This study explores the impact of tourism on environmental health in the coastal tourist area of Ancol Beach, Jakarta. As a major tourist destination in North Jakarta, Ancol Beach has experienced significant growth in visitor numbers annually. While tourism in this area provides positive contributions such as boosting the local economy and creating employment opportunities, it also poses negative environmental impacts, particularly in terms of marine pollution and increased waste accumulation during peak tourist seasons. Using a qualitative approach, this research combines in- depth interviews and field observations to analyze these issues. The results indicate that, despite adequate waste management efforts, the surge in visitors creates challenges in maintaining environmental cleanliness and marine ecosystem health. Additionally, tourists' awareness of environmental responsibility tends to decline during high-traffic periods. This study recommends enhancing waste management facilities and intensifying environmental education to support sustainable tourism management at Ancol Beach.

Thailand, a developing country in Southeast Asia, is striving to enhance its value and position on the world stage through the tourism industry. A country with a majority Buddhist population, Thailand is developing Halal Tourism as a new strategy to attract Muslim travelers. The development of halal tourism in Thailand is driven not only by economic motives but also non-economic considerations. Economically, the Thai government aims to open new destinations and expand the market to meet Muslim tourists' needs. A unique aspect is that Thailand has a minority Muslim population with a history of tension, especially in the Southern region. The government involves Southern Thai communities in halal tourism development, demonstrating efforts to create an inclusive society. This strategy is expected to ease political tensions that have existed due to economic disparities. By involving minority groups in tourism development, the Thai government hopes to achieve long-term peace and improve the country's positive image. The approach represents a strategic attempt to transform potential conflict zones into economic opportunities, using tourism as a tool for social integration and economic development.

Lake Weekuri, located in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, has become an increasingly popular tourist destination in recent years. The natural beauty and cultural richness of Lake Weekuri attracts both domestic and foreign tourists. This study analyzes the impact of international tourist arrivals and their spending on the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels in Indonesia from 2009 to 2023. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression, the study examines the relationship between two independent variables nternational tourist arrivals and average tourist spending and the dependent variable, which is the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. Data for this research were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Ministry of Tourism, and Bank Indonesia. The analysis results show that the number of international tourist arrivals does not significantly affect the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. However, average tourist spending has a significant negative effect, indicating that tourists with higher spending tend to choose higher-star hotels. The simultaneous F test reveals that both variables jointly have a significant effect on hotel occupancy rates. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 45.52% indicates that both independent variables can explain the variation in the occupancy rate of star-rated hotels. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government and tourism industry stakeholders focus on promoting destinations that attract high-spending tourists and improving the quality of star-rated hotel accommodations to meet the preferences of international tourists.

The aim of this research is to describe the development of the education system in Egypt. One very attractive educational option for Indonesian students in an Islamic country is education in Egypt. This can be seen from data from the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt, which records that around 8,000 Indonesian students are currently studying there. There are several reasons that cause this. Among them are (1) the quality education system at Al-Azhar, (2) the large number of talaqqi councils, (3) Egypt as the center of the Muslim community in the Middle East, (4) the land of the prophets, (5) affordable living costs, and (6) the many Islamic cultural sites that are often visited by foreign tourists. Another factor that makes education superior in Egypt is the cost of education which is covered by the government, which means education is free. Apart from that, the teaching staff at Al-Azhar are professionals, and the education system implemented is very good.

The promotion and marketing efforts by the Tourism Office of Karimun Regency aim to introduce and effectively promote local tourist destinations to both domestic and international visitors. According to a previous study by Andriani (2020), the development of tourist sites in Karimun Regency has not yet been fully realized by the local government. This research aims to reexamine and optimize Karimun's tourism potential through programs implemented by the Tourism Office, supporting local economic changes. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews with informants, field notes, and relevant official documents. It focuses on examining the promotion strategies carried out by the Tourism Office to increase tourist visits. Based on Kooten's theory, there are four strategic indicators: organizational strategy, program organization, resource support strategy, and institutional strategy. The research results show that all strategic indicators have been implemented well in accordance with funding from the center, providing a positive impact on the development of tourist destinations and increasing the number of tourists who come to visit tourist attractions in Karimun district. However, if funding is not in accordance with the annual plan, the program that has been prepared by the marketing and promotion division will have an impact, hampering efforts to increase tourist visits from both inside and outside Karimun Regency.
