The drainage channel located on Jalan Ketintang, Gayungan District, Surabaya, East Java, is influenced by geographical conditions, vulnerable to damage due to landslides and flooding. Along with the presence of quite high rainfall during the wet months (October - January), the problem of inundation in the form of flooding always arises in the area. To minimize flooding, it is necessary to repair the channel (capacity) periodically at certain periods. In the period of August - December 2022, channel repairs were carried out by installing a fabricated rectangular channel using U/DITCH 150/150. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the value of the design flood discharge (Q) and obtain the value of the channel dimensions that can accommodate the design flood discharge at a return period of 5 years and 10 years. The analysis in this thesis is in the form of obtaining rainfall data at 3 (three) rainfall stations, namely Perak 1, Perak 2 and Juanda rainfall stations, rainfall data using 2008 – 2022 (15 years) data, calculation of planned discharge using the Log Pearson Type III method, rainfall data testing using the Smirnov Kolmogorof, rainfall intensity using the Mononobe model, and calculation of designed flood discharge using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph. The results of the analysis show that the design flood discharge obtained is 17.1 m3⁄s (10-year return period) and the dimensions of the planned channel are a square channel measuring 1,325 m x 1,325 m. This is in accordance with the capacity of the 150/150 U/Ditch channel installed along 945 meters which can minimize the occurrence of inundation/flooding/overflow of channels in the area because the channel has been repaired and the capacity is enlarged

Stroke patients often experience mobility limitations, which impacts access to dental health services, including denture care. This condition can lead to unmanaged dentures, thus impairing masticatory function, nutritional status, and quality of life. A home care approach is one solution to improve access to dental services for patients with special needs. To report the management of direct removable denture repair in a single visit in a stroke patient using a home care approach and to evaluate the clinical outcomes. This study is a case report of a 77-year-old male patient with a history of recurrent stroke and limited mobility. Examination and treatment were performed at the patient's home. The direct removable denture repair was performed using autopolymerizing acrylic resin in a single visit. Following repair, the denture demonstrated improved retention and stability and was reusable. The patient reported improved comfort while eating without any pain or post-procedure complications. One-visit denture repair through a home care approach is an effective and efficient method for stroke patients with limited mobility and has the potential to improve their quality of life through rapid restoration of oral function.

Submarine pipelines are vital infrastructures in aviation fuel distribution, carrying high risks of operational disruption, safety issues, and environmental pollution. In 2025, the aviation fuel receiving submarine pipeline at Integrated Terminal Ampenan was deformed due to mechanical pulling by MT Anargya I, causing system shutdown. This incident created risks of seawater intrusion, marine pollution, and potential fuel shortages at Lombok International Airport. This study evaluates the effectiveness of applying a double-ended draining method combined with an oil bubble trap as a fast, safe, and sustainable solution for submarine pipeline repair. Using a case study and descriptive-analytical approach based on the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP), the research analyzed quality, cost, delivery, safety, environmental, and workforce aspects. The results showed the method effectively drained aviation fuel without seawater contamination, prevented marine spills, maintained fuel quality within specifications, and completed repairs before critical stock levels were reached. Additionally, it provided significant cost savings compared to emergency supply operations and achieved zero safety incidents and environmental pollution. The integration of double-ended draining and oil bubble trap proved to be an effective, adaptive innovation with strong potential for replication and standardization in other aviation fuel submarine pipeline systems.

This household appliance and machine repair and maintenance program is designed to promote economic independence for the community in Sedati Village, Sidoarjo, by strengthening technical skills based on local potential. The underlying problem of this activity is the community's high dependence on external repair services and limited ability to handle household appliance damage independently. Therefore, the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach is used, which focuses on utilizing the assets, potential, and capacity already possessed by the community. The program is implemented in a participatory manner, with stages including identification and mapping of local assets, joint planning, technical skills training, hands-on practice, and activity evaluation. The results show an increase in the community's ability and understanding in performing simple household appliance maintenance and repairs. Furthermore, the community is beginning to recognize economic opportunities from their skills, thus potentially developing independent repair service businesses. Thus, the application of the ABCD approach in this activity has proven effective in strengthening the community's economic independence in a sustainable manner through optimizing local assets. Going forward, ongoing mentoring efforts are needed to ensure that the potential that has been established can continue to develop and provide broader economic benefits.

