Growing life expectancy continues to shift global demographic patterns and significantly increase the proportion of older adults, thereby creating an urgent need for innovative programs that promote wellbeing, maintain functional capacity, and encourage meaningful social participation. This community service initiative aimed to strengthen both motor and cognitive function among older adults through structured and interactive board game activities designed to stimulate thinking, coordination, and social interaction. The program employed a mixed descriptive approach, utilizing interviews, direct observation, and brief assessments conducted before and after the intervention period. Cognitive status was measured using the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), while muscle strength was assessed through Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) to capture changes in physical performance. Quantitative analysis revealed no statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores (p > 0.05). Nevertheless, qualitative findings demonstrated meaningful positive changes, including increased motivation, more active participation, improved emotional responsiveness, enhanced social interaction, and greater awareness of brain–body coordination among participants. These findings indicate that although short-term measurable changes were limited, board game–based activities can provide valuable psychosocial benefits. When implemented repeatedly and consistently as part of routine programs, such activities may contribute to maintaining cognitive engagement, supporting emotional wellbeing, and fostering a more active and participatory lifestyle among older adults.

The paradigm of Islamic education requires the integration of Western learning theories with an Islamic perspective to create a holistic approach to education. With the rapid development of psychological theories in education, such as behaviorism, cognition, humanism, and constructivism, it is essential to examine their relevance within the context of Islamic education. This article aims to analyze the integration of these theories in Islamic learning, with a focus on their connection to key Islamic concepts such as reward-punishment (pahala-dosa), reflection (tafakkur), self-actualization, mutual assistance (ta'awun), and consultation (syura). This study uses a literature review method with a qualitative approach. Articles were gathered through Google Scholar and Publish or Perish with keywords "Behaviorism in Islamic Education" AND "Cognitive Learning in Islam" AND "Humanistic Approach in Islamic Education" AND "Constructivism in Islamic Education." Of the initial 40 articles obtained, a screening process resulted in 5 articles that met the publication criteria (2020–2025), relevance to the topic, and open access. The review results show that integrating these theories into Islamic education can enrich the learning process by linking moral, social, and spiritual elements that are essential in Islamic teachings. This literature synthesis reveals the importance of integrating psychological theories with the principles of Islamic education to create a more comprehensive and holistic educational system. Further research should develop empirical methodologies and more detailed and practical application models in Islamic education practice.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of kahoot game media on the cognitive learning outcomes of moral beliefs in grade VII C MTS negeri 1 Tuban students. The background of this research is the low enthusiasm and learning outcomes of students in learning moral beliefs which are still dominated by conventional methods while the characteristics of agency students demand a more interactive and adaptive learning approach to technology. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of one group pretest design involving 34 students as a sample. This research instrument is in the form of a multiple-choice cognitive learning outcome test of 20 questions covering 4 levels of bloom taxonomy, namely remembering, understanding, applying, and analyzing. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and normalistic calculations, the results of the study showed a significant increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes where the average class score increased from 66.03 in the pre-test to 80.29 in the post-test with an engine value of 0.42 which was in the medium category. These findings identify that kahood media has a positive impact on improving students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas implementasi Kurikulum Berbasis Konteks Minoritas dalam pembentukan karakter siswa, khususnya toleransi, tanggung jawab sosial, dan kemandirian, di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kalifa Nusantara, sebuah institusi Islam yang beroperasi di tengah mayoritas Hindu Bali. Masalah utamanya adalah kebutuhan lembaga minoritas menyeimbangkan penanaman nilai-nilai keagamaan dengan adaptasi kultural untuk menciptakan individu yang kokoh identitasnya namun partisipatif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus tunggal (single case study) di MA Kalifa Nusantara, dengan pengumpulan data melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil utama menunjukkan Kurikulum Berbasis Konteks Minoritas berhasil mengintegrasikan filosofi Islam dengan kearifan lokal Bali (Tri Hita Karana dan menyama braya) melalui kurikulum formal, kokurikuler, dan budaya sekolah. Implementasi ini sukses mentransformasi toleransi pasif menjadi toleransi aktif dan partisipatif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan pemahaman kognitif siswa terhadap budaya mayoritas dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan komunitas non-agama (Pengabdian Kontekstual). Kurikulum Berbasis Konteks Minoritas juga efektif menumbuhkan tanggung jawab sosial dan kemandirian yang selaras dengan prinsip Tri Kon Ki Hajar Dewantara. Simpulannya, model "integrasi kontekstual minoritas-sentris" ini merupakan strategi kurikulum yang sangat efektif. Model ini memperkuat karakter adaptif siswa tanpa melemahkan identitas religius mereka dan menghasilkan agen toleransi aktif. Implikasi penelitian ini menyarankan Kurikulum Berbasis Konteks Minoritas MA Kalifa Nusantara dapat dijadikan model percontohan (blueprint) bagi lembaga minoritas lain di Indonesia untuk mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam komunitas lokal.

