This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, focusing on the development of pragmatic thinking in Western and Islamic traditions and its contribution to contemporary education. Data were obtained through literature reviews from books, scientific journals, and previous research results. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify similarities and differences in Western and Islamic pragmatic thinking. The results of the study indicate that Western pragmatism developed through Peirce, James, and Dewey, who emphasized truth based on practical consequences and usefulness in life. Islamic pragmatism, although not explicit, is reflected in the thoughts of Al-Ghazali and Ibn Khaldun, who combine revelation with empirical experience and public welfare. The contribution of pragmatism to contemporary education includes: (1) educational goals oriented towards social experiences and problem-solving; (2) the position of students as active subjects with growth capacity; (3) curriculum development that is flexible, experience-based, and adaptive to social changes. this research states that Western and Islamic pragmatism both provide important contributions to contemporary education, shifting the focus from knowledge transfer to the development of competencies and characters that are relevant.

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces serious challenges from the crisis of integrity and trust in the digital era, which is manifested in the weakening of social solidarity (ukhuwah) and the emergence of a toxic social environment due to disinformation and fragility of commitment. This study aims to analyze and formulate an implementation model for the values of Shiddiq (honesty and truth) and Amanah (trustworthiness and responsibility) in PAI, as well as to examine their role in building Ukhuwah and a Positive Social Environment among students. The method used is library research with a qualitative-analytical approach, involving a critical review of relevant scientific literature, journals, and books. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of these two prophetic values must be carried out transformatively through integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) methods, not merely cognitive transfer, but through real practice. The value of Shiddiq plays a central role in building trust and countering hoaxes, while Amanah ensures commitment and social responsibility, which collectively strengthen the bonds of ukhuwah. These findings imply the urgency of developing an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that is responsive to digital ethics and strengthens teacher exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah) as a model of integrity. It is recommended that future research conduct empirical tests of the proposed implementation model to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

Traffic congestion is a persistent challenge in urban areas in Indonesia, where increasing vehicle density creates the need for intelligent traffic monitoring systems. This study aims to develop a real-time vehicle parking system using the YOLOv8 object detection model to provide efficient traffic analysis from live CCTV broadcasts and recorded videos. This study uses a quantitative experimental approach with the implementation of the YOLOv8m model using the Ultralytics library in Python, tested on data collected from CCTV cameras A TCS Dishub Medan and additional footage from mobile devices. Vehicles are detected and counted in two directions up (Up) and down (Down) using virtual detection lines on the video frame. The system performance is evaluated by automatic detection counting with manually recorded ground truth data. The results show that on live CCTV broadcasts, the YOLOv8m model achieves an average precision of 98.96%, a recall of 96.59%, and an F1 score of 97.74% for upstream traffic, while for downstream traffic it achieves 100% precision, 95.64% recall, and an F1 score of 97.730/0. On the other hand, on high-quality recorded videos, all performance metrics achieve 100%, indicating perfect detection accuracy. These findings confirm the effectiveness of YOLOv8 in real-time traffic monitoring, but also indicate that video quality and stream stability affect detection performance. In conclusion, the developed system shows strong potential to support smart city traffic management solutions. Future research should focus on performance optimization under low-resolution live streaming conditions to improve accuracy in practical applications.

The background of this research stems from the need to reexamine the position of theories of truth in the philosophy of science as a basis for the formation of scientific ethics amid the increasingly complex development of modern science. The concept of truth not only functions as an epistemological guideline in determining the validity of knowledge, but also has a normative dimension that influences the integrity, honesty, and responsibility of scientists in the research process. Based on this, this study aims to analyze various theories of truth, including correspondence, coherence, pragmatism, consensus, performativity, deflationism, and foundationalism, and to explain the relevance of each approach to the formation of scientific ethics. This study uses a literature review method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a systematic search of relevant journals, books, and academic sources, which are then analyzed through thematic synthesis to obtain a comprehensive conceptual understanding. The findings show that each theory of truth has a unique contribution to building scientific ethics. Correspondence emphasizes the importance of empirical verification, coherence emphasizes rational consistency, pragmatism highlights theoretical functionality, consensus places scientific dialogue as the legitimization of knowledge, performativity connects truth with action, the deflationary approach emphasizes clarity of language, and foundationalism provides a stable epistemic foundation. The implications of this research show that the integration of these various theories can form a more robust, holistic, and adaptive framework of scientific ethics to the demands of modern scientific practice. This framework is expected to strengthen an honest, transparent, and accountable scientific culture, while opening opportunities for the development of epistemology-based research ethics guidelines in the future.