Project scheduling is an important element for shipyard companies to gain more profit. The most frequently used analysis is the Critical Path Method (CPM). However, in reality, planning using the CPM method is considered less efficient because it does not consider the productivity of each job in it and adds safety time which causes the project duration to become longer. In accordance with the above problems, a new method for planning project schedules is now being developed, namely Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). CCPM is a project planning method that emphasizes the resources needed to carry out existing tasks in the project. This method is carried out by eliminating multitasking, student syndrome, Parkinson's law and providing a buffer at the end of the project. In this final project, a comparison of the duration of the results of applying the CCPM method with the Critical Path Method (CPM) method is carried out in a case study of ship repairs at PT. Galangan Kapal Madura. The initial project scheduling uses the traditional method in the form of a Gantt chart which is then broken down in more detail and completely with the relationship between activities in the form of CPM, and then will be compared with the duration of the results of CCPM scheduling which has eliminated multitasking, eliminated Safety time for each activity and provided a buffer in the work.

The problems encountered are damage to the rubber wheel mount and universal/cross joints on the 90 m/hour capacity wood profile making machine, which can affect the uniformity and speed of wood profile making. Maintenance and repair planning aims to be able to create a maintenance and repair schedule for the 90 m/hour capacity wood profile making machine for the period 2026, estimate maintenance costs and the ratio of maintenance and repair costs to machine profits. The maintenance planning method includes collecting maintenance data from previous maintenance periods, reviewing the specifications of the wood profile making machine, estimating the age and price of components that are estimated to be damaged, estimating the cost and duration of dismantling and installing components that have been repaired in accordance with the provisions of the requirements for usable components or replacement spare parts, scheduling maintenance and repairs, estimating maintenance and repair costs for the period 2026, and determining the ratio of maintenance costs to profits. The planning results in the form of a maintenance-repair schedule for the period 2026; maintenance and repair costs in 2026, the ratio of maintenance costs to profits, and their implications indicate that the machine is still prospective and usable.

The problem faced is the decline in the performance of a 650 liter/minute centrifugal pump due to wear on components, especially the impeller, rolling bearings, and mechanical seals in supplying process water and clean water in industrial production systems. The planning objective is to obtain a maintenance schedule for a 650 liter/minute centrifugal pump for the operational period of 2026 and the ratio between maintenance costs and profits generated by the machine. The maintenance planning method includes collecting maintenance data from previous maintenance periods, reviewing centrifugal pump specifications, applying the inspection, replace, repair, and overhaul (IRRO) approach, estimating the age and price of components that are expected to be damaged, estimating the cost and duration of dismantling and installing components that have been repaired in accordance with the provisions of the requirements for usable components or replacement parts, scheduling maintenance and repairs, estimating maintenance and repair costs for the 2026 period, and determining the ratio of maintenance costs to profits. The planning results are in the form of a maintenance schedule for the 2026 period worth IDR 4,290,000,-, a maintenance cost to profit ratio of 7.44% and the implications indicate that the machine is still suitable for use and prospective for operations in the next few years.

Corrective maintenance is one of the maintenance strategies performed after system failures or malfunctions occur, particularly in diesel power plants (PLTD) that play a crucial role in supplying electricity to remote areas such as Jayapura. This study aims to identify the types of failures occurring in diesel engines at the Jayapura PLTD and to evaluate the corrective maintenance actions implemented. Data were collected through direct observation during an internship program, interviews with technicians, and analysis of historical maintenance and failure records. The results indicate that the most common failures occurred in the lubrication system, fuel system, and cooling system. Corrective actions included component repairs, spare part replacements, and system adjustments. The application of timely and appropriate corrective maintenance significantly reduced machine downtime and improved the reliability of the power generation system. This study recommends integrating corrective and preventive maintenance strategies to maximize operational efficiency of the PLTD.

