There is a deficiency in facilities and infrastructure, notably the absence of library space for reading activities. The books at SD Negeri Waruberon are not very engaging, and the reading material is overly challenging. This discourages students from dedicating time to reading books. They tend to engage in less productive activities with their friends, as they find these activities more interesting and enjoyable. In addition to the absence of supporting infrastructure, there are also environmental and familial factors. Many parents choose to provide their children with cellphones or gadgets rather than purchasing engaging books that cater to their needs. This significantly diminishes the interest in reading at SD Negeri Waruberon. For this reason, the service conducted by college students placed at SD Negeri Waruberon is intended to boost the reading interest of SD Negeri Waruberon students through the Reading Corner program. Having a reading corner in each of their classrooms means they have a comfortable space to read books and utilize their free time for meaningful activities that expand their knowledge. The research respondents were three adolescent single mothers in Purworejo Regency who were selected using a purposive sampling technique with the provision of single mothers. The results of the descriptive analysis show that adolescents who were cared for by single mothers experience problems related to learning motivation. The lack of a mother's role in providing learning motivation affects students' low motivation to study toward their learning achievement. Based on the research results, the three respondents have different characteristics. Respondents have a high curiosity for new things. The lack of curiosity in respondents with low curiosity is due to inhibiting factors that make respondents lack interest in learning. The high level of creativity in correcting failures and mastery of learning materials owned by the three respondents had an optimistic impact on the learning process and outcomes. The lack of sympathy from the closest people, especially the mother, made the respondents indifferent to the learning outcomes they achieved, so laziness and decreased interest in learning arose in the respondents. Lack of control over study hours makes respondents often ignore study time and choose to play on their gadgets, decreasing student learning scores/achievement.

This article aims to implement a culture of literacy to children starting from an early age. This is due to the rise of the digital era which makes people, especially children, choose to spend more time playing gadgets. Therefore, at this time there is a lot of degradation of insight and knowledge due to lack of motivation to familiarize themselves with reading literacy. If a culture of literacy is not applied from an early age, this will cause the possibility of interest in reading and writing for the next generation to be minimal or reduced. Therefore, an understanding of literacy culture from an early age needs to be instilled because at that age, the age of the child is stepping on the "golden age" or golden period, which ranges from when the child is 1 to 6.5 years old. At that time, children experience the development of growth and grow rapidly, so that to apply the culture of literacy methods, interest in reading or writing is easy to apply and easier to get used to.
