Pronunciation in a second language (L2) is often influenced by the first language (L1), which can hinder intelligibility. Indonesian speakers struggle with certain English sounds, such as /θ/ and /ð/, due to their absence in the L1 phonetic system. To identify the influence of L1 on L2 pronunciation in the context of English language learning in Indonesia and propose strategies to reduce negative transfer effects. This qualitative study used a case study approach, involving 9 students from an English club at XYZ School. A pronunciation test was conducted to measure phonetic transfer between L1 and L2. Results show that L1 phonetic transfer causes errors in specific phonemes. Words with higher phonetic complexity are more challenging to pronounce correctly. Negative phonetic transfer and a lack of prosodic training were identified as major obstacles. Context-based and intensive phonetic training significantly improves pronunciation skills. L2 pronunciation errors are strongly influenced by L1, phonetic complexity, and individual experience. Contextual learning and individualized approaches positively impact pronunciation improvement.

This study explores spelling errors in posts by the Instagram account @info_surabaya, focusing on mistakes in spelling, language variations between Indonesian and English, and grammatical structures. Using a qualitative approach, the study analyzed text collected from selected posts within a specific timeframe. The findings reveal frequent issues such as inconsistent capitalization, incorrect use of loanwords, punctuation errors, and inappropriate word choices. Additionally, the influence of slang, regional languages, and informal writing styles was found to affect the quality of written communication. This research aims to provide practical recommendations to enhance awareness and adherence to proper Indonesian language usage, particularly on social media platforms.    

This study aims to determine (1) spelling and writing errors; (2) grammatical errors; (3) punctuation errors; and (4) inconsistent use of terms in Kompasiana's online news entitled "Pakuwon Mall Surabaya Green Building Innovation for a Sustainable Environment". This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with documentation methods and literature studies or literature reviews and observations as data collection techniques. Based on the analysis carried out, there are several related errors: (1) spelling errors including typos and use of prepositions; (2) grammatical errors including incorrect use of sentence subjects and use of phrases; (3) punctuation errors including the lack of use of commas in several sentences; and (4) inconsistent use of terms including the use of foreign languages ​​that are not accompanied by their meanings.      

This research explores strategies to support novice learners in developing their writing skills in the English Education Study Program at an Indonesian university, the Islamic Institut of Palangka Raya. Writing is often considered one of the most challenging aspects of language learning, requiring a combination of vocabulary knowledge, grammatical precision and structural coherence. The participants, five beginner learners, were selected using purposive sampling and underwent a writing task that progressed from sentence-level exercises to paragraph construction. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and direct observation, and analyzed thematically. Findings showed that challenges such as limited vocabulary, grammatical errors, and psychological barriers such as low self-confidence hindered students' progress. Effective strategies included guided sentence construction, collaborative writing exercises, and exposure to structured templates and quality reading materials. The participants reported improved confidence and skills through positive feedback and step-by-step writing tasks. The findings suggest that integrating motivating and structured learning methods can significantly improve writing ability among beginners, contributing to their academic and personal growth.

This study aims to analyze spelling errors in the use of Indonesian on social media platforms, focusing on a case study of Twitter menfess (X) of Veteran National Development University students in East Java. Social media has become a popular means of communication among students, but the use of Indonesian often uses non-standard language and the use of incorrect spelling. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis, in which 20 data were collected from menfess posted by students on Twitter (X) during a certain period. The results of the analysis show that there are many spelling errors in the college students' menfess posts on Twitter (X). The findings show that, although university students have an understanding of Indonesian language, the influence of social media and fast communication habits can cause a decline in language quality. This research is expected to provide insights for the development of language policy among university students, as well as raising awareness of the importance of good and correct language use in the digital era.

The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of language errors in the phonology of Joko Widodo's last speech at the 79th Anniversary of the TNI in 2024 at Monas. This research was conducted by means of a literature study. The data source for this study was a document, namely a video. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique was to observe and take notes, in addition to listening carefully to the acquisition of data sources. In the video, there were 17 errors in the phonology level of phoneme deletion and 6 phoneme changes.

This activity aims to develop and advance religious education in the ability to write hijaiyah letters and increase children's love for the Koran at the Al Ikhlas Pakalongan Musholla. This service uses the PAR method, namely a method where the teacher gives special tasks so that students carry out activities by practicing. In an effort to optimize students' skills and also based on phenomena that occur in the local community in teaching the Qur'an. Students can also utilize their free time or free time with productive activities which are also useful for increasing their ability to write hijaiyah letters. This service activity produced several results, namely: increasing students' skills or expertise in writing the Koran, increasing knowledge of hijaiyah letters, and students being able to pronounce hijaiyah letters well. Learning hijaiyah letters is very important to maintain scientific truth, obey the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and protect the language so that reading errors do not occur.

The results of the data analysis prove that students still make many mistakes in using the numerals "er" and "liang". The types of errors made by class VII students of SMP Wahidin when using the numerals "er" and "liang" consist of 178 selection errors, 80 sequencing errors, 4 addition errors and 2 subtraction errors. While the factors causing errors consist of mother tongue interference as many as 12 people, lack of discussion of the material as many as 2 people, Mandarin language learning strategies as many as 2 people and teachers who are not serious in teaching as many as 8 people.

