The purpose of this study is to look at the morphology of affixation on vocabulary in Almaira's noveltoon ‘Behind Aisha's Veil’, especially in the third chapter with the theme ‘Love?’. The method used is qualitative. The data were collected through literature research and descriptive analysis that experienced affixation. This study found that the novel uses affixation, a linguistic process that involves adding affixes to the base form to produce new meanings. The study found that the use of affixes in the novel not only improves character descriptions but also increases the emotional depth of the story. The analysis results show that morphology plays an important role in shaping the meaning and characters in the story. It also shows that morphology reflects the social and cultural dynamics that women face in modern society. It is hoped that this research will enhance our understanding of how morphology is used in modern literary works.

This study investigates the hegemonic practices depicted in George Orwell’s “1984” and Okky Mandasari’s “Entrok,” comparing the methods of state control and indoctrination in both novels. Hegemony, as conceptualized by Gramsci, involves not just physical dominance but also ideological influence and societal consensus. This research employs a qualitative inductive method to explore how these novels represent state hegemony through their narratives and characters “1984” portrays a dystopian society where The  Party exerts total control, influencing citizens from childhood through public spectacles      and constant surveillance, leading to pervasive fear and compliance. Similarly, “Entrok” depicts the New Order era in Indonesia, where the state employs indoctrination intimidation to maintain power, affecting individuals and their communities. Through  comparative literature theory, this study highlights the similarities and differences in the  portrayal of state dominance in these two novels. The findings reveal that both novels  illustrate the pervasive and multifaceted nature of hegemony, emphasizing the role of  ideological control and the subtle mechanisms of power that shape societal behavior and  beliefs.

This research produces a monitoring system to determine the position of the ship using the Kalman Filter method in web-based system development using the waterfall development method. This system allows users to view the position and coordinates of the ship in real-time. By applying the Kalman Filter method, uncertainty and noise in measuring the position of the ship can be reduced, thereby increasing the accuracy in determining the actual position of the ship. The system development process is carried out using the waterfall method which consists of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The developed web-based system provides more accurate and reliable information to users, with the ability to view the position and coordinates of the ship in real time. This research contributes to the development of a more effective ship position monitoring system that can be used in various purposes such as navigation, surveillance, and ship monitoring.

The importance of the role of KSOP in ensuring the security and safety of ports in Indonesia, especially in Batam, which is one of the main ports in Indonesia. Batam Port has dense activities and has the potential to pose various security and safety risks. Therefore, the effectiveness of supervision by KSOP is crucial to prevent incidents that can harm many parties. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the role of KSOP in the supervision of port security and safety in the Batam Special KSOP area and identify the obstacles faced and efforts that can be made to overcome them. The research methods used are normative juridical and empirical juridical approaches with qualitative analysis. Data was obtained through the study of relevant laws and regulations, as well as interviews with related parties at KSOP Batam. The results of the study show that although KSOP Batam has tried to carry out supervision well, there are several obstacles that reduce its effectiveness. These obstacles include limited human resources and facilities, lack of coordination between agencies, weaknesses in law enforcement, and low awareness and compliance with safety regulations. In addition, challenges in technology and infrastructure also affect the effectiveness of surveillance. Based on these findings, this study provides several suggestions to increase the effectiveness of the role of Batam KSOP. First, increasing the number and quality of human resources through periodic training and certification. Second, strengthen coordination between related agencies through the establishment of an integrated command center. Third, improve the supervision and law enforcement process by implementing stricter and more transparent standards. Fourth, increasing awareness and compliance with safety regulations through continuous education campaigns. Finally, optimizing the use of modern technology and infrastructure to support more efficient and effective surveillance. With the implementation of these suggestions, it is hoped that KSOP Batam can significantly improve the safety and security of the port.

This research delves into the intricate connection that exists between the human condition and the reflection of nature. Through a nearby investigation of the text, this examination intends to reveal how Hawthorne complicatedly winds around together components of imagery and story to depict hidden presences - a figurative investigation of the intricacies of human life and its collaboration with the regular world. The narrative delves into the depths of individual consciousness while simultaneously reflecting the sublime beauty and mystery of nature, drawing on themes of isolation, morality, and societal norms. This study sheds light on the larger cultural and philosophical implications of the narrative by contrasting Hawthorne's portrayal with Wordsworth's philosophical perspectives on human existence and nature."

This literature review examines the increase in antibiotic resistance in Escherichia coli, a Gram-negative bacterium that frequently causes infections in humans and animals. Although most E. coli strains are harmless, some pathogenic strains have shown resistance to various antibiotics, posing a significant challenge in the healthcare field. This study highlights the various resistance mechanisms found in E. coli, including the production of β-lactamase enzymes that can inactivate antibiotics, modification of antibiotic targets, changes in membrane permeability, and increased activity of efflux pumps that expel antibiotics from bacterial cells. Additionally, this review discusses factors contributing to the spread of resistance, such as the excessive and inappropriate use of antibiotics in medicine and livestock, and the transfer of resistance genes through mobile genetic elements. The literature highlights recent research efforts to address this issue, including the development of new antibiotics, the use of antibiotic combinations, and alternative therapies such as bacteriophages and specific enzyme inhibitors. This review emphasizes the importance of strict surveillance and prudent antibiotic use policies to prevent the further spread of antibiotic resistance in E. coli, ensuring the effectiveness of bacterial infection treatments in the future.

The incidence of tinea cruris in children varies around the world. It is estimated that about 10-20% of children will experience tinea cruris as in Singapore 13.5%, and and Saudi Arabia 15.1%, in a study in Saudi Arabia tinea cruris is the second most common tinea infection in children. According to PERDOKSI in 2022, Indonesia does not yet have adequate demographic data on the skin condition of Indonesians, in addition to functioning as a form of skin disease surveillance, research on skin conditions is also needed so that handling skin problems can be done more precisely. This study aims to determine the relationship of personal hygiene and obesity to the incidence of tinea cruris in patients at The Amanda Medika Clinic in 2023. This study is a type of quantitative research using case control design. The sampling technique used in this study is Simple Random Sampling with 108 respondents. The results showed that based on The Chi square analysis can be concluded that based on the chi square test above shows the value of Asy Sig (2-tailed) shows the value of 0.048 if < 0.05 means there is a relationship of personal hygiene to the incidence of tinea cruris in patients Amanda Medika Clinic. Based on the chi square test above shows the value of Asy Sig (2-tailed) shows a value of 0.025 if < 0.05 there is a relationship of obesity to the incidence of tinea cruris in patients Amanda Medika Clinic.

Phonology is one of the main subjects that make up the study of language, which is called the scientific study of the structure of language. One way to understand the meaning of language is to compare it to other parts of language. Basically, phonology is a science that studies the sound structure of language, as opposed to the study of sentence structure (grammar), word structure (morphology), and language variation over time (history). This definition is too simplistic and unnecessary. The research method used in writing this article is library research, this method is to search for reference materials through previous scientific works, in the form of journals, theses, books, etc. According to Seewoester (2009), humor is the manipulation of language at the linguistic level. Creating confusion and ambiguity with your words can influence many reactions from your audience, including laughter and confusion. Be careful with your language. Some strategies for creating humor in comic situations use sound effects such as sound substitution, deletion, addition, deductive pairing, metathesis, and sound compatibility.
