The aim of this research is to find out and understand the role and duties of the parish pastoral council in pastoral work and church services in the Catholic Church. The method used in this article is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques using literature reviews, observation, documentation and interviews. The data obtained was analyzed using qualitative methods through data analysis techniques. Research steps include interviews with informants, informant profiles, theme definitions, reflections, implications, synthesis, perspectives or future possibilities. So that the church can grow and develop, with the hope that it can help people to be more active, especially in positions that require service and visits, so that their faith and hope can grow and develop towards eternal salvation, so that they can better understand the meaning contained therein. . in the teachings of the Catholic Church. The results of this research show that the parish pastoral council, especially in Ampa Petrus and Paulus Parish, has a very important role, and the parish pastoral council is very much needed in the parish, especially in pastoral care. from church. and assisting the parish priest in his duties and ministry serving the parishioners.

This article examines the theological basis and implementation of mission in the New Testament and its relevance to the church today. This research is motivated by the crisis of missionary identity in the church amid the challenges of globalization, secularization, ecological crisis, and relativism of truth. The main focus of this research is on the concept of missio Dei, which emphasizes that mission originates from the initiative of the Triune God, not solely from the church. The objective is to analyze the theological foundations of mission in the New Testament and how the church lives out its calling as a sent community. The method used is qualitative, employing a literature review approach to the Bible, theological literature, and academic journals. The main findings show that mission is the identity of the church, not just one of its programs. Mission in the New Testament is Trinitarian, holistic, and includes the proclamation of the Gospel, acts of love, social justice, and the formation of an inclusive community. The early church set an example through its living witness and cross-cultural evangelism. In the contemporary context, implementing mission requires contextual approaches such as digital ministry, social empowerment, discipleship, and interdenominational collaboration. The synthesis of key ideas emphasizes that mission cannot be separated from the existence of the church; without mission, the church loses its identity. In conclusion, the church today is challenged to return to the contextual, transformative, and Spirit-led mission of the New Testament to remain relevant in an ever-changing world.

This article discusses the call to be a professional catechist in pastoral work. The interest in this topic stems from the challenges experienced by catechists in carrying out the mission of the Church in the midst of today's world. The catechist is a teacher of faith for the faithful and has an educational background in pastoral theology and preaching. They are required to be more professional in the midst of a world that continues to evolve and change. To obtain a comprehensive concept of this discussion topic, the author uses library research where books and articles are used to develop it. Becoming a professional catechist in pastoral work must begin with character building. A catechist of character is characterized by a deep faith, a good knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic faith and the skills in communicating and using effective methods of approach. In the discussion it was found that a professional catechist is one who has faith in the mystery of Christ, understands it and uses skills in pastoral works. In addition, a professional catechist is also characterized by a person who has spirituality or a deep spiritual life.

Pastoral ministry is not the exclusive property of the clergy but the laity are actively involved. Because everyone who has been baptized has the dignity of imami, rajawi and prophethood. So all believers, both Imam and Layman, have the same vocation but in different roles and positions without one surpassing and dominating the other. This paper analyzes how the existence of cell groups greatly contributes and influences a person's spiritual growth, especially in terms of maturing congregation members to participate in ministry. In cell groups there is two-way communication, there is interaction in it, which is different from sermons which are only one-way. In a group, all members of the congregation have more opportunities to study the Bible than in worship on Sundays which only involve listening. Catechists play an important role in faith growth, especially in a world that is currently experiencing development. Catechists should have spirituality that animates their vocation especially in carrying out their duty to proclaim and serve. Catechist ministry needs to be effective so as to provide progress for the faith of the people in responding to their call. Recognizing the role of catechists, Pope Francis through the Antiquum Ministerium document emphasized the importance of establishing catechist ministries where catechists need to be given sufficient attention and guidance. However, catechists in Tanah Mas have not met these expectations, especially in their services due to the small number of catechists. To find out more, it will be examined how the catechist ministry of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Tanah Mas Parish in carrying out the call to evangelization?; To what extent does the spirit of the Antiquum Ministerium document animate the catechist ministry in evangelization in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Tanah Mas Parish?; Has the Antiquum Ministerium document answered the needs of catechist ministry in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Tanah Mas Parish? To discuss these issues, researchers use qualitative research methods with in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation. The results showed that although in a limited number of catechists, catechist services at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Tanah Mas Parish have been effective, the existence of this Antiquum Ministerium document is a form of support and appreciation for catechists to be involved in serving by having spirituality that is expected especially to answer the needs of catechists and formation for catechists today, especially in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Tanah Mas Parish.