Bahasa Indonesia as an official communication tool had grammatical guidelines such as Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan (EYD) V, which was used to regulate the use of letters, punctuation, and word writing. One important aspect of this grammar was the correct use of capital letters. Unfortunately, there were still many errors in applying this rule, both in scientific and non-scientific writing. This study aimed to analyze the capitalization errors in the three winning letters of the Writing a Letter to the Minister of Education and Culture competition published on the Instagram account @kemdikbud.ri. This research used a qualitative method to examine the errors in capitalization in more depth. The results showed that most errors occurred in using capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper names, and there were also inappropriate capital letters in the middle of sentences. Further education on capitalization was still needed, especially to improve good and correct writing skills according to Indonesian language guidelines.

his study aims to analyze language errors according to the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI) in newspapers amidst the shift in mainstream media to new media. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the forms of language errors, such as the use of spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure in newspaper news. The shift in media consumption from print to digital also affects the quality of language presentation. This study found that although digital media facilitates access, language standards are often neglected. This article provides an impression for media development to maintain language quality in facing changes in the digital era.

In this film, language is used as a medium to convey moral messages related to education and life motivation. However, there are several language errors that affect the clarity of the meaning communicated to the audience. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with semantic analysis, focusing on errors in word usage, both denotative and connotative meanings. Data were collected through observation of the dialogues in the film, which were then analyzed based on the semantic errors found. The results show that there are 20 language errors, including inappropriate word choices, ambiguous sentence structures, and the use of non-standard words. The correction of these errors is expected to improve communication clarity in the film and contribute to a deeper understanding of the application of proper language norms in audiovisual works. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the analysis of language errors in semantics and enhance the quality of communication in film media.

The manual payment system for Education Development Contributions (SPP) and student savings at SMP Putra Bangsa faces various obstacles, such as recording errors, loss of proof of payment, and difficulty tracking transaction history. This study aims to develop a web-based information system to overcome these problems. The research method involves needs analysis, system design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), and web-based implementation. The results show that the designed system can simplify the transaction process, improve recording accuracy, and provide transparent access for students, homeroom teachers, and administration. This system is also able to produce real-time financial reports to support management decision making.

When conducting research, many language errors were found in the writing of observation reports in class 8A of SMP 20 Tasikmalaya. The approach used is descriptive qualitative combined with language error analysis theory. Research data on student learning outcomes is in the form of 36 texts. Data was collected using interview and observation techniques. The research results showed that there were 25 students who made mistakes and 11 students who did not make mistakes, especially at the phonological level. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of success of students in writing observation report texts.

The purpose of this article is to analyze language errors in sentences with syntactic and semantic studies. The method used is descriptive qualitative. As a result, there are still many errors found in sentences in social media. Errors in terms of syntax are found in sentence structure errors and redundant words. While in terms of semantics, inaccuracy, the use of slang, and the influence of foreign languages are factors in errors In social media. This can encourage to empowerment of grammar on social media.

Mistakes in writing during learning have become common, especially for students who do not fully understand writing. Inspirational texts are texts that can inspire readers through the author's writing, whether through imagination or facts that occur in real life, containing inspiring content. The purpose of this analysis is to improve the writing structure of texts produced by ninth-grade students, who often write without paying attention to proper writing conventions. The research method used in this study is descriptive-analytical. The sampling method used is a single inspirational text created by a student as the research material. The results obtained from the research and analysis of these spelling errors include 12 categories, but there are still some identical words that were not included because they have already been categorized.

The aim of this research is to design and build an online marriage registration service information system at the KUA Tinggi Raja District using the CodeIgniter framework which can support or facilitate marriage registration at the KUA Tinggi Raja District. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with the waterfall system development method. The applications created are designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) including Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams. The software used in designing this application uses the PHP programming language, XAMPP as the web server, MySQL as the database. The result of this search is an application for the Tinggi Raja Regency KUA Online Marriage Registration Service so that this application can support the Telluwanua Regency KUA Online Marriage Registration Service. The application was tested using the black box test method and results were obtained without program errors, while for questionnaire testing using usability the results were very in line with the score, namely utilization of 96%. Hopefully this application can help online marriage registration services at the KUA Tinggi Raja District.

Rumah Makan Mie Happy is a medium-scale culinary business. Happy Noodle Restaurant provides noodle-based preparations. In its daily life, Happy Noodle Restaurant can serve around 100 consumers, so that the service process requires speed to serve consumers. But in fact, Mie Happy Restaurant still uses manual data processing and transaction management, so it often experiences problems such as slow payment processes, frequent loss of receipts or proof of payment, difficulty in recapitulating or reporting transactions both daily and monthly, and frequent errors in the calculation process. From the problems experienced by Mie Happy Restaurant, the author is interested in developing a web-based cashier application that can help in all matters related to transaction management at Mie Happy Restaurant. The research conducted aims to build or develop a cashier application for Happy Noodle Restaurant that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction management. This cashier application was built or developed using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) with Visual Studio Code editor and MySQL Database Management System (DBMS). The results of testing with black box testing show that the cashier application developed in functionality has run as expected. This web-based cashier application provides convenience for admins and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of operational activities.

This research is entitled "Analysis of language errors in persuasive speech texts for class 9J students at SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya". The aim of this research is to find out language errors in persuasive texts. The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used in the research are words in persuasive texts that experience errors in aspects of phonology, morphology and spelling. The technique used in this research is the listening and note-taking technique. This listening technique is used to obtain data by reading and listening to the use of language in the form of speech texts written by students, then the note-taking technique, namely writing down errors in the speech texts written by students. The results of the research show that the types of language errors that are most often found are errors in word usage, word selection and sentence construction that do not comply with correct Indonesian language rules. Factors causing this error include students' lack of understanding of language rules, as well as the influence of informal, everyday language habits. It's hoped that this research can provide insight into teaching Indonesian in schools, especially in improving the quality of students' written persuasive texts..