Penurunan kognitif berkorelasi kuat dengan penurunan kualitas hidup secara keseluruhan, meningkatkan risiko isolasi sosial, depresi, dan ketergantungan sehingga perlu adanya Upaya pencegahan penurunan fungsi kognitif. Hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Puskesmas Sekaran menyampaikan bahwa dari 5 Kelurahan yang dibina oleh Puskesmas Sekaran, Kelurahan Sukorejo termasuk wilayah yang memiliki masalah kesehatan yang kompleks. Masalah kesehatan terkait lansia perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang tidak kalah penting juga. Kesehatan lansia yang di bawah pengelolaan posyandu lansia di daerah Kelurahan Sukerejo Deliksari telah berjalan dengan baik. Hanya saja wilayah tersebut terkait penanganan masalah kesehatan kognitif lansia masih perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih. Salah satu gangguan fungsi kognitif pada lansia adalah demensia. Penanganan kesehatan terkait demensia di wilayah tersebut tidak ada, hal ini dikarenakan kader posyandu lansia menganggap masalah demensia atau pikun meruapakan yang wajar dan normal bagi lansia. Maka diperlukan upaya promotif dan pencegahan dengan diadakannya pengabdian masyarakat terkait peran kader dalam deteksi dini lansia dengan demensia. Setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan Lansia mengatakan bahwa perlu melakukan kegiatan untuk tetap menjaga daya ingat diusia senja.

Kecemasan akademik adalah isu yang meluas dalam pendidikan tinggi yang secara signifikan mengganggu kinerja dan kesejahteraan mahasiswa. Artikel ini mengembangkan model konseptual Komunikasi Intrapersonal Islami yang didasarkan pada prinsip Tawakkal (berserah diri kepada Tuhan) sebagai mekanisme untuk mereduksi kecemasan akademik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan literatur, studi ini mensintesis teori psikologi komunikasi intrapersonal (dialog diri dan restrukturisasi kognitif) dengan konsep teologis Islam tentang usaha (ikhtiar) dan penyerahan (tawakkal). Temuan ini mengusulkan Model Tiga Fase: 1) Fase Pra-Aksi (Ikhtiar), di mana komunikasi intrapersonal berfokus pada motivasi proaktif; 2) Fase Tengah-Aksi (Pembingkaian Ulang Kognitif Spiritual), di mana pikiran cemas negatif ditantang dan diinterpretasikan ulang menggunakan narasi spesifik Al-Qur'an dan Sunnah (misalnya, Laa yukallifullaahu nafsan illaa wus’ahaa); dan 3) Fase Pasca-Aksi (Tawakkal), di mana dialog diri beralih ke penerimaan total atas hasil yang telah ditentukan, sehingga melarutkan kecemasan sisa. Model ini berhipotesis bahwa Tawakkal berfungsi sebagai mekanisme stabilisasi inti, yang menyediakan jangkar kognitif akhir yang mengurangi ketidakpastian hasil yang dirasakan. Kerangka konseptual ini menawarkan sudut pandang teoritis yang orisinal untuk mengembangkan intervensi konseling berbasis agama guna menumbuhkan ketahanan akademik pada mahasiswa Muslim.

The use of electronic cigarettes (vapes) among adolescents continues to increase and has emerged as a significant public health concern influenced by the interaction of individual, social, and environmental factors. This study aims to comprehensively riview the factors influencing adolescent e-cigarette use from the perspective of Social Cognitive Theory. A descriptive-narrative literature review was conducted using empirical national and international studies published between 2015 and 2025 and retrieved from Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect databases. The synthesis of the literature indicates that adolescent vaping behavior is influenced by social environmental factors, including peer influence and exposure to social media, as well as personal cognitive factors such as knowledge, risk perception, outcome expectations, and self-efficacy. These factors operate thorugh observational learning and reciprocal interactions between individuals, environment, and behavior. This review concludes that Social Cognitive Theory provides a relevant and comprehensive framework for understanding adolescent vaping behavior and offers a foundations for the development of effective health promotion interventions and preventive policies.