The Church is an institution that represents God in the world who has duties and services to the people. These ministries are given by the church to the congregation as pastoral duties in the world. The author discusses effective church management in order to build stewardship to create empowered and impactful Christian youth. The author also classifies contributing elements, analyzes preventing elements, and discusses ways to get past barriers to effective strategies in the church management. This study aims to explore the teaching and concept of safety applied to the congregation at GPP Pohan Tonga. Research was conducted through interviews with pastors and congregation members to understand the teaching approach and understanding of salvation applied in the church context.  The research results show that teaching at GPP Pohan Tonga is based on in-depth and applicable Bible teaching. The church pastor emphasized the importance of a solid understanding of Biblical teachings and the application of Christian values in daily life. The concept of salvation is understood as a gift of God's grace received through faith and repentance, and realized in a life of obedience and serving others. The congregation at GPP Pohan Tonga is actively involved in a variety of church services and religious activities, demonstrating their commitment to growing in faith and expanding Christian influence within their community. Church pastors play a crucial role in guiding, serving, and caring for congregants on their faith journey. The teachings and concepts of salvation applied to the congregation at GPP Pohan Tonga reflect the church's commitment to strengthening the foundations of faith, expanding understanding of God's grace, and encouraging congregation members to live according to the teachings of Christ. This research provides valuable insight into teaching practices and spirituality in the church, and provides a foundation for better ministry development and spiritual growth in the future.

This research examines debates among the early congregation regarding Jewish religious morality and ceremonies and their implications in the context of contemporary church pastoring. Through a critical historical exegesis approach and literature study, this article explores the views of Paul and Peter regarding the application of Torah law to Gentile Christians. This research highlights that a pastor must be an example for the congregation, not rule arbitrarily, and remain focused on God's call in their ministry. Analysis of the social, economic, and cultural context of the time this letter was written also provides insight into the challenges the early congregation faced. The relevance of this research lies in the application of pastoral principles in today's church ministry, which demands humility and example from church leaders.  

The article focuses on the importance of children's ministry in the perspective of matthew 19:13-15. This article discusses the background to the importance of service in the church, especially service to children as an integral part of church work. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing library sources and describing the results systematically. The discussion of this article covers two main aspects: first, christ-centered children's ministry, which emphasizes the importance of treating children's ministry seriously and appreciating the importance of children in the kingdom of heaven. Second, a discussion of building faith in children's ministry, which includes the responsibility of the church and adults to develop character and build a solid foundation of faith for future generations. The conclusion emphasizes that children's ministry is not just an additional task in the church, but the core of the church's mission that must be prioritized. By paying attention to the strategic role of children's ministry, churches can effectively strengthen the foundations of faith and morality for future generations.

This study aims to explore the dynamics of leadership regeneration in an ecclesiastical context with an emphasis on three main aspects: the urgency of leadership renewal, the escalation of conflict within the synod, and the contribution of cross-generational participation in the leadership structure. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which focuses on in-depth understanding of existing phenomena. Regeneration of ecclesiastical leadership is becoming an increasingly urgent issue in the midst of rapid social change, transformation of service orientation, and the declining level of involvement of the younger generation in church organizational structures. In the absence of a structured and sustainable regeneration system, the dominance of certain age groups in leadership may hinder the renewal of the church's vision and the transfer of relevant ministry values. Therefore, leadership regeneration should be viewed as a transformative and contextual structural reform, which aims to respond to the challenges of the times and prepare a more inclusive and adaptive future leadership. Conflicts in church synods are often triggered by the tension between the application of normative church ordinances and the complexity of interpersonal relationships shaped by the history and internal dynamics of the church. Rigid application of ecclesiastical regulations without considering the social context can trigger deliberative dysfunction and polarization, which hinders inclusive decision-making. In this case, managerial skills in managing conflict through dialogic, empathic, and reconciliatory approaches are needed to maintain the cohesion and legitimacy of the synod, so that decisions can reflect the needs and aspirations of the people. Cross-generational participation in church leadership is key to ensuring continuity and synergy in ministry. Collaboration between senior and younger generations can strengthen collective capacity, transform power relations, and create inclusive and sustainable leadership models.

Toxic leadership in church contexts is not merely an organizational problem; it can become a psychospiritual wound when pastoral authority is used to shame, silence, manipulate, or control congregants in the name of God. This article examines pastoral counseling for congregants who experience inner wounds caused by toxic leadership in the church. The study addresses a gap in previous research: leadership studies have clarified the concepts of abusive supervision and destructive leadership. In contrast, religious trauma research has described spiritual abuse, yet fewer works have developed a constructive pastoral counseling synthesis that integrates both fields. Using a conceptual and integrative literature review design, this article draws on peer-reviewed studies on toxic leadership, spiritual abuse, institutional betrayal, moral injury, trauma-informed care, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy. The synthesis proposes that pastoral counseling in this context must be trauma-informed, spiritually competent, ecclesially accountable, and clinically humble. Three findings are advanced: toxic church leadership wounds identity, agency, and God-image; pastoral counseling must begin with safety, validation, narrative reconstruction, and protection of conscience; and recovery requires individual care and institutional repair through accountability, referral pathways, and anti-retaliatory church culture. The article concludes that pastoral counseling is most constructive when it becomes a ministry of truth-telling, non-coercive accompaniment, and communal restoration rather than a tool for preserving abusive systems.

