A mid the growing complexity of contemporary education, the challenge of integrating intellectual achievement with moral and spiritual development has become increasingly urgent. This study examines educational strategies in the Qur’an through the perspective of tafsir tarbawi, focusing on four core approaches: exemplary conduct, advice, dialogue, and storytelling. The research aims to explore how the Qur’an presents pedagogical methods that not only convey knowledge but also shape character and internalize values in learners. Employing a qualitative library research design with thematic and tafsir tarbawi approaches, this study analyzes relevant Qur’anic verses and supporting scholarly literature. The findings reveal that the Qur’an offers a holistic and dynamic model of education in which exemplary conduct functions as a behavioral model, advice serves as a means of value internalization, dialogue promotes reflective and critical thinking, and storytelling strengthens moral awareness through narrative experience. These strategies are interconnected and operate across cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains. The study concludes that Qur’anic educational strategies remain highly relevant for contemporary Islamic education, particularly in strengthening character formation, reflective learning, and the integration of values in educational practice.

The research in this paper aims to explore the concepts and principles of the educational environment from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith using a tafsir tarbawi (educational exegesis) approach. The developmental dynamics of human potential, both spiritual and intellectual, do not occur in a vacuum but are heavily influenced by environmental factors (educational ecology). By employing textual, thematic, and contextual analysis methods on several key verses such as QS. Al-Alaq: 1-5, QS. At-Tahrim: 6, QS. Luqman: 13-19, QS. Al-Kahfi: 66-70, and QS. Al-Hujurat: 13 this study maps the Islamic educational ecosystem into several primary domains. The results of the analysis indicate that the Qur'an constructs the educational environment as an integrative macro-systemic unity, comprising the domestic family environment (as a fortress for moral and creedal protection), the formal academic school/pesantren environment (as a space for teacher-student etiquette and ethics), and the socio-communal environment (as an arena for egalitarian multicultural inclusivity). Furthermore, this study formulates five fundamental paradigms of Islamic educational ecology: the integralistic, tawhid (monotheistic), humanistic-egalitarian, gradual-systemic, and transformational-emancipatory paradigms. This theoretical reconstruction corrects Western secular empiricism while simultaneously providing a holistic foundation for educators in managing an educational environment that aligns with divine revelation values and the demands of modern civilization.

A moral crisis occurs when a person loses the attitude, character, and behavior that are in accordance with goodness. Moral and ethical crises often occur among the younger generation in Indonesia due to various factors, such as the impact of globalization, the influence of social media, the lack of parental involvement, and the lack of character education in schools. This study aims to explore the relevance of character education values in M. Quraish Shihab's Tafsir Al-Mishbah to the problems faced by students in the contemporary era. The crisis of morality, bullying, and the threat of radicalism are the background to the urgency of internalizing contextual Qur'anic values. This research is qualitative in nature, using library research, a thematic approach, and content analysis. The results show that the concept of character education in Tafsir Al-Mishbah is rooted in the relationship between the meaning of Rabb and tarbiyah, which aims to shape Insan Kamil through intellectual and spiritual balance. Analysis of Q.S. Luqman: 12-13, Q.S. Al-Hujurat: 11-13, and Q.S. Al-Mujadilah: 11 reveals fundamental values such as monotheism, gratitude, tolerance, and manners in seeking knowledge. The relevance of the findings shows that Quraish Shihab's moderate (wasathiyah) thinking is very effective in protecting students from extreme ideas, building digital literacy ethics through the principle of tabayyun, and eliminating the culture of violence in schools through a humanistic approach. This study concludes that Tafsir Al-Mishbah offers a functional methodological framework for strengthening the character of 21st-century students.

Tafsir tarbawi is an approach to interpreting the Qur’an that emphasizes the extraction of educational values to shape holistic human character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of tafsir tarbawi in the process of Islamic education and examine its relevance in shaping students’ character in the modern era. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, where data are collected through the analysis of various academic sources such as books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that tafsir tarbawi can be effectively implemented through the integration of Qur’anic values into educational curricula, the application of value-based learning methods, and the reinforcement of teachers’ exemplary behavior as role models. Furthermore, this approach encourages the internalization of spiritual, moral, and social values within students. Therefore, tafsir tarbawi plays a strategic role in developing learners who are not only intellectually competent but also possess strong character, noble morals, and the ability to face life’s challenges wisely.