The role of the Holy Spirit is one of the central aspects of Christian theology, particularly within Evangelical theology, which seeks to uphold a balance between biblical truth and spiritual experience. This study aims to examine the understanding of the Holy Spirit in Evangelical theology, with a specific focus on the relationship between biblical pneumatology and the expressions of contemporary charismatic movements. The approach used is a theological–descriptive study through an analysis of biblical literature, classical Evangelical theological works, and contemporary research on charismatic movements in Indonesia and around the world. The findings indicate that Evangelical theology understands the Holy Spirit primarily as a divine person who works in regeneration, sanctification, and ministry empowerment based on the authority of Scripture. Meanwhile, the charismatic movement emphasizes more phenomenological aspects of the Holy Spirit’s work, such as Spirit baptism, spiritual gifts (charismata), and manifestations of supernatural power. Theological tension arises when charismatic experiences do not always align with the strict Evangelical hermeneutical principles applied to Scripture. Nevertheless, both approaches offer important contributions: biblical pneumatology preserves a healthy doctrinal foundation, while charismatic spirituality reminds the church of the importance of the Holy Spirit’s dynamic power in contemporary ecclesial life. This study concludes that integrating biblical foundations with openness to the work of the Holy Spirit can enrich the understanding and praxis of the contemporary Evangelical church. The church needs to develop a balanced pneumatology that is rooted in Scripture yet responsive to the movement of the Holy Spirit within the changing contexts of time and culture.

Modern education has produced various learning theories such as behaviorism, cognitivism, humanism, constructivism, and postmodernism, each contributing significantly to the understanding of learning processes, motivation, and knowledge formation. However, these theories are rooted in secular philosophical foundations that place humanity at the center of truth while neglecting the spiritual dimension revealed in Scripture. This condition creates tension for Christian education, which upholds the Bible as the epistemological basis and ultimate purpose of learning. This study aims to critically examine the secular assumptions embedded within modern learning theories, identify pedagogical elements that can be integrated into Christian education, and formulate strategies for Christian educators to utilize secular theories without compromising their theological foundation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review of books, journals, and relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that although modern learning theories offer valuable pedagogical insights, they contain naturalistic, rationalistic, humanistic, and relativistic assumptions that must be filtered through biblical theology. Christian educators are not required to reject secular theories entirely; rather, they bear an apologetic responsibility to discern useful methods, reject conflicting philosophical assumptions, and direct the entire learning process toward glorifying God. Thus, modern learning theories can function as effective tools within Christian education when positioned correctly as pedagogical instruments under the authority of Scripture.

The Theology of Mission in Pluralism, as presented in the Book of Jude, provides an understanding of God's mission (Missio Dei) that is universal and involves the Church's participation in proclaiming the Gospel amidst cultural and religious diversity. This study aims to explore the concept of theological mission found in the Epistle of Jude, particularly in the context of pluralism in culture and religion during the early Church period. Using an exegetical method and literature analysis, this research identifies that Christian mission according to Jude is not only limited to the proclamation of the Gospel but also includes the struggle against false teachings and the strengthening of the faith of the believers. The mission in the Book of Jude emphasizes the importance of showing compassion to those who are uncertain in their faith, as well as the need for decisive action to save people from the fire of judgment. Furthermore, this study reveals that the Church plays a central role as the sphere of mission, where the congregation is called to remain firm in faith and contribute to saving others from misleading teachings. Overall, the theology of mission in pluralism according to Jude teaches the importance of balancing firmness in upholding the truth with gentleness in guiding those who are uncertain.

Axiology is a branch of philosophy that examines values in human life, such as goodness, truth, beauty, and the benefits of knowledge. In the context of Islamic education, axiology plays a crucial role in determining the direction and goals of education, namely, to develop individuals who are balanced intellectually, morally, and spiritually, known as insan kamil (the perfect human being). Values in axiology are divided into two primary sources: divine values derived from God's revelation and His attributes, and human values derived from human experience and civilization. These two types of values serve as the foundation for developing a comprehensive Islamic education. The axiology of Islamic education emphasizes not only the attainment of knowledge but also the formation of character and morals in students. Teachers and educational institutions act as agents of values, instilling ethics, aesthetics, and socio-political awareness based on Islamic teachings. By integrating these values, Islamic education aims to produce a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also possesses noble morals and is capable of making a positive contribution to society and global civilization. Axiology, therefore, serves as a crucial foundation for realizing a meaningful and humanity-oriented education.

The number of corruption cases in Indonesia continues to increase. The termination of the investigation of alleged corruption at the Aceh Truth and Reconciliation Commission by the Banda Aceh City Resort Police based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government Internal Supervision Apparatus and Law Enforcement Apparatus raises problems because it is contrary to the Law on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes which emphasizes that the return of state losses does not erase the crime. This inconsistency raises questions about the validity of stopping corruption cases through the Memorandum of Understanding. This study aims to assess the validity of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government Internal Supervision Apparatus and the Law Enforcement Apparatus as the basis for stopping corruption cases, as well as to outline the legal process that should be taken by the Banda Aceh City Resort Police. This research uses a normative juridical method with a legislative, case, and conceptual approach, based on secondary data from various legal materials. The analysis was carried out in an analytical descriptive manner. The results of the study show that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government Internal Supervision Apparatus and the Law Enforcement Apparatus cannot be the basis for the termination of corruption cases at the Aceh Truth and Reconciliation Commission because it is only coordinated, not a source of criminal law. The note is only suitable for use to follow up on reports through audits. In addition, the Banda Aceh City Resort Police should continue the case to the investigation stage because the elements of corruption, evidence, as well as elements of mens rea and actus reus have been fulfilled without any justification or excuse. It is suggested that the memorandum of understanding can only be a coordinating guideline, not a basis for stopping corruption cases. Any report must still be processed, and the Banda Aceh City Resort Police are obliged to continue the investigation even though the state losses have been returned.

