Nahwu (Arabic grammar) is a fundamental discipline in learning the Arabic language, helping to prevent errors in speech and serving as a primary key to clearly understanding Islamic legal texts. However, in practice, the teaching of Nahwu often faces complex challenges, particularly the lack of active participation among female students and their uneven mastery of the subject. Therefore, this study aims to explore the problems in teaching Nahwu at Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School in Cikalong and to identify the factors causing these issues. This study aims to: (1) reveal the problems faced by second-grade female students of KMI in learning Nahwu at Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School in Cikalong, and (2) identify the contributing factors influencing the emergence of these problems. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The researcher used three data collection techniques: classroom observation, in-depth interviews with the Nahwu teacher, and questionnaires distributed to the students. For data analysis, the researcher applied the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure data validity, data triangulation techniques were used. The results of the study indicate that the problems are divided into two main aspects: (1) learning-related problems, including the gap between memorization of grammatical rules and their application (i‘rab), high levels of academic anxiety, and decreased classroom concentration; and (2) contributing factors, including methodological factors, linguistic-psychological factors, and classroom management factors. The researcher suggests that teachers adopt more interactive teaching methods and media, as well as innovative visual tools to reduce the abstract nature of Nahwu materials and enhance students’ functional understanding. Additionally, activating “Halaqah Nahwiyyah” (grammar study circles) in dormitories is recommended to overcome psychological barriers and improve students’ linguistic confidence.

This research is driven by the urgency of maintaining the quality of the Indonesian language in the realm of online journalism, particularly on major media platforms such as CNN Indonesia. Online media plays a central role as the primary source of information, but the speed of publication often encounters linguistic errors that have the potential to damage credibility and lead to misinterpretation among readers. The focus of the study on syntactic errors is crucial because errors in sentence structure, diction, and conjunctions directly affect the meaning and effectiveness of communication. This study aims to analyze and describe the forms of syntactic errors (including sentence pattern errors, non-standard diction, and conjunction redundancy) and offer recommendations for improvement based on standard Indonesian language rules. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a syntactic approach. Data in the form of linguistic units at the phrase, clause, and sentence levels from all CNN Indonesia news texts for the period of August 2025, collected using the Listen and Note Technique. The findings are anticipated to show a dominance of sentence ineffectiveness, incorrect use of conjunctions, and temporally illogical diction errors. This research is expected to contribute as a practical guide for editors and news writers to improve the quality of editing, while also supporting literacy efforts and the use of good and correct Indonesian in the digital public space.

Currently, the skills needed to advance a tourist area are influenced by the availability of human resources who can speak English and understand local culture well. Unfortunately, improving English proficiency remains a challenge. Additionally, another issue appears as the Alpha generation is exposed to a great deal of English-language social media content; however, this does not appear to be directly correlated with an improvement in their English proficiency. It appears that the English Club instructors at SMA Fons Vitae 1 Jakarta were also aware of these two problems. Therefore, on September 11, 2025, an ABDIMAS activity entitled "Giving and Asking for Direction" training was held with the production of a short film. This activity was attended by 15 participants, 10 boys and 5 girls, a combination of students from grades 10 and 11. The results of the training showed that the pre-production process of making a short film provided a space for participants to recognize and explore Indonesian cultural heritage. Furthermore, the production process of making a short film made participants not afraid of speaking English. In the post-production process, participants can also edit parts of the video that are less than satisfactory because they can re-record if there are errors in pronunciation and grammar.

The results showed that coaching activities through language quizzes increased students' activity, motivation, and interest in learning Indonesian. Through these activities, the learning process became more enjoyable and interactive, encouraging students to participate actively and express their opinions. Students showed a significant improvement in the correct use of standard words, spelling, and punctuation in both written and spoken contexts. However, there were still obstacles in the form of difficulties in distinguishing between standard and non-standard words and errors in the use of prepositions due to the influence of everyday language habits. Language plays a crucial role in the academic world as a tool for communicating ideas and information systematically. In writing academic texts such as research proposals, the use of proper grammar in accordance with academic conventions is a fundamental aspect that must be considered. Good grammar enhances the readability of a study and clarifies the author’s intentions and objectives. Conversely, grammatical errors may lead to ambiguity, reduce the credibility of the research, and hinder readers’ understanding. This study aims to analyze the grammatical structure of a research proposal titled "Innovative Mirror Neuron Approach Based on Gender for Character Development and Scientific Communication to Support the SDGs in the Era of Society 5.0", focusing on the introductory chapter. Using a qualitative approach with textual analysis, the study examines morphological, syntactic, and discourse-level aspects of the proposal. The findings reveal that while the text generally meets academic writing standards, there are several areas that require improvement, particularly in sentence structure, conjunction usage, clarity of meaning, punctuation, and terminological consistency. This research highlights the importance of grammar mastery in academic writing and offers recommendations to enhance the linguistic quality of research proposals among students.
