Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer (ChatGPT) has rapidly gained popularity and is increasingly utilized across various fields, including education, where it plays a significant role as a supporting tool for academic tasks. In the educational context, ChatGPT can assist students in preparing and completing a wide range of assignments, providing quick access to structured information and alternative perspectives. This study was designed to explore the views of both students and lecturers on the integration of ChatGPT in academic activities, specifically as a support system for handling student assignments. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with 5 students and 6 lecturers from the Business Education Study Program at the State University of Surabaya. The findings reveal contrasting yet complementary perspectives. From the students’ point of view, ChatGPT offers considerable benefits, particularly in enhancing independence, efficiency, and time management when working on lecture assignments. However, these advantages are accompanied by drawbacks, such as decreased creativity, reduced critical thinking, and diminished interest in consulting traditional learning resources like books. On the other hand, lecturers acknowledge the usefulness of ChatGPT in simplifying student work and accelerating the completion of assignments but express concerns regarding the overreliance on artificial intelligence, which could potentially hinder the development of essential academic skills. Overall, the research suggests that while ChatGPT presents valuable opportunities to enhance learning processes, it must be applied thoughtfully, with careful guidance from educators to balance efficiency with the cultivation of creativity, critical thinking, and academic integrity.

Cough and flu are common health problems experienced by the public, with high prevalence across various age groups. The widespread practice of self-medication in the community highlighted the need for proper education regarding the rational and appropriate selection of medications. This educational activity was conducted at two strategic locations: the Car Free Day (CFD) in Solo and Taman Jaya Wijaya in Mojosongo. The method involved direct socialization, distribution of educational leaflets, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. The education focused on the differences between dry and productive coughs, appropriate medication choices, flu medicine content, and the use of natural remedies such as herbal treatments. A total of 41 participants from diverse backgrounds joined the activity enthusiastically. The results showed an increase in public understanding of cough classifications, medicine components, and the importance of reading drug labels before purchase. The sessions also emphasized the need to match medications with symptoms and advised consulting healthcare professionals if symptoms did not improve within three days. Positive responses from participants indicated that direct education effectively raised awareness and encouraged more rational and safe self-medication practices.

According to Law Number 6 of 2023, which stipulates a maximum of 40 working hours per week, a survey conducted by the Kompas Daily Data Journalism Team reveals that the average working hours of lecturers in Indonesia reach 69.64 hours per week throughout 2024. This data highlights a significant discrepancy between the legal provisions and the reality of lecturers' workloads. Despite the law setting limits, many lecturers at Indonesian state universities are facing workloads that far exceed the stipulated working hours. These workloads consist of teaching responsibilities, research, community service, campus administration, and even side jobs, making it clear that the working conditions for lecturers are far from ideal. Moreover, the low salaries, especially for lecturers in private universities, have severe implications not only on individual welfare but also on the broader educational system. The low income of lecturers contributes to a looming teaching crisis on campus, which will inevitably affect the quality of education and lecturer performance. This crisis is further reflected in public sentiment. Google Trend data shows a sharp increase in searches for the phrase "don't be a lecturer," reaching a peak of 100 at the end of January 2025, indicating a growing disillusionment with the profession. In addition, a staggering 76.5% of lecturers have side jobs outside of their academic duties. The most common side jobs include consulting (32.4%), teaching (18.9%), research (16.2%), and writing (2.7%). A smaller percentage (5.41%) are engaged in informal work, such as being online motorcycle taxi drivers. These figures reveal the heavy burden on lecturers to seek additional income, which ultimately compromises their focus and performance in their primary academic roles.

In the current era of globalization and technological advancement in business, information systems play a critical role in driving organizational growth. A company’s success heavily relies on an efficient information system capable of providing accurate, timely, and relevant information. This study aims to design a web-based asset management information system to enhance asset management efficiency at PT Wisessa Consulting Indonesia. Asset management is a vital function that must be carried out to monitor the condition and status of assets. The main problems identified include the lack of integration in asset recording and the absence of a user access control system differentiated by role. The system development follows the Waterfall model, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. The developed system manages detailed asset master data, schedules asset maintenance, and regulates user access rights based on roles—namely admin, IT support admin, IT support, manager, and branch user. The implementation results indicate that the system facilitates more accurate and structured asset recording, monitoring, and reporting processes. Furthermore, the system improves asset management effectiveness, ensures data transparency, reduces errors from manual processes, and supports data-driven strategic decision-making within the organization.

This research explores the strategic positioning of Pegadaian UPC Ajibarang’s products using the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix as a tool for evaluating market performance and future potential. Pegadaian plays a crucial role as a microfinance institution by offering accessible financial solutions such as gold/jewelry pawning, gold savings (digital and physical), installment-based precious metal purchases, electronic pledging, KUR based on vehicle ownership documents, and Hajj savings plans. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, gathering insights from comprehensive interviews with both employees and customers. Findings indicate that each product faces unique obstacles and opportunities. Key challenges include customer dissatisfaction regarding service quality, limited adoption of cashless transactions by elderly clients, and traditional promotional methods relying on brochures and word-of-mouth. By mapping products based on market share and growth prospects through the BCG matrix, the study identifies which offerings should be prioritized for development, stability, or rebranding. In response, it is recommended that Pegadaian UPC Ajibarang enhance its marketing and customer service strategies, broaden digital engagement efforts, and introduce user-friendly technological solutions for older clientele. Technological advancements and digital transformation have significantly impacted business management, including the consulting sector. PQM Consultants faces challenges in managing inquiries, which are still manually handled using Microsoft Excel. This manual process results in fragmented data, delays in accessing information, input errors, and difficulties in real-time monitoring of inquiry statuses. These issues affect operational efficiency, data transparency, and timely decision-making.   This research focuses on developing a web-based inquiry management platform through the Design Thinking methodology, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of inquiry handling at PQM Consultants. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, the study gathers insights through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document reviews involving consultants and support team members who are directly engaged in the inquiry process. Research participants consist of consultants and support team members directly involved in inquiry management. The study uses a Design Thinking approach, which focuses on solving problems through repeated refinement and actively involving users throughout the development process. This framework supports the development of creative solutions by deeply understanding user needs, defining key challenges, and continuously refining ideas through prototyping and testing (Costich 2021). The Empathize stage focuses on understanding user needs and challenges. The Define stage formulates the core problems specifically. The Ideate stage generates creative ideas as potential solutions. The Prototype stage develops an initial design of the platform, which is then tested during the Test stage to gather feedback for further refinement. The results indicate that the web-based inquiry management platform effectively addresses various challenges in managing inquiry data, such as access delays, input errors, and data fragmentation. The platform enables consultants to monitor inquiry statuses in real-time, access data transparently, and make faster and more accurate decisions.