In this case, it refers to the purpose of the content in this final assignment, namely by compiling a schedule for the Implementation of KM.Mutiara Ferindo 5 Ship Maintenance during the docking process at the PT.PAL Indonesia shipyard. Making a schedule includes what components are repaired while the ship is in the shipyard, making a schedule for managing ship maintenance that has been carried out at the shipyard. The data used in this thesis is data from PT.Antosim Lampung Pelayaran Surabaya and the researcher himself. The type of data used in this study is Primary data, in this Primary data the researcher will obtain data obtained directly from the statements of the workers who will be related to the problem being studied and the results of questionnaires distributed to several employees related to this study. In the implementation of repairs, there is a list of jobs that show how many work items must be done. So this list of jobs has been approved to be carried out in the ship repair process. The repair work of the KM. Mutiara Ferindo 5 ship which carries out planned repairs both at the shipyard and when the ship anchors at sea carries out technical and economical maintenance. Repair work on RO-RO vessels involves extensive maintenance, as determined by the ship's office and authorized crew members. The repair work on the KM Mutiara Ferindo 5 was well-planned, including safety equipment and components that play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the ship (maintenance of the entire engine room, deck, safety equipment, and maintenance of the ship's interior and exterior). An economic system was implemented to estimate the remaining funds after maintenance at the shipyard.

Legal protection for consumers is a crucial element in the legal relationship between business actors and the public, particularly in high-risk service sectors such as gas stove repair services. In practice, many consumers still experience losses due to negligence by service providers, whether caused by inadequate technical handling or insufficient information regarding the condition of the stove after repairs. This study aims to identify and analyze the forms of legal protection available to consumers who suffer losses as a result of such negligence, as well as to determine the types of legal liability that may be imposed on gas stove repair service providers. Using a normative legal research method, this study applies both legislative and conceptual approaches. The legislative approach examines relevant laws and regulations concerning consumer protection, while the conceptual approach analyzes legal principles and expert doctrines related to liability. The findings indicate that consumer protection is provided in two forms: preventive protection, which ensures product and service safety in accordance with Indonesian National Standards (SNI), and repressive protection, which is implemented through enforcement mechanisms such as claims for compensation or dispute resolution through the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency (BPSK) or the courts. Business actors who commit negligence in providing repair services can be held legally responsible based on the principles of negligence or strict liability. To strengthen consumer protection, the study recommends the establishment of derivative regulations concerning technician certification, standardized repair service procedures, and integrated supervision of safety compliance within the gas stove repair service industry.

Frequent damage to the grinding disc components and the transmission system of the 15 kg/hour rice flour grinder is a problem faced. The purpose of scheduling component maintenance and repairs is to obtain predictions of maintenance and repair schedules and costs for the period 2026. The component maintenance and repair scheduling method includes examining previous period maintenance and repair data, applying the inspection-replace-repair-overhaul (IRRO) method, assessing component conditions, estimating component life, estimating technician costs, estimating supporting work equipment and supporting materials to be used in maintenance, estimating the time for replacing spare parts or reinstalling components after repair, estimating maintenance and repair costs in 2026, and calculating the maintenance cost to profit ratio. The results of component maintenance and repair scheduling show that the maintenance cost in 2026 is Rp 1,370,000,- with an estimated annual profit potential of Rp 21,600,000, and the maintenance cost to profit ratio is 6.3%, which implies that the 15 kg/hour rice flour grinder is still quite prospective and feasible to use for the next few years.

The problem with the sugarcane press machine is a decrease in performance in sugarcane pressing because it has been used since 2020 with an initial price of IDR 3,000,000, which is predicted to be IDR 5,500,000 in 2025 which occurs in the main components of the roler mill, V-belt, and bearings. The purpose of scheduling replacements and repairs is to obtain a schedule, estimated maintenance costs, and the ratio of replacement and repair costs to the profit of renting a sugarcane press for the period 2026. The scheduling method includes collecting data on the use of the sugarcane press machine, a list of replacements for 5 components for roler mills, V-belts, bearings, gasoline motor tanks, and engine frames from 34 components, component prices, estimated labor costs, equipment costs, supporting material costs, application of the inspection, replace, repair, and overhaul (IRRO) method, scheduling replacements and repairs, and calculating the ratio of replacement costs to profits. The results of the replacement and repair scheduling are in the form of maintenance costs of IDR 958,000, with a rate of IDR 10,000/hour for 588 hours/year, resulting in a profit of IDR 5,880,000, and a ratio of maintenance and repair costs to profit of 0.16%.

