The management of material and labor costs at Gregors Barbershop is still manual and not formally structured, resulting in wastage of consumable materials, suboptimal labor utilization, and difficulties in determining service prices that align with the expected profit margins. Material costs, such as hair gel, tissues, disposable razors, and alcohol/disinfectants, are not recorded systematically, leading to frequent mismatches between stock and actual needs, while labor costs are calculated improvisationally without considering productivity and service targets. This activity aims to improve the ability of owners and employees to plan, control, and evaluate operational costs systematically, ensuring efficiency, resource optimization, and business profitability. The method uses an applied, hands-on approach, including the identification of partner needs, preparation of relevant training modules, direct operational mentoring, and evaluation with follow-up. The object of the activity is Gregors Barbershop in Batu Aji District, Batam City, which offers services such as modern men’s haircuts, classic shaves, shaving, hair treatments, and the sale of grooming products like pomade and hair oil. The results show increased efficiency in the use of consumable materials, more productive labor management, more systematic cost planning, and the ability to set service prices in line with costs and profit margins. It is recommended to implement a digital recording system and productivity-based incentives to ensure more accurate cost control, more efficient operations, and sustainable business profitability.

The rapid growth of information technology has encouraged small and medium-sized food businesses to adopt digital systems in order to improve service quality and operational efficiency. Ayam Goreng Pakdhe, a local culinary business, still relies on manual ordering processes that often lead to order inaccuracies, slow service, and limited access to sales data. This study aims to design and develop a web-based ordering system for Ayam Goreng Pakdhe using the Spiral software development method, which emphasizes iterative development, risk analysis, and continuous user feedback. The research method consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation carried out in repeated cycles according to the Spiral model. Data were collected through observation, interviews with business owners and employees, and analysis of existing business processes. The results show that the proposed web-based system is able to streamline the ordering process, reduce human errors, and provide real-time information on orders and sales reports. Furthermore, the iterative nature of the Spiral method allows the system to be adjusted according to user needs and potential risks identified during development. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance operational efficiency, support better decision-making, and increase customer satisfaction, thereby contributing to the digital transformation of small-scale culinary enterprises.

This study analyzes the effectiveness of installed supervision (Waskat) by the Sub-district Head on the performance of employees at the Bukit Kapur District Office, Dumai City, in the midst of the demands of public service accountability. The background involves local bureaucratic challenges such as resource constraints and employee resistance. Using a qualitative approach with field observation for two weeks (15-29 December 2025), including in-depth interviews with 5 employees and 2 community informants, plus data triangulation from attendance records and performance reports, it was analyzed thematically. The results revealed attendance increased to 95%, absenteeism decreased by 2%, and work output increased from 50 to 65 permit documents each week. Quotes such as "Direct supervision motivates me" (Employee A, 2025) affirm the preventive role of Waskat, despite obstacles such as over-tasking, in line with Fauzan (2024) on civil servant governance. The discussion highlighted Waskat as a tool for local bureaucratic reform. This conclusion affirms the effectiveness of Waskat in improving performance, recommending humanistic and digital adaptation. Policy implications for local governments, with suggestions for future studies using a larger sample.

Transformational leadership has a strong and positive impact on employee performance across various organizational sectors. This leadership style, which is based on four main dimensions—Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation, and Individualized Consideration plays a very important role in creating a shared vision, driving high internal motivation, and producing positive change. Research shows that this positive influence is often affected by factors such as commitment to the organization, job involvement, and organizational behavior. By encouraging employees to put aside personal interests to achieve collective goals, transformational leaders enhance effectiveness, productivity, and the quality of work outcomes. Bass's theory (1985) states that this leadership style drives performance beyond normal expectations. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the application of transformational leadership style is crucial for organizational management in efforts to improve the quality of human resources. Companies are advised to conduct leadership training that focuses on developing emotional intelligence and visionary communication skills for managers.