Pendidikan humanistik menekankan pengembangan potensi manusia secara utuh dan menempatkan peserta didik sebagai subjek pembelajaran. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, nilai-nilai tersebut memiliki landasan normatif dalam Al-Qur’an, salah satunya QS. An-Nahl (16):125. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep dan nilai-nilai pendidikan humanistik yang terkandung dalam QS. An-Nahl (16):125 ditinjau melalui pendekatan tafsir tarbawi, serta menganalisis implikasinya terhadap pengembangan konsep pendidikan humanistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan (library research) dengan sumber data utama berupa Al-Qur’an dan kitab-kitab tafsir, serta literatur tarbiyah dan jurnal ilmiah relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model maqāṣid-interpretatif untuk mengungkap tujuan dan nilai pendidikan dalam ayat yang dikaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa QS. An-Nahl (16):125 memuat tiga prinsip utama, yaitu bil ḥikmah, mau‘izhah ḥasanah, dan mujādalah bi-allatī hiya aḥsan, yang mencerminkan nilai rasionalitas, empati, dan dialog edukatif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan humanistik memiliki dasar konseptual yang kuat dalam Al-Qur’an dan relevan untuk pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang humanis dan dialogis.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru sebagai subjek pendidikan dalam perspektif tafsir tarbawi berdasarkan Q.S. Al-Kahfi ayat 66-67 serta relevansinya bagi pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Kisah dialog antara Nabi Musa dan Nabi Khidir merepresentasikan relasi edukatif antara murid dan guru yang dilandasi adab, kesabaran, kerendahan hati, dan keteladanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber data diperoleh dari Al-Qur’an, kitab tafsir tarbawi, serta buku dan artikel jurnal pendidikan islam yang terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik Analisis tematik menggunakan pendekatan tafsir tarbawi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa guru perspektif Al-Qur‟an tidak hanya berperan sebagai penyampai ilmu, tetapi juga sebagai pembimbing moral dan spiritual peserta didik. Nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam Q.S Al-Kahfi ayat 66-67 memiliki relevansi yang kuat untuk diterapkan dalam pendidikan MI, khususnya dalam penguatan adab belajar dan pembentukan karakter Islami peserta didik.

This study explores the educational (tarbiyah) dimensions in the Qur’an based on Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11, focusing on achieving balance between intellectual, spiritual, and social aspects within Islamic education. The verse emphasizes that Allah elevates the ranks of those who believe and possess knowledge, highlighting the harmonious relationship between faith, knowledge, and social ethics in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to uncover the tarbawi values contained in the verse as a conceptual foundation for developing a holistic Islamic education framework. This research employs a qualitative method using a library-based study with a tafsir tarbawi approach, drawing upon classical sources such as Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurthubi, as well as contemporary literature on Islamic education. The findings reveal that Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11 underscores the importance of integrating intellectual intelligence, spiritual depth, and social sensitivity as the core of educational development. These insights imply that Islamic education should not only prioritize knowledge acquisition but also foster moral character and spirituality as essential elements of lifelong learning.

Artikel ini membahas nilai-nilai pendidikan akhlak dalam QS. Al-Balad ayat 11–16 serta implementasinya dalam pembiasaan etika sosial di lingkungan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Dalam konteks pendidikan dasar Islam, penanaman akhlak sosial memiliki urgensi yang tinggi karena menjadi dasar pembentukan karakter dan perilaku peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tafsir tarbawi dengan mengkaji makna ayat berdasarkan tafsir Ibn Kathir, Al-Maraghi, dan Al-Misbah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ayat-ayat tersebut mengandung nilai empati, kepedulian sosial, tolong-menolong, kasih sayang, dan kesabaran. Nilai-nilai tersebut dapat diimplementasikan melalui pembiasaan di kelas MI seperti kegiatan tolong-menolong, berbagi, kerja kelompok, serta metode keteladanan guru. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru MI mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an ke dalam setiap aspek pembelajaran dan menumbuhkan kultur sosial yang berkarakter Islami.
