The implementation of Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) in the Independent Curriculum is one of the important problems faced by educational institutions, including madrasas, in efforts to improve the quality of education. KKM is the minimum standard score that must be achieved by students to be declared complete in a subject. In the context of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes learning based on the potential and uniqueness of students, the implementation of KKM faces several challenges, such as difficulties in more flexible assessments, differences in student ability levels, and limited resources available in madrasas. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by madrasas in implementing KKM and find solutions that can be applied to overcome these problems. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges include a lack of understanding of the implementation of KKM in line with the principles of the Independent Curriculum, as well as difficulties in compiling fair and appropriate assessments. Several proposed solutions include training for educators, developing a more inclusive assessment system, and increasing cooperation between madrasas and other educational institutions. With the implementation of these solutions, it is hoped that KKM can be implemented more effectively, so that it can support the success of the Independent Curriculum in madrasas.

The application of the philosophy of progressive education within the Merdeka Curriculum aims to create a more student-centered education system that encourages active and contextual learning. Progressivism emphasizes the importance of hands-on experiences and the development of critical thinking skills through real projects and discussions. In the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, this approach allows students to explore their interests and talents more independently, with teachers acting as facilitators guiding the learning process. Through project-based learning, collaboration, and authentic assessment, the Merdeka Curriculum provides students with the opportunity to explore their interests and talents. This research identifies various strategies that educators can adopt to integrate the principles of progressivism, such as using active learning methods and allowing freedom in choosing learning materials. The implementation of the progressive philosophy presents several challenges, including teachers' readiness to adopt new roles, the need to adjust the curriculum to local contexts, and the availability of adequate resources. However, this application also offers significant opportunities to enhance the quality of education by producing graduates who are more adaptive, creative, and capable of solving complex problems. This study highlights how the application of progressive philosophy in the Merdeka Curriculum can increase student motivation, develop 21st-century skills, and prepare them for future challenges. The curriculum greatly influences the education system in Indonesia. This is evident from the fact that the education system in Indonesia has experienced various changes since the past, but there is still room for improvement in facing global challenges. Currently, the education system in Indonesia implements education based on the "Freedom of Learning" curriculum introduced by the Minister of Education Nadiem Makarim which shows a commitment to educational reform. In the independent curriculum, there is Pancasila education learning as one of the school's missions. Using Pancasila learning refers to the character education that each individual has, differences in character can cause disputes, divisions, and trigger deviant behavior. Implementation of Citizenship Education learning uses differentiated learning based on Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy. This implementation refers to learning outcomes in the independent curriculum, namely about local wisdom and character, where this becomes basic learning so that students when they are in society are aware of how to behave and position themselves, especially in loving their homeland. Pancasila values and the application of Citizenship Education learning are contained in the Pancasila principles which include the values of mutual cooperation, honesty, responsibility among friends, the surrounding environment and responsibility for what one does. The values that can be contained in Pancasila contain many religious values (first principle), human values (second principle), unity values (third principle), wisdom values (fourth principle), and finally social values (fifth principle). Pancasila values are the way of life for the Indonesian people to build the character values of Indonesian society.