This study examines the representation of patriarchal hegemony and the forms of women’s resistance in Kartini (2017), a film directed by Hanung Bramantyo, using Antonio Gramsci’s theory of hegemony as the analytical framework. The research is grounded in the persistence of patriarchal culture that places women in subordinate positions within society, including in media and film representations. The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of patriarchal domination depicted in the film and to analyze the main character’s strategies of resistance against such hegemony. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation of scenes and dialogues that reveal social domination and acts of resistance. The analysis process involves data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing by connecting findings with Gramsci’s theoretical concepts. The results indicate that social domination in the film is represented through restrictions on women’s education, social control, and the reinforcement of traditional values that constrain women’s roles. Patriarchy operates not through physical coercion but through social consent internalized as cultural truth. Meanwhile, Kartini’s resistance is expressed through critical awareness, education, and the dissemination of emancipatory ideas as forms of counter-hegemony. The film portrays women’s struggle to challenge patriarchal structures through intellectual strength and ideological consciousness. The findings suggest that social change begins with shifts in cultural consciousness rather than merely structural transformation.

The position of judges in the process of proving civil cases occupies a fundamental role in upholding justice and legal certainty within the Indonesian judicial system. This study aims to examine the judge’s position, duties, and authority in the evidentiary process of civil cases through a literature review focusing on doctrines and jurisprudence. Using a normative juridical method with a library research approach, this paper analyzes legal theories, statutory provisions, and judicial precedents that regulate evidentiary procedures in civil law. The findings show that a judge is not merely a passive law enforcer but an active truth-seeker who must interpret and assess evidence based on principles of fairness, propriety, and moral values. The judge’s discretion in evaluating evidence reflects the responsibility to harmonize formal legal norms with the pursuit of substantive justice. Jurisprudence demonstrates that judges play an essential role in shaping evidentiary standards and ensuring that court decisions reflect the ideals of justice and legal certainty. The study concludes that the authority and independence of judges are crucial in realizing a fair trial, as they ensure that decisions are based on verified facts, logical reasoning, and moral responsibility. Strengthening the professionalism and integrity of judges is necessary to guarantee that the evidentiary process in civil proceedings fulfills the principles of equality before the law and promotes justice in society.

This study examines the biblical approach to the truth and inspiration of the Word of God in critical dialogue with Progressive Christian Theology (PCT). Using a qualitative-descriptive method and comparative biblical-theological analysis, the research explores the fundamental differences, points of convergence, and potential integration between the two approaches. PCT emphasizes the importance of socio-cultural context, moral development, and human experience in understanding faith. In contrast, biblical theology affirms the authority and unchanging nature of the Word of God as the foundation of absolute truth that undergirds church doctrine and practice. The findings indicate an urgent need to formulate a balanced synthesis between fidelity to the biblical text and sensitivity to contemporary cultural changes. This integrative approach is not intended to weaken the authority of Scripture but to enrich theological understanding so that it becomes more relevant to modern contexts without neglecting divine truth. This synthesis ultimately produces a model of church growth that is contextual, Scripture-centered, and capable of balancing love and truth in addressing contemporary theological, social, and ethical challenges. The model bears significant implications for shaping congregational spirituality, developing pastoral ministry, and guiding the church’s mission amid increasingly complex cultural shifts.

The death of Diplomat Arya Daru has opened up a space for reflection on the extent to which the state has fulfilled its investigative obligations to guarantee the right to life and the right to truth, as fundamental human rights. The delay and secrecy of the investigation indicate institutional accountability issues and weak mechanisms for protecting the rights of victims and their families. This study uses a doctrinal legal approach to examine the state's position through the perspectives of positive obligations theory and distributive justice, which emphasize the state's active obligation to protect, disclose, and restore citizens' basic rights. The analysis shows that the lack of transparency in the investigative process not only violates the principle of justice but also reflects inequality in the distribution of legal protection. The state should ensure that justice does not stop at the formal level but is realized through transparent, independent investigations based on factual truth. In the context of human rights, the state's passive attitude towards alleged violations of the right to life can be interpreted as a denial of its constitutional and moral responsibilities. This study emphasizes that fulfilling the right to truth is an integral part of distributive justice and is non-negotiable. Thus, the Arya Daru case is an important indicator for assessing the state's seriousness in realizing a legal system that is just, accountable and oriented towards respecting human dignity.