This study aims to analyze in depth the role of drumband extracurricular activities in developing motor and cognitive abilities of early childhood at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 50 Kindergarten, Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires involving teachers, parents, and students as research subjects. The results show that drumband activities provide a positive contribution to the development of gross and fine motor skills of children, especially through rhythmic movement exercises, hand-eye coordination, and body control when playing musical instruments. In addition to motor aspects, drumband activities also play a role in improving children's cognitive abilities, such as concentration, memory, the ability to follow instructions, and understanding musical patterns and rhythms. Children's active participation in drumband activities also helps shape discipline, the ability to work together in groups, and increases children's self-confidence. Thus, drumband extracurricular activities can be used as an effective and enjoyable learning medium to support the motor and cognitive development of early childhood holistically and sustainably.

Perkembangan anak merupakan aspek fundamental dalam pendidikan Islam yang memandang anak sebagai makhluk biologis, psikologis, dan spiritual yang membawa fitrah sejak lahir. Fitrah dipahami sebagai potensi bawaan yang mengarah pada tauhid dan nilai-nilai kebaikan, sehingga pemahaman terhadap fitrah dan tahapan perkembangan anak menjadi dasar penting dalam perancangan pembelajaran yang efektif dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji konsep fitrah anak serta relevansinya dengan proses perkembangan dan pembelajaran dalam perspektif Islam, sekaligus mengidentifikasi pandangan psikologi pendidikan Islam terhadap tahapan perkembangan anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah buku ilmiah dan artikel jurnal akademik dari basis data terpercaya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa fitrah anak menjadi landasan utama perkembangan dan pembelajaran yang mencakup dimensi spiritual, moral, intelektual, emosional, dan sosial. Psikologi pendidikan Islam memandang perkembangan anak sebagai proses bertahap dan holistik melalui integrasi aspek jasmani, akal, dan rohani dengan prinsip tarbiyah yang gradual dan kontekstual. Pembelajaran menempatkan anak sebagai subjek aktif, berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter dan kesadaran spiritual selain capaian kognitif. Dengan demikian, psikologi pendidikan Islam menawarkan paradigma pendidikan holistik yang relevan dalam mengembangkan potensi anak menuju insan kamil.

The integration of language and culture plays a crucial role in shaping the complexity of human cognitive processes. Language acts not only as a means of conveying messages but also as a conceptual system that influences how individuals construct mental representations, process information, and reason. Culture, on the other hand, provides a set of values, norms, and thought patterns that shape attention, interpretation of experiences, and strategies for understanding the social world. A review of literature from the fields of linguistic relativity, cultural psychology, neurolinguistics, and cross-cultural cognition found that differences in language structure, bilingual experience, and cultural value orientations result in variations in perception, memory, and executive function. Neurocognitive findings indicate that the influence of language and culture is evident down to the level of brain activation. Furthermore, the sociocultural approach emphasizes the role of language as a mediating tool in the process of internalizing values ​​and developing higher-order cognitive abilities. Thus, human cognition is the result of a dynamic interaction between language, culture, and social experience.

Benson Relaxation Technique on improving cognitive function in elderly with Hypertension. Using a Quasi-Experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The research sample of 10 elderly with Hypertension who showed indications of mild cognitive impairment, was taken through a Purposive Sampling technique. The Benson Relaxation Technique intervention was given 3 times a week for 2 consecutive weeks (a total of 6 sessions), with a duration of 15-20 minutes per session. Cognitive function was measured using the Mini-Mental State Examination instrument. Analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The Pretest results showed all respondents were in the Mild Cognitive Impairment category. After the intervention, there was a significant increase in cognitive function: 40% of respondents experienced an increase in status to the Normal category while the other 60% remained in the Mild Cognitive Impairment category. The bivariate test Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of p = 0.001 (<0.05). These results prove a significant difference between cognitive scores after the Benson Relaxation intervention. Research results show that the Benson Relaxation Technique effectively improves cognitive function. Benson Relaxation activates the parasympathetic nervous system, improving memory and attention in elderly people with hypertension.