Overburden removal is a critical phase in coal mining operations, as it directly affects production continuity and operational efficiency. However, production realization often deviates from the mine plan due to various operational constraints. This study, conducted at Pit K1 Mahakam of PT. Insani Baraperkasa, evaluates the causes of underachievement in overburden stripping targets using the Six Big Losses framework, which classifies inefficiencies into Breakdown Losses, Setup and Adjustment Losses, Idling and Minor Stops, Reduced Speed Losses, Process Defect Losses, and Reduced Yield Losses. The analysis revealed that the dominant losses were Reduced Speed Losses (26%) and Setup and Adjustment Losses (10%), primarily caused by disposal congestion, shift changes, and repairs at the loading and disposal areas. Minor contributions were found from idling (3%), production losses (5%), while breakdown losses showed negligible impact. These factors led to increased standby time and reduced equipment cycle effectiveness. Improvement strategies are recommended through optimized disposal allocation, reduction of waiting time, and stricter control of external operational disruptions to enhance stripping efficiency and achieve production targets.

Infusion Device Analyzer is a tool for testing the performance of an infusion pump and Syringe Pump. This tool measures flow and occlusion provided by the infusion pump and syringe pump. So a tool is needed to calibrate the infusion pump and syringe pump according to applicable standards so that swelling does not occur in the patient. The design of this calibration tool can also be used as student learning material so that students can understand and comprehend the working principles of the Infusion Device Analyzer. This tool is made using the Arduino Uno control system and there is an occlusion and flow measurement display along with room temperature and humidity which will be displayed on the Nextiton 4'3 Inch LCD. Accompanied by an optocoupler sensor as a liquid flow detector and an MPX5700AP sensor as a liquid pressure detector which is equipped with a DHT22 sensor as a room temperature and humidity meter. This calibrator tool is also equipped with a solenoid valve to regulate the entry of fluid to be measured between flow or occlusion measurements. The function test results show that the flowrate measurement of 10 is 12ml/h, 50 is 54ml/h, 100 is 105ml/h while the occlusion with a rate of 100 is 2.66 psi and the tolerance value for the parameters is appropriate. Therefore, the tool created is close to the desired plan and can be used as a suitable comparison of whether a Syringe Pump or Infusion Pump tool is suitable after repairs or during maintenance. This tool can also be used in learning for students to understand the parts of the working principle of this tool.

Preventing accidents during drilling and well service operations is a constant and primary concern for every company or contractor operating in the upstream business. Accident analyses often identify a number of causative factors and/or anomalies, where equipment-related items play a significant role. This article concentrates on the rig inspection process as a consistent method for detecting equipment-related anomalies before operations commence. These inspections allow necessary repairs to be made in a timely manner, thereby limiting the occurrence of accidents after the rig becomes operational. When thorough and systematic rig inspections are performed, the percentage of accidents where equipment failure is the primary cause remains very low. However, the factor of equipment condition contributing to accidents still persists in a significant number of cases. Drilling rig mast inspection is a crucial component in maintaining the safety and efficiency of drilling operations. This inspection process aims to detect structural anomalies and equipment conditions that could affect rig performance. In this study, we analyze the inspection methods applied to rig masts, including visual inspection, non-destructive testing, and condition monitoring. The results of these inspections are expected to identify potential risks and enable necessary repairs before operations begin. Through the implementation of systematic and standardized inspection procedures, companies can reduce the likelihood of accidents and equipment failures, thereby enhancing workplace safety. This study also discusses the importance of training for inspection personnel to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to detect potential problems that may arise. Thus, drilling rig mast inspection contributes not only to safety but also to overall operational efficiency.

