assumption Tests to test the hypotheses. Data were obtained through surveys of informal sector business owners around the parking areas. The dependent variable is Income, while the independent variables include Age, Education, Working Hours, Initial Capital, and Distance. Comparative descriptive analysis is used to validate socio-economic changes. Data analysis shows that working hours, initial capital, and distance have a positive and significant impact on the income of informal sector business actors, whereas age and education do not significantly affect the income of informal sector business actors. Descriptively, there has been massive welfare migration, indicated by the decrease in the proportion of low-income respondents from 60 percent to only 2 percent after the intervention. The presence of parking pockets has been proven to provide a positive and transformative economic impact for the informal sector. This impact is driven by increased production inputs (Capital and Working Hours). On the other hand, logistics activities generate negative external impacts in the form of dust pollution and security risks, which require strict regulation by the Local Government.

This study discusses allegations of abuse of dominant position by Lion Air Group in the domestic aviation market and air cargo services in Indonesia. By controlling more than 50% of the market share, the group is suspected of unilaterally setting ticket prices and logistics costs, which could hinder healthy business competition and harm consumers and competing airlines. This study uses a normative juridical approach with a descriptive qualitative analysis method, supported by secondary data from legislation, KPPU reports, and academic literature related to competition law. The study's findings indicate that the concentrated market structure and weak regulatory oversight contribute to the formation of dominant behavior that harms the market and consumers. Legally, such actions violate Article 25 of Law Number 5 of 1999, as they result in discriminatory practices and unreasonable price control. Synergy between the KPPU and the Ministry of Transportation is needed to strengthen regulations in the aviation sector in order to create a business climate that is more fair, competitive, and oriented towards public welfare.

This research investigates the application of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to improve drug inventory management in a primary hospital pharmacy, with a particular focus on reducing storage costs. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied using secondary data from January to December 2024, covering annual demand, purchase price, ordering cost, and holding cost. The analysis concentrated on fast-moving vital essential and moderate vital drugs that are critical for sustaining patient treatment. The study revealed inefficiencies in the hospital's procurement practices, with some medicines simultaneously facing overstock and stockout risks, indicating weak planning. EOQ calculations provided alternative procurement quantities that were smaller but more frequent, resulting in lower storage costs and better stock control. Simulation outcomes demonstrated notable cost savings, particularly for Flamicort, Diazepam, and Ventolin. These findings emphasize the value of integrating EOQ into hospital pharmaceutical logistics to reduce financial losses, strengthen supply chain efficiency, and ensure the continuous availability of essential medicines in primary hospital settings.

This study aims to determine how to optimize container loading and unloading activities at PT. Pelindo Multi Terminal Sibolga Branch. Container loading and unloading activities are one of the main activities in port operations that greatly affect the efficiency and productivity of maritime logistics. PT. Pelindo Multi Terminal Sibolga Branch as one of the port service providers has an important role in ensuring the flow of goods in the West Coast of North Sumatra. This study is to analyze and identify factors that affect container loading and unloading performance as well as optimization strategies to improve time, costs, and resource utilization. The methods used in this study include field observations, interviews with related parties, and analysis of historical data on operational activities. The results of the study indicate that the main obstacles come from limited equipment, lack of coordination between parties, and low utilization of information technology. Suggested optimization efforts include the addition of heavy equipment for unloading, increasing workforce training, and digitalizing monitoring and scheduling systems.

In the fast-moving fashion retail industry, supply chain efficiency is a key factor in operational success. Heybeb Factory Outlet, as one of the retail business actors, faces challenges in managing the flow of goods from upstream to downstream, particularly in balancing demand between offline (physical stores) and online (e-commerce/marketplace) channels. This proposal aims to design and analyze the logistics workflow starting from goods ordering (restocking) from the central warehouse, the goods receiving process, rigorous Quality Control (QC) procedures, storage in a dedicated transit warehouse, and the stock distribution mechanism (stock split) for the two sales channels. The main issues identified include the risk of overselling in one channel while stock accumulation occurs in another, as well as the potential for defective items to pass through due to an unstructured QC process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach by mapping out an ideal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The expected outcome is the development of an integrated inventory management system capable of minimizing return rates caused by defective items and maximizing inventory turnover through accurate stock allocation between online and offline divisions.

