Air quality in Western Java is highly dynamic and shaped by environmental changes influenced by intense human activities. Aerosols—tiny particulate matter that affects air quality, weather, and climate—can be quantified using Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD), which measures aerosol concentrations in the atmospheric column. This research uses spatial regression analysis to examine the spatial distribution of AOD from GEE’s platform (Google Earth Engine) and its relationship with rainfall and wind patterns during both the wet and dry seasons. The findings indicate that wind speed does not significantly impact AOD values, but wind direction does affect the distribution of rainfall and AOD, likely due to the monsoon system. During the wet season (December to March), high-intensity and widespread rainfall effectively cleanses the atmosphere of aerosols, leading to no significant effect on AOD (p-value > 0.05). In contrast, during the dry season, rainfall significantly influences AOD spatial patterns (p-value < 0.05). These results highlight the intricate interplay between meteorological factors and aerosol’s behavior, emphasizing the seasonal variability in their interactions.

Global climate change demands immediate technological advancements, particularly in the transport industry that continues to use fossil fuels. One viable solution is to reduce the size of vehicle engines to make them more fuel-efficient and lower carbon emissions. The purpose of this research is to assess the effect of reducing engine size on fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions in low-cost green car hatchbacks in Indonesia. The technique employed is straightforward analytical modeling, employing Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression among three significant variables: engine capacity, fuel economy, and CO₂ emission. The data are obtained from the technical specifications of four hatchback automobile models, all of which have an engine capacity of less than 1,200 cc. Findings indicate that smaller engine capacity is accompanied by greater fuel economy and lower carbon emissions. The lowest engine size of 998 cc is used in the Toyota Agya, which demonstrates the most efficient fuel and lowest emissions. The statistical analysis shows that there is an inverse relationship between engine size and fuel efficiency, but a positive relationship between engine size and CO₂ emissions. The limitation of sample size causes reduced statistical power of the model. In conclusion, engine downsizing can prove to be a productive approach in promoting green schemes, but additional research with a larger data set and other determinants must be undertaken to establish a more advanced and precise model.

The rapid advancement of the internet and social media has led to the emergence of social commerce, which integrates e-commerce with social media platforms. Reviews, as a form of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), have become a key information source relied on by consumers in social commerce. However, the growing presence of buzzers and paid endorsements producing fake reviews has weakened the relevance and trustworthiness of e-WOM, including both online customer reviews and influencer reviews. This study aims to examine the impact of online customer reviews and influencer reviews on the purchase intention of Somethinc products on TikTok’s social commerce platform. The research adopts a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, involving 120 TikTok users in Bandar Lampung as respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 27 software. The findings reveal that both online customer reviews and influencer reviews significantly and positively influence purchase intention. These results suggest that exposure to online customer and influencer reviews can enhance consumers’ purchase intention toward Somethinc products on TikTok social commerce.

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, profitability, and solvability ratios on investment decisions while also investigating the moderating role of firm size in this relationship. The research focuses on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2019-2023, which are marked by significant economic disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic. A quantitative approach was employed, using panel data regression to test the proposed hypotheses. Financial ratios were measured using the current ratio, return on assets, and debt-to-equity ratio, while investment decisions were assessed using the price-earnings ratio. The natural logarithm of total assets measured firm size. The results reveal that liquidity and solvability significantly influence investment decisions, while profitability does not. Firm size was found to moderate the relationship between liquidity and solvability with investment decisions, but not the relationship involving profitability. These findings have practical implications for investors and corporate managers in formulating investment strategies and managing financial performance, highlighting the importance of considering firm size when evaluating the effectiveness of economic indicators. This research also contributes to the empirical literature on investment decision-making in the manufacturing sector.
