The application of blockchain technology in waqf and zakat management offers an innovative solution to enhance transparency and accountability in religious fund management. In the context of Islamic economics, zakat and waqf play a crucial role in wealth redistribution and social welfare. However, challenges such as lack of transparency, inefficient reporting systems, and potential fund mismanagement remain significant obstacles. This study aims to analyze how blockchain technology can be utilized to improve the effectiveness of zakat and waqf management. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the key benefits of blockchain, including decentralized transaction recording, smart contract utilization, and reduced data manipulation risks. The findings indicate that blockchain implementation can increase public trust, accelerate distribution processes, and enhance accountability in zakat and waqf institutions. Nevertheless, challenges such as technological infrastructure limitations and regulatory constraints must be addressed to ensure the optimal adoption of blockchain within the Islamic financial system.

Indonesia is a diverse nation with a wide range of religions, ethnicities, cultures, languages, and traditions spread across its vast territory from Sabang to Merauke. This diversity, on the one hand, serves as a strength of the nation, yet on the other hand, it also carries the potential for conflict if not managed properly through the practice of tolerance. Students, as agents of change, hold a strategic role in maintaining harmony and peace, both within campus environments and in society at large. This study aims to analyze the implementation of tolerance values among university students in order to achieve peace in a plural society. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing relevant literature on tolerance, students, and social peace. The findings reveal that students’ tolerance can be manifested in academic settings, organizational activities, social interactions, and religious practices. However, its implementation faces challenges such as intolerance, radicalism, identity politics, and the misuse of social media. Strengthening tolerance values can be carried out through multicultural education, character building, and student engagement in cross-cultural and interfaith organizations. Thus, students are not only academic individuals but also moral, social, and intellectual role models who can serve as key drivers in fostering peace and harmony within Indonesia’s diverse society.

This study examines the application of the hermeneutical approach in Islamic studies from the perspective of contextual Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The problem underlying this research is the dominance of textual and normative learning patterns in Islamic education that are often disconnected from contemporary social and cultural realities. The study aims to describe the hermeneutic concepts of Fazlur Rahman’s “double movement” and Hans-Georg Gadamer’s “fusion of horizons” and to analyze their relevance in developing contextual IRE. This research employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing recent scientific literature (2021–2025) from national and international journals. The findings reveal that hermeneutics provides a methodological and philosophical foundation for transforming IRE from rote-based learning into reflective, dialogical, and contextual learning. This study concludes that hermeneutics can be used as a conceptual and practical framework to strengthen the relevance of Islamic education in addressing modern challenges. However, the study’s limitation lies in its theoretical nature, so further empirical research is recommended to test the effectiveness of hermeneutic-based pedagogical models in classroom settings.

The topic of marrying women who conceive before marriage continues to spark debate in Islamic law, with diverse viewpoints across Muslim communities. Lack of awareness about Islamic rules and governmental policies frequently results in unions that defy both sharia teachings and applicable laws. This piece explores Islamic fiqh opinions on the marriage of unmarried pregnant women and evaluates how this is applied in marriage services at the Religious Affairs Office in Medan Timur District. The study adopts a qualitative framework using juridical-normative and empirical methods. Data was obtained by reviewing fiqh literature, legal regulations, and conducting interviews with KUA officials. Da'wah is an activity that aims to invite people to the path of truth and guidance from Allah SWT, carried out orally or in writing with the spirit of calling and guiding the people. As an integral part of Islamic teachings, this da'wah requires not only sincerity but also good management so that its implementation is effective, structured, and relevant to the development of the times. In this case, management becomes an important element that includes planning, implementing, and evaluating religious programs. The values contained in this management can be reflected in the Qur'an, such as strategy, trustworthy leadership, and a wise approach, emphasizing the importance of integration between da'wah and management. Management is interpreted as an-nizam or at-tanzim, which is a regulatory system that puts everything in its place. The relationship between management and da'wah is synergistic, where da'wah requires a management program and communication media to reach the community effectively and innovatively. A da'i, in this context, also has a very imaudience’s important role, namely as a manager who must understand the audience's characteristics and design the right da'wah strategy. Therefore, the integration of management in da'wah activities is one of the essential needs in building a systematic and competitive da'wah movement amidst modern social dynamics.