The development of digital technology has encouraged the government to modernize public services, including in the field of land affairs. Traditionally, land registration has been associated with long, complex procedures that are often prone to abuse of authority. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has begun implementing a digital-based land registration system. However, its implementation raises an important question: is this digital system truly effective in improving the quality of services at the Land Office, or does it instead create new obstacles? This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of land registration digitalization, particularly in terms of accessibility, efficiency, transparency, and the challenges encountered during its implementation. The research employs an empirical juridical method with qualitative analysis. The juridical approach is used to examine the legal foundations of land registration digitalization, including Law No. 5 of 1960 on Basic Agrarian Principles, Government Regulation No. 24 of 1997 on Land Registration, and the Ministerial Regulation of ATR/BPN No. 1 of 2021 on Electronic Certificates. The empirical approach involves direct observation of service processes at the Land Office and interviews with employees and citizens utilizing digital services. The findings reveal that digitalization of land registration has generally improved the quality of services at the Land Office. Administrative processes have become faster, land data are stored more securely, and service transparency has increased, as the public can monitor the status of their registration online.

This study compares the effectiveness of MAUT (Multi-Attribute Utility Theory), SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique), and WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) methods in a decision support system for determining the best employees at Sisilia Boutique. The quality of human resources is crucial in the retail business, but performance evaluation is often influenced by subjectivity. To address this, a multi-criteria-based decision support system is needed. MAUT translates preferences into a numerical scale, SMART calculates the average value of attributes based on weights, while WASPAS combines weighted summation (WSM) and weighted multiplication (WPM) for more balanced results. Employee performance data from Sisilia Boutique in June 2025, including attendance, store layout, customer service, and discipline, were used as the research object. The comparison results show consistency in the highest (K3) and lowest (K7) ratings across the three methods, with differences in the middle ratings. WASPAS offers a more balanced distribution of final scores, making it a comprehensive alternative for performance evaluation.

The attendance recording system at PLN ULP Tanjungbalai still relies on manual, paper-based methods, resulting in delays in data recap, reduced efficiency, and a high potential for recording errors. This condition affects the accuracy of employee attendance information, which is essential for administrative activities and managerial decision-making. Based on these issues, this practical work aims to design and develop a web-based e-attendance application as a solution to enhance efficiency, processing speed, and the accuracy of attendance recapitulation. The system was developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system, following several stages including requirement analysis, system design using UML, and implementation of a web-based user interface. The application provides essential features such as user login, daily attendance recording, employee data management, attendance notes (permission, sickness, etc.), and automatic attendance report generation. The system is designed for two types of users—Admin and Employees—each with specific access rights. The implementation results indicate that the e-attendance application significantly improves the efficiency of attendance administration at PLN ULP Tanjungbalai. Data collection and recapitulation become faster, more structured, and less prone to errors, while also enabling administrators to monitor employee attendance in real time. Therefore, this web-based e-attendance application serves as an effective solution to support operational activities and enhance the quality of employee attendance management.

An employment relationship is a relationship between a worker and an employer or entrepreneur involving work, wages, and orders. One outcome of this employment relationship is termination of employment. To create a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, the government has enacted laws concerning termination of employment, such as Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning Fixed-Term Employment Agreements, Outsourcing, Working and Rest Hours, and Termination of Employment. This research uses a normative legal method, namely examining the law as it exists or should exist, or the law in books. The research was conducted by analyzing applicable laws and regulations, using library materials or secondary data covering primary, secondary, and tertiary law. Termination of employment is the right of both parties, namely workers and employers. Both parties can terminate the employment relationship according to their respective situations or conditions. This issue often generates debate because each party has different perspectives and arguments regarding termination of employment. As a result, the amount of compensation workers receive in practice also varies. Comparing Law No. 13 of 2003, Law No. 11 of 2020, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning termination of employment, it is clear that the Employee Rights Act No. 13 of 2003 provides more compensation than the Job Creation Law. Therefore, in practice, many companies, including PT Kuoni Indonesia, seek ways to reduce their compensation obligations under the pretext of negotiating with employees.
