In Indonesia, maize has replaced rice as the staple food. However, many farmers fail to achieve optimal maize growth rates and yields because the maize planting techniques developed by them depend only on their knowledge and understanding of the relevant sciences relevant to maize planting. To determine the effect of applying different spacing and planting depths on the growth and yield of maize was the objective of this study. A factorial RAK model with two factors was used in this study. There were three levels of planting distance notation (J) in this RAK: 70 x 25 cm for Planting Distance 1, 70 x 40 cm for Planting Distance 2, and 75 x 50 cm for Planting Distance 3. There were also four levels of planting depth notation (K): 3 cm for Depth 1, 5 cm for Depth 2, 7 cm for Depth 3, and 8 cm for Depth 4. The results showed that it could really affect the growth and yield of corn at the correlation of spacing 75 x 50 cm and depth 5 cm. Farm women also contribute to this activity with their experience and skills because the higher the presence of farm women who contribute will make the results of corn farming higher.

Social and economic welfare reflects the quality of life in a region and is influenced by local social, economic, and environmental factors. East Java, as the second most populous province in Indonesia, faces challenges in improving the welfare of its residents, particularly due to varying regional characteristics such as employment, education, and population demographics. To understand the patterns of interrelationships among factors affecting welfare, this study conducted a klaster analysis to group regions based on similar characteristics. The klaster analysis employed both hierarchical (complete linkage) and non-hierarchical (K-means) approaches to determine the optimal number of klasters. The results revealed that the level of diversity across regions in East Java tends to be homogeneous in social and economic aspects, with average values exceeding standard deviations. Assumption tests for the klaster analysis confirmed that the data met the assumptions of multivariate normal distribution and dependency.Through hierarchical (complete linkage) and non-hierarchical (K-means) klaster analysis, two main klasters were formed, dividing districts/cities in East Java based on welfare characteristics. Using the complete linkage method, 27 regions were grouped into klaster 1, and 11 regions into klaster 2, while K-means grouped 26 regions into klaster 1 and 12 regions into klaster 2. Out of the six variables used, one variable was found to be insignificant in influencing the klastering results. Based on the mapping results, the grouping aligns with similar criteria, where urban areas predominantly fall into one klaster, and the other klaster is dominated by rural areas.

Bahasa Indonesia as an official communication tool had grammatical guidelines such as Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan (EYD) V, which was used to regulate the use of letters, punctuation, and word writing. One important aspect of this grammar was the correct use of capital letters. Unfortunately, there were still many errors in applying this rule, both in scientific and non-scientific writing. This study aimed to analyze the capitalization errors in the three winning letters of the Writing a Letter to the Minister of Education and Culture competition published on the Instagram account @kemdikbud.ri. This research used a qualitative method to examine the errors in capitalization in more depth. The results showed that most errors occurred in using capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper names, and there were also inappropriate capital letters in the middle of sentences. Further education on capitalization was still needed, especially to improve good and correct writing skills according to Indonesian language guidelines.

Escherichia coli is a bacterium that typically resides as a normal flora in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals. However, certain strains of E. coli can cause infections in humans. Therefore, antibiotics are needed to inhibit the growth of these infection-causing bacteria. The increasing cases of antibiotic resistance in E. coli necessitate alternative therapies, including the use of natural substances. In West Kalimantan, one potential source is the Pontianak Orange (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa). This plant contains secondary metabolites that can be used for medicinal purposes, such as the juice extract. The compounds within these secondary metabolites possess antimicrobial properties that could be used as antibacterials. To determine the antibacterial potential of Pontianak Orange juice (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) against Escherichia coli. This study utilized an experimental design featuring a post-test only group design. Phytochemical analysis indicated that Pontianak Orange juice (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) contains phenolics (+), alkaloids (+), and terpenoids (++). Antibacterial activity testing at all concentrations (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) showed no inhibition zones. The juice of Pontianak Orange (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) did not show antibacterial effects against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria.
