The digital transformation of education in Indonesia presents both strategic opportunities and significant ethical challenges. On the one hand, technological innovation expands access, effectiveness, and quality of learning; on the other hand, it risks creating social disparities, the commercialization of education, and the reduction of human values. In this context, Pancasila is considered relevant as an ethical paradigm that guides the direction of digital transformation to remain grounded in humanity, social justice, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze Pancasila as an ethical framework for directing the development of educational technology in Indonesia. The method employed is a literature review with a qualitative-descriptive approach, drawing on philosophical sources, educational policy documents, and practices of digital technology implementation at various educational levels. The analysis reveals that the values of Pancasila, particularly the second and fifth principles, can serve as normative foundations for shaping policies, design, and practices of educational technology that are humanistic, inclusive, and equitable. The study concludes that integrating the Pancasila paradigm is not only ideologically essential but also strategically significant in ensuring that the digital transformation of education in Indonesia aligns with national objectives and human dignity.

The rapid expansion of Indonesia’s digital economy and the enactment of the Personal Data Protection Law (Law 27/2022) have exposed significant shortcomings in the resolution of data-related disputes under existing judicial and administrative frameworks. Public adjudication of sensitive data conflicts can erode trust, impose reputational damage, and delay reparative outcomes, while courts often lack specialized expertise in technology and privacy. Drawing upon international precedents including the European Data Protection Board’s Article 65 GDPR mechanism, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework arbitration annex, and the European Patent Office’s data-protection arbitration rules this study examines the urgency and feasibility of establishing a dedicated Data Dispute Arbitration Forum in Indonesia. Through comparative analysis, it identifies core design elements such as expert-appointed tribunals, streamlined online procedures, confidentiality safeguards, clear enforcement under the New York Con-vention, and mechanisms for restorative remedies beyond fines. Anchored in Pancasila’s social-justice ethos and Indonesia’s ADR law (Law 30/1999) and ITE Law, the proposed institutional architecture integrates online dispute resolution (ODR) protocols, data-minimization and cybersecurity guidelines, and publicly anonymized award publication to foster legal certainty and raise awareness of data-protection obligations. A stakeholder impact assessment demonstrates that such a forum would benefit individual data subjects through low-cost, expeditious relief; controllers and processors through predictability and trade-secret protection; regulators through expert findings; and foreign investors through alignment with global data-governance standards. By aligning domestic legal values with international best practices, the specialized forum promises to bolster enforcement, restore public trust, and strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global digital marketplace.

The Geopolitics 5.0 era has introduced a new paradigm in which artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, and global power dynamics are reshaping traditional diplomatic practices. As a nation rooted in the Pancasila ideology, Indonesia faces complex challenges in upholding its principles of humanity, unity, and social justice amid increasingly competitive geopolitical shifts. This research aims to analyze the relevance of Pancasila as a strategic framework for Indonesia’s diplomatic efforts in responding to the challenges of Geopolitics 5.0, while formulating policy recommendations aligned with national values. The study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing content related to Indonesia’s foreign policy, government documents, and recent diplomatic case studies. Supporting data is drawn from academic literature, archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and reports from global think tanks. The findings demonstrate that Pancasila serves as a critical foundation for shaping Indonesia’s adaptive diplomacy, particularly through: (1) soft power strategies rooted in cultural and creative economic assets, (2) digital diplomacy that prioritizes cyber sovereignty and freedom, and (3) leadership in multilateral forums. Pancasila’s values not only remain relevant but also provide Indonesia with a strategic advantage in building principle-driven diplomacy in the Geopolitics 5.0 era. Indonesia's digital economy is rapidly growing with the emergence of e-commerce, fintech, and blockchain technology that facilitate cross-border transactions. However, challenges such as technological access inequality, personal data exploitation, and multinational company dominance remain major concerns. Therefore, implementing Pancasila values in digital economy governance is crucial to ensuring social justice, consumer protection, and national competitiveness. Pancasila principles, such as moral-based business ethics, consumer rights protection, digital sovereignty, and participatory regulation, must be integrated into digital economic policies. Additionally, electronic commerce regulations based on international law should align with national interests to balance digital economic growth and constitutional rights protection. Thus, Pancasila-based digital economic policies can promote inclusivity, strengthen SMEs' competitiveness, and ensure the broader welfare of society.

Indonesia is widely recognized as a diverse country with differences in ethnicity, religion, culture, and language. This diversity, while being a national strength, can also create social tension if not properly managed. In this context, Pancasila plays an essential role as a guiding principle in maintaining social harmony. This study aims to explore how Pancasila contributes to creating harmony within Indonesia’s diverse society. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of recent academic sources. The findings indicate that the values of tolerance, unity, and social justice embedded in Pancasila are still relevant and influential in shaping harmonious social interactions. However, in reality, the implementation of these values has not been fully optimal, especially due to the influence of globalization and the rapid development of digital technology. This study suggests that strengthening Pancasila-based education and increasing public awareness are necessary to maintain social balance. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed so that the values of Pancasila remain alive and practiced in everyday life.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era has raised a variety of ethical issues that urgently need to be addressed wisely. In Indonesia, Pancasila as the foundation of the state has significant potential to become an ethical foundation in the development of responsible and humanity-oriented AI. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, examining various academic sources, such as relevant journals, books, and scientific articles. The analysis was conducted through content analysis techniques and reinforced with source triangulation to ensure the validity of the data. The results showed that the values of each precept in Pancasila are highly relevant to the ethical principles of AI, such as moral and spiritual responsibility reflected in the first precept, respect for human rights in the second precept, and the importance of democratization of technology and equitable distribution of benefits stated in the fourth and fifth precepts. Therefore, the integration of Pancasila values in every stage of AI development and application is crucial. This is so that the resulting technology is not only technically superior, but also reflects justice, inclusiveness, and commitment to human values. Collaboration between government, academia, industry, and society is the key to making Indonesia a pioneer in ethical and humanist AI development.
