Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health problem with high morbidity and mortality rates, particularly in high-burden countries such as Indonesia. Nutritional status is one of the important factors influencing the incidence and outcomes of TB. This literature review aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and pulmonary tuberculosis based on recent national and international studies. Articles were retrieved from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Portal Garuda using the keywords “nutritional status” and “tuberculosis” as well as “status gizi tuberculosis” within the period of 2019–2024. Eligible articles were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that poor nutritional status is significantly associated with an increased risk of pulmonary tuberculosis. Malnutrition impairs cellular immunity, particularly T-lymphocyte and macrophage function, thereby increasing susceptibility to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Conversely, active TB infection can worsen nutritional status through increased energy expenditure, decreased appetite, and metabolic alterations. This bidirectional relationship highlights the crucial role of nutritional interventions in TB prevention and management. Therefore, improving nutritional status should be considered an integral component of tuberculosis control strategies.

Background: Hand grip strength is an essential indicator of physical capacity and nutritional status that can identify obesity risk. Adipose tissue accumulation in central obesity contributes to decreased hand grip strength quality through impaired muscle force transmission. Previous studies showed inconsistent results regarding the relationship between waist circumference and hand grip strength, especially in populations with high physical activity. Objective: To analyze the relationship between waist circumference and hand grip strength in male construction workers with high physical activity in Medan City. Methods: This descriptive-analytic study with cross-sectional design involved 100 male construction workers aged 30-39 years selected using purposive sampling technique. Waist circumference was measured using measuring tape, while hand grip strength was measured using handgrip dynamometer. Data analysis used Chi-Square test with significance level α=0.05. Results: The majority of respondents had normal waist circumference (64%) with mode 70 cm and normal grip strength category (53%) with mode 41.7 kg. Chi-Square test showed significant relationship between waist circumference and hand grip strength (p=0.039). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between waist circumference and hand grip strength in construction workers. High physical activity does not completely prevent central obesity, therefore nutritional management and health education programs are needed for optimization of body composition and muscle functional capacity.

Hypertension, a global health issue, is increasingly prevalent and significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality. It often coexists with obesity, a key risk factor for hypertension and vascular complications. The combination of hypertension and obesity leads to metabolic changes, chronic inflammation, and oxidative stress that damage retinal blood vessels, directly affecting visual acuity. This literature review examines the relationship between hypertension, obesity, and visual acuity, analyzing 20 articles published between 2021 and 2025, sourced from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect. The study found a significant association between hypertension and obesity with decreased visual acuity. Obesity not only serves as a comorbidity but also as a mediator, worsening hypertension's effects through mechanisms like insulin resistance and endothelial dysfunction. Longitudinal studies indicate that visual impairment is progressive, while cross-sectional studies highlight its high prevalence in hypertensive obese populations. The review emphasizes the need for routine eye exams, blood pressure control, and weight management as preventive measures. In conclusion, hypertension and obesity together significantly increase the risk of visual impairment, necessitating a multidisciplinary approach to care and promoting preventive strategies to preserve eye health and enhance patients' quality of life.

Emotional intelligence (EI) is an essential competency for early childhood education (ECE) teachers in fostering supportive and emotionally responsive learning environments. However, many ECE teachers in Indonesia have limited access to structured EI training. This community service program aimed to strengthen the emotional intelligence of non-formal ECE teachers from HIMPAUDI Cipayung, East Jakarta, through interactive lectures and reflective practice using Points of You (Flow) cards. The training focused on four EI domains: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Results showed a substantial improvement in participants’ understanding, with average scores increasing from 30.5 (pre-test) to 90.9 (post-test). Most participants (85%) reported that the training was beneficial and expressed readiness to apply the strategies in classroom practice. Observations also indicated improved teacher confidence in managing children’s emotions and building positive interactions. These findings demonstrate that reflective and experiential EI training effectively enhances ECE teachers’ emotional competencies and supports the creation of a positive social-emotional learning environment.

This systematic review maps how innovation, technology adoption, and Islamic entrepreneurial behaviors are intertwined and contribute to the SDGs. Searches in Scopus followed PRISMA 2020: of the 166 initial records, 46 were eliminated prior to screening; 120 filtered by title–abstract; 45 read in full; and 25 articles were analyzed in depth. Four RQs lead the synthesis: the form of innovation/adoption (RQ1), impact on behavior and performance (RQ2), and their relationship to the SDGs (RQ3). The findings show five complementary faces of innovation: (1) process-organization (knowledge management, open innovation; innovation capability), (2) sharia business/finance models (sharia venture capital, agricultural value chain finance), (3) financial and platform digitalization (fintech, Islamic crowdfunding), (4) technological innovation in business models (e.g., urban farming–aquaponics) that are value-framed, and (5) halal product/marketing innovation (halal assurance and halal trust). Behind that, the drivers are layered: individual values and psychology, Islamic HRM cultural orientation and organizational learning, Islamic finance architecture and regulation, and access to digital literacy and trust in the platform. The impact is multidimensional performance, access to ethical capital, halal market behavior, and social and religious environmental outcomes with strong contributions to SDG 8 and SDG 9, and footprints on SDGs 1–2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17. This SLR offers an integrated financial innovation value framework and proposes SDGs micro-indicators; limitations mainly in the variation of measurements and the dominance of cross-section designs.

The management of used goods in warehouses involves a high level of complexity due to the wide variety of item types, differences in economic value, and limitations in space and labor. These conditions result in unstructured item arrangement, difficulties in determining item priorities, and inefficient loading processes caused by relatively long material handling distances. This study aims to analyze the application of the ABC Analysis method to improve layout efficiency and the management of used goods at the warehouse of UD. Barokah Mulia Rongsok. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and warehouse record documentation, then analyzed using the ABC Analysis method as well as an analysis of the relationship between material handling distance and loading time. The results show that Category A items have the highest contribution in terms of value and movement frequency; however, under existing conditions, these items are still located far from the loading area. In addition, a relationship was found between material handling distance and loading duration. Based on these findings, a proposed warehouse layout was developed that prioritizes placing Category A items closer to the loading door, thereby potentially improving warehouse layout efficiency.

This research seeks to analyze how balancing funds and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) contribute to regional financial performance through a literature review approach. The study is motivated by inconsistencies in prior findings as well as the crucial role of these two revenue components in strengthening the fiscal autonomy of local governments. The method applied involves a review of relevant academic studies published between 2022 and 2025, which were sourced from Google Scholar. The findings suggest that balancing funds are able to support improvements in financial performance when managed effectively, although their use may also lead to a higher level of dependence on the central government. In contrast, PAD generally shows a positive relationship with financial performance, as it represents a region’s capacity to generate and manage its own revenue, even though several studies report that its influence is not always statistically significant.Overall, this study highlights the need for optimizing PAD management alongside ensuring that balancing funds are allocated in an efficient and transparent manner, in order to achieve sustainable improvements in regional financial performance.
