This study aims to analyze how socially constructed beauty standards shaped by media, popular culture, and the surrounding environment affect the social cognition of university students in evaluating peers who deviate from mainstream beauty norms. Within the campus environment, students often bring visual biases and prejudices toward others based solely on physical appearance, such as skin tone, body shape, and fashion style. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four students from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) with diverse backgrounds. The results show that most students initially form judgments based on social schemas influenced by social media, past experiences, and peer environments. However, some participants demonstrated a shift in perspective after engaging in personal reflection, studying social psychology, and experiencing more diverse social interactions. They began to exhibit more empathetic attitudes and fairer judgments. This study highlights the importance of higher education in fostering critical awareness and promoting inclusive values and social sensitivity within academic environments.

Integrated assessment is a multidisciplinary approach used in the judicial system to evaluate the psychological, social and medical conditions of legal subjects, particularly in cases involving children, victims of violence, persons with mental disabilities or defendants with psychological disorders. This study aims to examine the evidentiary strength of integrated assessment from juridical and psychological perspectives using a normative juridical approach. The findings reveal that although integrated assessments are recognized in legal practice, their status as admissible evidence is not yet explicitly regulated in criminal procedural law. From a psychological perspective, such assessments possess high scientific value and can provide an objective overview of the subject’s condition. However, limited understanding among legal practitioners regarding the interpretation of assessment results remains a major challenge. Therefore, regulatory harmonization and cross-sectoral capacity building are needed to optimize the function of integrated assessments in court proceedings.

Entrepreneurs in the digital era face constant challenges that require adaptation and innovation. Although economic and managerial factors are often the focus, the role of psychological dimensions such as resilience and creativity in entrepreneurial success has not been widely reviewed in depth. This study aims to examine relevant theories and findings on psychological resilience and creativity in the context of entrepreneurship, and to build a conceptual framework to support entrepreneurial innovation. Using a qualitative literature study method, this study systematically searches, analyzes, and synthesizes scientific literature from various databases. The results of the synthesis indicate that psychological resilience is crucial for entrepreneurs to recover from failure and adapt to change. Characteristics such as optimism and emotional regulation are the pillars of mental resilience. Meanwhile, creativity is an innovation engine that facilitates the identification of new opportunities and the development of unique solutions. A synergistic relationship between resilience and creativity is also found: resilience provides a psychological buffer for taking creative risks, and the creative process can strengthen self-resilience. The theoretical implication is the need for a more holistic entrepreneurship model. In practice, this study recommends educational institutions, especially the Faculty of Psychology, to integrate the development of resilience and creativity into the entrepreneurship curriculum.

Employing a qualitative approach based on literature analysis, the research delves into Daradjat’s thoughts on parenting grounded in spiritual values. Her view emphasizes that parenting extends beyond the biological aspect of childbirth; it involves nurturing the child’s moral and religious character from an early age, even before birth. The integration of these principles is believed to create a balanced developmental path aligned with Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the tendency of moving toward people in the main character of the novel Pukul Setengah Lima by Rintik Sedu using Karen Horney’s psychoanalytic theory. The main character exhibits behaviors that reflect a neurotic need for affection, approval, and protection through submissiveness, self-sacrifice, and emotional dependence on others. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, using content analysis of excerpts from the novel. The findings reveal that the tendency to move toward others serves as a psychological response to social anxiety rooted in unresolved inner conflicts and emotional insecurity from the past. This pattern of unbalanced interpersonal relationships acts as a defense mechanism to gain a sense of safety in social life. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of psychological dynamics in contemporary Indonesian popular literature and enriches the field of literary psychology.

The main problem in this study lies in the lack of a deep and comprehensive understanding of child development from the perspective of Islamic psychology, especially in the context of education. In fact, understanding the stages of child development is very important to design appropriate educational approaches holistically. This study aims to explain the definition of child development psychology, identify psychological concepts in Islamic teachings that are relevant to child growth, and analyze how the principles of Islamic psychology can be applied in child education. The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach, which examines various literatures from modern psychology and classical Islamic sources. The results show that Islam provides a strong conceptual foundation in understanding child development, which includes a balance between intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and moral aspects. Educational psychology in Islam also emphasizes the importance of the active role of parents, teachers, and the surrounding environment in shaping children's character and personality. Thus, the integration between modern psychological theories and Islamic values can be a strategic foothold in developing a child education system that is not only academic, but also oriented towards the formation of noble morals and character.

This research explores how figurative language shapes the depth of emotion and psychology in the poem Mirror by Sylvia Plath. Through a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research aims to identify the types of figures of speech used and explain how these elements convey the lyricist's inner conflicts related to identity, aging, and self-perception. The analysis shows that Plath consciously uses personification, metaphor, simile, and symbolism to build a reflective and emotionally charged atmosphere. The mirror in this poem is not just an inanimate object, but is present as a conscious observer who speaks, judges, and becomes a silent witness to the aging process and identity crisis of the female character. Through metaphorical and symbolic imagery, the mirror transforms into an inner lake-space that reflects the search for self. The poem closes with an evocative simile, describing the deep fear of realizing one's fading youth. This study shows that Plath's use of similes is not only to embellish the poem, but as an important channel to express fears and emotional vulnerabilities that are often difficult to verbalize. The findings are expected to enrich literary discussions on how poetic language can reveal the complexity of human experience with clarity and intensity.

Murder has a major impact on the victim and his family in terms of psychology, social, and economics. Therefore, it is only right that the victim and his family are given protection and equal attention as given to the perpetrator in the judicial process. However, in practice, the criminal justice system is still focused on the perpetrator and the criminalization process while the rights and attention of the victim and his family tend to be sidelined. This study aims to analyze the psychosocial impact on the victim and his family and the extent to which the guarantee and implementation of the protection of the victim's rights related to the case in Decision Number 448/Pid.B/2023/PN Serang. The method used in this study is empirical yuridical based on data obtained directly through interviews. The results of this study indicate that the victim's family from the case in Decision Number 448/Pid.B/2023/PN Serang experienced long-term psychological trauma, social stigma against the victim's partner because of the case's connection to infidelity, and economic difficulties due to the loss of the main source of income. In addition, there is also fear and insecurity about the occurrence of similar crimes in society. During the judicial process, the position of the victim and his/her family is merely an instrument needed to ensnare the perpetrator while their rights such as financial compensation, mental rehabilitation, and legal protection tend to be ignored. A more significant role for the victim as a subject entitled to recovery and legal protection will reflect a just and humane criminal justice system.

This article analyzes the representation of inner conflict and the search for self-identity in the character Haia in the novel Laut Tengah by Berliana Kimberly, using Sigmund Freud's literary psychology approach. This approach highlights the dynamics of the interaction between the id, ego, and superego in shaping Haia's personality and behavior.