Early Childhood Education is a fundamental phase in the formation of a child's character and basic skills. This period, known as the golden age, is crucial for providing appropriate stimulation so that all aspects of a child's development can develop optimally. The limited learning resources at the Bajo Sayang Early Childhood Education on Boleng Island, West Manggarai Regency, drove the need for innovative, simple yet meaningful learning media. This community service activity aims to implement interactive storytelling as a learning medium that can stimulate the cognitive and social-emotional aspects of early childhood. The implementation method used a participatory and interactive approach, where children are actively involved through questions and answers, emotional expression, and supporting activities such as singing and dancing. The results of the activity indicate that the interactive storytelling method can improve children's concentration and courage in expressing opinions. Furthermore, children also demonstrate a better understanding of basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, and anger, as well as increased empathy for the story characters.

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes and activeness of class VII F students of MTs Darul Hikmah Tulungagung in Social Studies (IPS) lessons due to the use of monotonous lecture methods. The purpose of this study is to improve students' activeness and cognitive abilities through the application of board-based scrabble media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles with four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 27 students, with data collection techniques through tests, observation, and documentation, and data analysis using average scores. Student activeness was observed based on learning activeness indicators, while cognitive abilities were measured through pre-tests and post-tests based on Bloom's taxonomy. The results of the study showed an increase in student activeness from 62% in cycle I to 87% in cycle II, as well as an increase in the average cognitive ability from 18.51% to 77.77%. These findings indicate that scrabble media is effective in improving students' activeness and cognitive abilities in IPS learning.  The implication is that game-based learning media can be widely applied to non-language materials to create more interactive and meaningful learning.

Orang tua memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan anak, baik dari segi kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Tindakan bullying sering kali dialami oleh anak-anak di lingkungan sekolah, tidak terkecuali dengan peserta didik penghayat yang mengakibatkan kurangnya rasa percaya diri. Maka dari itu, peserta didik penghayat yang mendapatkan bullying sudah pasti membutuhkan dukungan dari orang-orang terdekat, yaitu orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri peserta didik penghayat Kepercayaan Terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa di Kabupaten Tegal melalui pendekatan kognitif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari empat orang tua dan empat peserta didik penghayat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memainkan peran penting sebagai pendidik, motivator, fasilitator, dan pembimbing dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak. Pendekatan kognitif yang diterapkan, seperti komunikasi terbuka, pembentukan pola pikir positif, dan pemberian pujian, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak. Namun, orang tua menghadapi kendala seperti stigma sosial, kurangnya pemahaman tentang pendekatan kognitif, dan keterbatasan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dukungan orang tua yang konsisten dan lingkungan yang inklusif sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri peserta didik penghayat.

This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles on the cognitive development of early childhood children at KB AN-Nisa, South City District, Gorontalo City. The background of the study highlights that some children face difficulties in recognizing shapes, colors, and numbers, which are critical components of early cognitive development. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing observation and documentation techniques, involving a sample of 5 children out of a total of 35 students. The study explores how different parenting styles, including authoritarian, permissive, and democratic, impact the cognitive development of young children. The results demonstrate significant variations in cognitive abilities among children, influenced by the type of parenting they receive. Specifically, children raised in a responsive and supportive environment tend to show better cognitive development, particularly in areas such as shape and color recognition. These findings emphasize the crucial role of parenting style in providing cognitive stimulation for early childhood. They also highlight the importance of collaboration between parents and schools to optimize the cognitive development of young children, suggesting that a balanced, supportive approach to parenting can positively influence children’s learning outcomes. Therefore, this research contributes to understanding the connection between parenting and cognitive development in early childhood.

Learning evaluation is an essential component of the Islamic education system as it serves to assess the achievement of learning objectives and measure students’ development. This study aims to examine the concept of learning evaluation according to the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam and its relevance in modern educational contexts. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method, using sources from hadith collections, Islamic education books, and scientific journals. The findings reveal that the Prophet’s hadith provides a strong foundation for the implementation of learning evaluation based on three main domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Furthermore, the hadith emphasizes sincerity, justice, and exemplary behavior as essential principles in the evaluation process. The implementation of these values in modern education requires teachers to assess not only academic performance but also students’ moral and spiritual aspects. Thus, learning evaluation based on hadith serves as guidance for achieving a balanced education between knowledge, morality, and skills.