Humans thought patterns will change and develop according to the times, taking as an example the current development of digital eras. The digital world is rapidly developing in every aspect of humans life today, long distances feel close and easy to reachs. The impact of digital developments is also felt in religious education in churches and schools. A church that lives and develops in the digital era is required to be able to follow positive currents in responding to developments in Catholic youth ministry work. This digital church ministry work includes distance or online learning in Catechesis which strives for each individual towards maturing in the Christian life. Catechesis distance learning also has challenges and opportunities which are explained in detail in this research.

Harmonization of traditional leadership, especially through the figure of David, opens up opportunities and challenges in the context of modern pastoral ministry. Values ​​such as courage, perseverance, and integrity serve as inspiration for church leaders. A strategic approach, involving coaching and training, is crucial to integrating these values. Despite challenges and resistance, a deep understanding of these factors helps design effective strategies. By applying values ​​in daily practice, church leaders create enduring, relevant, and inspiring ministries, guiding people toward spiritual growth.

The story of Joshua's leadership in the Bible provides valuable insight for modern church leaders. Through vision analysis, relational leadership, handling challenges, conflict management, and Joshua's mentoring, this paper explores leadership principles that can be applied in today's spiritual ministry. Case studies and interviews with church leaders provide concrete examples of the application of these principles in practical contexts. The relevance of Joshua's leadership strategy in facing contemporary dynamics and the need for contextual adjustments is explained. The conclusion states that Joshua's story provides a foundation for inspired and practical church leadership, promoting the continuity of spiritual ministry in changing times.

The NNC (Nouthetic Nature Community) method is a new method that comes from combining Nouthetic which consists of the elements of Confrontation, Concern, and Change as well as the addition of Nature and Community elements, the author named the NNC method. The author created this new method based on the needs of members of a local church who were experiencing feelings of disappointment. One of the elements of NNC is Community which has an impact on services to the community, distribution of food to people in need, this community is named Dapoer Berkat. Dapoer Berkat community activities aim to ensure that each member experiences recovery through counseling, worship, prayer as well as the loving service of distributing food to the surrounding community. Dapoer Berkat chose this community service place in Ciangsana village, West Java because it is close to the community and in Ciangsana village there are quite a lot of elderly people who still work as janitors, rubbish collectors, and online motorbike taxis. The love of Christ drives Dapoer. Thanks to carrying out this ministry, love is a real action that can be felt by everyone.

This research will discuss the historical issue of the beginning of the Christian indigenization movement in Java up to its development. This was done in response to the Dutch colonial era zending (Western evangelists) who did not care about Javanese culture. Kyai Sadrach, an indigenous evangelist, made a major contribution to the indigenization movement in Java. His ministry was very successful in forming a Christian community in Java. He had started to establish a church whose congregation was native people and grew very rapidly in his time. By the end of his life, Kyai Sadrach's congregation had reached 20,000 members (1869-1823). Kyai Sadrach focuses on services to rural communities. The strategy used is a cultural contextual approach and local customary procedures, especially those related to Islamic customs, so that it gets good acceptance. Therefore, this research was created to provide an understanding of the Christian indigenization movement in Java and how big the influence of Kyai Sadrach was in this movement. The sources used to write this paper are books and articles and digital material sources related to the discussion of the History of Christianity in Java.

The study aims to find out what the ideal church service is like for Sunday school children. The research method used is the study of libraries, interview approaches and observation of the ministry of several churches for Sunday schoolchildren. Through a number of literacy, observation and interviews with a number of Sunday school teachers, it is known that the problem of ministry to Sunday school largely arises from the church itself where many weaknesses lie in the Pastor and Assembly who are still less serious about improving the ministry of PAK to children in the church. Some suggestions to address the problem are: 1). Priests should facilitate teaching, provide week school curriculum and actively engage in serving Sunday school worship. 2). The Church needs to include a special budget for the increase in Sunday School Teacher’s HR. 3). The Church needs to periodically evaluate the Sunday school service. 4). The Church needs to work on service facilities ranging from child-friendly specialty spaces. 5). The Church needs to engage members of the congregation who have pedagogic and theological competencies to support Sunday school service. 6). Even in limitations, Sunday school teachers need to update their knowledge and skills in varying the teaching methods of week schoolchildren.