This study aims to analyze the information technology (IT) infrastructure of PT RedEx using SWOT and McFarlan Strategic Grid methods to evaluate internal and external factors affecting IT performance and its strategic positioning. The SWOT analysis identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, while the McFarlan Grid maps IT systems into four quadrants: Strategic, High Potential, Key Operational, and Support. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that PT RedEx’s IT infrastructure supports operational activities but lacks real-time integration across branches. Based on the McFarlan analysis, most systems are in the Key Operational and Support quadrants, indicating a focus on daily operations rather than strategic innovation. Recommendations include system integration through cloud computing, digital transformation, and IT human resource development. The study provides insights into strategic IT planning for logistics companies in the digital era.

This research is aimed at examining the operational strategies carried out by PT. Samudera Sarana Karunia Dumai in ensuring the smooth operation of the Mt. Meghna Trader ship at Pelindo Dumai Port. The main focus of the research is directed at the identification and assessment of the effectiveness of operational strategies which include the planning, implementation, and control stages of various activities such as loading and unloading, logistics, coordination with relevant parties at the port, and operational risk management. This research also includes consideration of external factors, including port regulations, market conditions, available infrastructure, and supply chain dynamics. In addition, this study emphasizes the importance of continuous performance evaluation to ensure that ship operations can run according to safety standards, time efficiency, and procedural accuracy. A qualitative approach with a case study design is used and reinforced by quantitative data to get a more comprehensive analytical picture. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, direct observations in the field, review of operational documents, and surveys involving internal and external parties who play a role in supporting the operational process of ships at the port.

This research seeks to examine adaptive and sustainable internal governance approaches to enhance the operations of the Household Division within the General Bureau at the East Java Province Regional Secretariat. The study concentrates on four main elements: the integration and compatibility of SIM-BMD with financial systems and LPSE, technology-driven centralized logistics frameworks, the execution of asset lifecycle SOPs involving preventive maintenance and quick transfer methods, and the enhancement of human resource capabilities through targeted training and the creation of digital leaders. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach within a case study framework, information was gathered via detailed interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of institutional documents. The results indicate that integrating systems improves transparency, efficiency in reporting, and accountability in asset management. The centralized logistics approach paired with intelligent warehouse techniques greatly enhances distribution efficiency and decreases operational expenses. Additionally, proactive asset lifecycle management reduces the chances of asset deterioration and prolongs its useful life. Nonetheless, inconsistent digital skills among staff continue to pose a significant obstacle, necessitating ongoing training initiatives and guidance. The research suggests promoting a data-centric work environment, inclusive digital advancements, and collaboration among departments to establish a professional, effective, and sustainable internal governance framework consistent with the tenets of good governance and smart government

The purpose of this study is to investigate the strategic role of air transportation management in Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW), particularly in archipelagic contexts such as Indonesia, where rapid humanitarian response, territorial surveillance, and civil–military cooperation are essential for resilience. By applying a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), this article synthesizes findings on humanitarian logistics, technological transformation, and policy frameworks for strengthening national defense readiness. Design/methodology/approach – This study employs a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology guided by PRISMA principles, analyzing 30 scholarly contributions from 2009–2025, including international peer-reviewed journals, Routledge and Springer volumes, arXiv preprints, and Indonesian academic publications.Results highlight that strategic air  transportation is indispensable for disaster relief, medical evacuation, and supply delivery in archipelagic nations. The adoption of AI, machine learning, UAVs, and reinforcement learning has enhanced responsiveness and equity in humanitarian supply chains. However, persistent challenges include aging fleets, interoperability constraints, and fragmented civil–military coordination. The study underscores the need for modernization of air assets, institutionalized civil–military collaboration, and integration of AI-based routing and command systems. Strengthening these aspects can enhance Indonesia’s resilience and preparedness in MOOTW scenarios. This article uniquely bridges global research on data-driven air power with Indonesian defense perspectives, proposing a scalable strategic framework for air transportation management that advances archipelagic resilience.

This research investigates the impact of the work environment and workload on job satisfaction among employees in the Operational Logistics Division at Pos Indonesia, Surabaya Main Branch. A quantitative method was applied with a total of 45 respondents selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were obtained using interviews, questionnaires, and observations based on a Likert scale, and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results reveal that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while workload has a negative and significant effect. These findings indicate that an improved work environment increases employee job satisfaction, whereas higher workloads tend to decrease it.
