Vibrio sp. is one of the main pathogenic bacteria causing various diseases in whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) cultivation, such as vibriosis, which can reduce the survival rate and productivity of ponds. Environmentally friendly Vibrio control efforts can be achieved through the use of probiotics. One widely used probiotic is Lactobacillus sp., which is known to suppress the growth of pathogenic bacteria through competition for space and nutrients, production of antimicrobial compounds (bacteriocins and organic acids), and increased shrimp non-specific immunity. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of administering different doses of Lactobacillus sp. in suppressing Vibrio sp. populations in whiteleg shrimp cultivation media. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications: control (A), 6 ppm lactobacillus sp (B), 12 ppm (C), and 18 ppm (D). The parameter observed was the Total Vibrio Count (TVC) in the culture water after 24 hours of lactobacillus administration.

The normal flora of chickens refers to the microbial communities that naturally inhabit the gastrointestinal tract and body surfaces of chickens, playing a crucial role in health, digestion, and immunity. This community consists of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Bacillus, which assist in feed fermentation, vitamin synthesis, and inhibition of pathogenic growth. Additionally, the normal flora may include potential pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., and Campylobacter, which can cause diseases if microbial balance is disrupted. The diversity and balance of the microbiota are influenced by various abiotic factors, including feed quality, access to clean water, ambient temperature, humidity, and environmental hygiene. Biotic factors, such as microbial interactions, rearing systems, and contact with other animals, also play a significant role in determining microbial composition. Several studies have shown that the use of feed additives, such as probiotics and phytogenics, can enhance populations of beneficial bacteria while suppressing pathogenic bacteria. Extensive rearing systems, which provide chickens with more space and exposure to natural environments, tend to increase microbiota diversity compared to semi-intensive systems with more restricted conditions. Understanding these factors is essential for developing effective health management strategies and optimizing safe and sustainable poultry production.

This community service program aims to develop nutraceutical-based health products from temu mangga (Curcuma mangga Val.van Zip) and probiotics, called "TEMAPRO". Research and socialization were conducted in Pulau Semambu Village, South Sumatra, targeting village mothers who have limited knowledge about the benefits of herbs and probiotics. Temu mangga, which is traditionally consumed as a salad and herbal medicine, contains various active compounds that have the potential as antioxidants and anti-cancer. Combined with the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus, this product is expected to support digestive health and increase body immunity. Implementation methods include education, training in making temu mangga extract, mixing with probiotics, and product packaging techniques. The results of the activities showed an increase in community understanding and skills in processing local materials into health products with economic value. It is hoped that "TEMAPRO" will not only improve the quality of public health, but also open up business opportunities in the village through local nutraceutical products.

Early breastfeeding (ASI) in the first days of birth provides many benefits where there is colostrum which is proven to be very rich in antibodies which can increase the baby's immunity. Prelacteal food is given to babies in the first days after birth on the grounds that breast milk (ASI) has not been released so that the first days after birth are a vulnerable period for babies to receive prelacteal food/drinks. Prelacteal foods are dangerous because they can replace colostrum as the baby's earliest food. The impact of prelacteal feeding is that babies may get diarrhea, septicemia (bacterial infection in the blood), and meningitis, babies are more likely to suffer from intolerance to the protein in the formula, and develop allergies such as eczema. Method: this activity begins with the preparation of proposals and administration activities in May 2023. The implementation of this activity is educating mothers about prelacteal feeding to babies aged 0-6 months. Results: 30 participants in this activity were mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months in the village of Bangun Rejo. In its implementation, it was explained about the types of prelacteal feeding, the impact of prelacteal feeding, factors that can influence mothers to give prelacteal feeding. Conclusion: community service activities based on health education are carried out. This community service activity was carried out for 3 months starting in May-July 2023.