Stunting masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan kognitif, dan kualitas sumber daya manusia, khususnya di wilayah pedesaan. Upaya pencegahan stunting memerlukan pendekatan berbasis masyarakat yang mudah diakses dan berkelanjutan, salah satunya melalui Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya pencegahan stunting berbasis Posyandu melalui kegiatan sosialisasi gizi dan Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) di Desa Parumaan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam rangka kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), meliputi sosialisasi gizi kepada ibu balita dan keluarga, distribusi PMT kepada balita sasaran, pemantauan pertumbuhan melalui pengukuran berat dan tinggi badan, serta pencatatan hasil kegiatan oleh kader Posyandu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman ibu balita mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang, terlaksananya distribusi PMT secara terstruktur, serta meningkatnya partisipasi kader dan masyarakat dalam kegiatan Posyandu. Pemantauan pertumbuhan balita menunjukkan adanya perbaikan perilaku kesehatan keluarga dan peningkatan kesadaran untuk melakukan pemantauan rutin. Program ini terbukti efektif sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting berbasis masyarakat, memberikan manfaat nyata bagi keluarga balita, serta berpotensi untuk direplikasi dan dikembangkan sebagai model intervensi kesehatan berbasis Posyandu di desa lain.

This study aims to synthesize the literature on cognitive bias in auditor decision-making from 2015–2025. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA framework, 50 scientific articles were systematically analyzed. A multi-level analysis was conducted to identify dominant types of biases, their influencing factors at the individual, organizational, and institutional levels, and effective mitigation strategies. The findings reveal four primary cognitive biases: anchoring, confirmation, overconfidence, and availability bias. Factors influencing the emergence of these biases include auditor experience and professional skepticism (micro-level), time pressure and organizational culture (meso-level), as well as professional regulations and the adoption of technology like AI (macro-level), which gives rise to automation bias. Identified mitigation strategies include bias-awareness training, the use of decision support tools, and strengthening professional skepticism through a supportive organizational culture. This review provides a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of cognitive bias and offers practical implications for the development of training programs, professional policies, and audit system design in the digital era to enhance audit quality and objectivity.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kode etik guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dan keteladanan teologis dalam praktik pendidikan di sekolah menengah. Guru PAK tidak hanya dipandang sebagai penyampai pengetahuan kognitif, tetapi juga sebagai teladan hidup yang menghadirkan nilai-nilai Kristiani melalui sikap, perkataan, dan tindakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian pustaka terhadap berbagai literatur terkini yang membahas etika profesi guru, teologi pendidikan, serta praktik pendidikan agama Kristen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru PAK terhadap kode etik masih bervariasi, mulai dari yang melihatnya sekadar aturan administratif hingga yang menafsirkannya sebagai panggilan iman dan tanggung jawab moral. Keteladanan teologis terbukti menjadi aspek penting dalam implementasi kode etik karena guru PAK dituntut untuk menunjukkan konsistensi antara ajaran iman dan perilaku nyata. Implementasi kode etik dalam praktik pendidikan terlihat dalam pengajaran, relasi interpersonal, dan kerja sama kelembagaan, meski menghadapi tantangan etis seperti dilema nilai, tekanan eksternal, serta pengaruh media digital. Temuan juga menegaskan bahwa kode etik dan keteladanan teologis guru PAK berperan signifikan dalam pendidikan karakter siswa, membentuk integritas, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial. Kesimpulannya, integrasi antara kode etik profesional dan keteladanan teologis memungkinkan guru PAK menjadi agen transformasi moral dan spiritual yang relevan di tengah kompleksitas pendidikan modern. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pembinaan berkelanjutan bagi guru PAK agar mampu menghidupi kode etik dan menghadirkan teladan Kristiani dalam proses pendidikan.

Individuals over the age of 60 are vulnerable to a decline in body functions, including nervous system functions that can lead to cognitive impairment and dementia. This condition can cause the elderly to be unable to perform activities, thereby impacting their well-being and happiness. One effort to overcome this is through crossword puzzle therapy to stimulate and improve cognitive function. To implement research-based nursing actions for the elderly with decreased cognitive function. The design used in this final nursing thesis is a case study with an intervention involving crossword puzzle therapy. The number of respondents was four, with the intervention conducted over one week at a frequency of twice daily, starting from June 22–28, 2025, and continuing from June 28–July 5, 2025, at the Dharma Bhakti Elderly Care Home KM 7 Palembang. After undergoing crossword puzzle therapy for one consecutive week, the four elderly participants showed changes in their MMSE scores at the final meeting: Mrs. L from 20 to 22, Mrs. M from 18 to 20, Mrs. A from 21 to 22, and Mrs. N from 22 to 23. Here was an improvement in cognitive function before and after crossword puzzle therapy was administered to the four participants. The application of this EBP is expected to add information about the provision of crossword puzzle therapy in the elderly with cognitive decline.