The Sugio–Tlanak Road Section, Sugio District, Lamongan Regency, is a vital transportation infrastructure as it connects interregional activities, both in economic, social, and community mobility aspects. This road is the main route used by various types of vehicles, from light vehicles to heavy vehicles with quite high traffic intensity. This condition has a significant impact on the quality of the road pavement, as indicated by the presence of various types of damage at several points, such as cracks, potholes, and road surface deformation. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation is needed to determine the level of road damage as a basis for consideration in planning maintenance and repairs. This study uses two assessment methods, namely the Bina Marga method and the Pavement Condition Index (PCI). The Bina Marga method assesses road conditions based on the Surface Distress Index (SDI) value obtained from direct identification in the field. The evaluation results show that the road condition on the Sugio–Tlanak section is classified as severely damaged at 60%, moderately damaged at 30%, and good condition at only 10%. Meanwhile, the PCI method provides results in the form of more detailed quantitative values. The analysis results obtained an average PCI score of 58.6, which is included in the Fair category. A comparison of the two methods shows that the Bina Marga method has advantages in terms of speed and ease of implementation, but its assessment is relatively subjective. In contrast, the PCI method provides more accurate and measurable results because it uses a quantitative approach with clear damage condition parameters. Therefore, although the Bina Marga method can still be used for rapid assessments in the field, the PCI method is more recommended as a basis for technical decision-making in planning road maintenance and quality improvement programs.

This community service aims to improve the understanding and basic skills of the community in Hewuli Village, Sikka Regency, in maintaining and carrying out minor repairs to motor vehicles. This activity is part of the implementation of the Diagnostic Strategy course, which integrates theory with direct practice in the field. The training focuses on early identification of vehicle problems, periodic maintenance steps, and handling minor damage that often occurs. The methods used in this activity include interactive lectures, demonstrations, and direct practice by participants. The results of the activity show an increase in the knowledge and technical skills of the community in carrying out minor services independently. This activity is expected to encourage independence and provide added economic value to the local community through applicable technical skills.

Predictive Maintenance is a maintenance activity that focuses on monitoring equipment conditions in real-time and analyzing data to predict potential failures before they occur, allowing repairs to be made in a timely manner before major damage occurs. One of the methods used in predictive maintenance is "Infrared Thermography” or use of technology thermal imaging technology. In the context of predictive maintenance, thermography can be used to identify problems that are not visible to the naked eye, such as poor electrical connections, excessive heat buildup, or damage to components that cause heat leakage The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Predictive Maintenance with Infrared Thermography method on electrical equipment at PT PHM. The method used in this research is the observation method with primary and secondary data collection. The results showed that the implementation of predictive maintenance with the Infrared Thermography method on electrical equipment and systems at PT PHM was effective in helping the company avoid unnecessary costs and improve operational efficiency. Predictive maintenance allows companies to perform maintenance to identify potential damage before it occurs and can take preventive action so as to reduce repair costs, and operational productivity.

Ships as the main mode of transportation that has a strategic role in trade transportation, the trade supply chain really needs proper operations. The operational of the ship is greatly influenced by the performance of the main engine. One of the critical components of the main engine is the exhaust valve which functions to regulate the release of exhaust gas from the combustion chamber to the exhaust manifold. The research is qualitative, collecting data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The event tree analysis (ETA) method is implemented the sequence of impacts produced by exhaust valve, such as high working temperatures, low engine performance, and standard functions described in the manual book so that leaks can be identified. So, From this analysis, the impacts that are traced sequentially to the performance of the exhaust valve itself can also be found. In addition, a fishbone diagram is used to describe the factors that cause leaks, including human error, managerial deficiencies, neglected inspections, and errors in maintenance techniques. Thus, the right handling can be found to overcome exhaust valve leaks, such as repairs required while the engine is stopped, repeated spare part submissions from ship management, conducting spindle thickness inspections, and improving maintenance techniques as specified in the engine manual book. Proper and effective preventive and handling actions based on the root causes outlined are essential to ensure proper operation of the machine.

This study aims to analyze customer experience with the services provided by F21 Sinergy Motorcycle Workshop. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and participatory observations of 12 customers who have used the workshop's services more than once.
