Jurnal Pelayanan Masyarakat 2025 Lembaga Pengembangan Kinerja Dosen

This Community Service activity (PKM) was carried out at the Church of Faith, Hope, and Love (IHAKA) with the aim of empowering lay members who do not have a formal theological background but have a desire to serve as Cell Group (KOMSEL) leaders. The method used is a participatory approach based on training and contextual reflection, consisting of three stages: interactive workshops, service reflection, and mentoring. The training is designed to equip participants with basic understanding of spiritual leadership, the ability to communicate the Word, as well as patterns of household worship relevant to the congregation's context. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' confidence in leading worship, the ability to actively discuss the Word, and the formation of closer service relationships through prayer and shared meals. Post-training mentorship also strengthens participants' commitment to serving with faithfulness and humility. This activity demonstrates that service is not merely a routine activity, but a calling in life that can be carried out by lay congregants through simple yet impactful guidance. This PKM is expected to serve as an initial model for other local churches in nurturing lay ministers in a contextual and sustainable manner.

School management quality is a vital factor in determining the success of the educational process, yet current efforts often appear partial and sub-optimal due to shortcomings in planning, supervision, and human resource development. This library research, employing a descriptive analytical method and systematic literature review through academic databases, aimed to analyze the crucial role of educational leadership in enhancing school management quality. The findings indicate that the core tasks of educational leadership encompass strategic planning, resource management, academic supervision, and integrated decision-making, all of which are fundamental for quality-oriented school governance. Effective leadership is characterized by vision, strong communication, adaptability, and a deep commitment to professional development. The study concludes that the success of improving school management quality is highly dependent on the principal’s ability to execute leadership tasks that are visionary, professional, strategic, and sustainable. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that principals consistently enhance their managerial and supervision competencies and cultivate a school culture that is professional and oriented towards continuous quality improvement.

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, playing a significant role in shaping the moral, spiritual, and intellectual character of society. Alongside the growing integration of formal education, pesantren are required to develop more modern and adaptive leadership models without abandoning their traditional values. This study aims to design a pesantren leadership structure that integrates transformational, distributive, and instructional leadership principles rooted in local culture. The analysis conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukhlisin in Deli Serdang Regency indicates that leadership patterns remain centered on the kiai figure, resulting in suboptimal coordination and delegation of authority. Transformational leadership is needed to foster inspiration and motivation; distributive leadership to strengthen collaboration and participation; and instructional leadership to ensure instructional quality and teachers’ professional development. The integration of these three leadership models is believed to create a pesantren leadership system that is visionary, participatory, and quality-oriented, while remaining aligned with local cultural values such as gotong royong, musyawarah, and familial solidarity. Thus, pesantren can evolve into innovative, adaptive, and sustainable Islamic educational institutions in the modern era.

Leadership in educational organizations, especially in the Darul Hikmah Modern Islamic Boarding School in Medan, faces the challenges of modernity that demand integration between traditional spiritual values ​​and management professionalism. This study aims to analyze the existing leadership structure and design a new structure that integrates the Transformational, Distributive, and Instructional models that are aligned with the local wisdom of North Sumatra, namely the Dalihan Na Tolu philosophy. The method used is qualitative case analysis with observation and interviews. The results of the analysis show that the current leadership is dominated by charismatic and centralistic styles (strong Transformational), but weak in the Distributive dimension (low teacher participation) and Adaptive Technology Instructional. The proposed new leadership structure design emphasizes the formation of a Quality Supervisory Board (DPM) and the Head of Human Resources & Regeneration. This new model places the Kyai/Head of the Islamic Boarding School as the spiritual authority (Hula-hula), Mudir/Executive Director as the managerial change agent (Dongan Tubu), and strengthens the academic/innovation function (Boru). The conclusion suggests that leadership transformation in this Islamic boarding school requires a shift from a figure-based system to a competency-based and collaborative system, making it an adaptive, professional institution firmly rooted in local values.

Leadership management plays a crucial role in developing nursing career paths in hospitals. An effective career path system not only enhances nurses' competence and professionalism but also contributes to job satisfaction and retention. However, scientific evidence regarding the influence of leadership management on nurses' career paths remains scattered and shows varying findings. This systematic review aims to synthesize scientific evidence related to the influence of leadership management on nursing career path development in hospitals. This study used a systematic review design following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. A literature search was conducted through PubMed and Google Scholar for articles published between 2015 and 2024. Articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 13 articles for analysis. Data synthesis was conducted using a thematic synthesis approach. The review identified five main themes: leadership style, managerial support, organizational systems and policies, the impact of career paths, and barriers to implementation. Transformational and participatory leadership has been reported to have a positive influence on nurses' career development. Managerial support through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training strengthens career readiness, increases job satisfaction, and reduces nurse turnover intentions. Leadership management has a significant influence on nursing career development in hospitals. Integrating effective leadership with a clear and transparent career development system is necessary to enhance professionalism, job satisfaction, and the sustainability of the nursing workforce.

This study examines the solidity of the National Mandate Party (PAN) in Merangin Regency during the 2024 Simultaneous Local Elections, which unfolded amid notable political dynamics and differing preferences between the party’s central and regional structures. Party solidity is analyzed using Firman Noor’s theory of party solidity, focusing on procedural leadership represented by two key indicators: decision-making mechanisms and the role of charismatic leadership. The study aims to understand how these indicators influence PAN Merangin’s organizational stability throughout the process of determining political support. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and media reports, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that although PAN Merangin formally implemented decision-making procedures according to the party’s statutes (AD/ART), the practice remained dominated by top-down communication from the central board (DPP), limiting regional participation in strategic political decisions. Meanwhile, the charismatic leadership of the PAN Merangin Chairman played a crucial role in maintaining organizational cohesion, reducing internal tensions, and ensuring cadre loyalty to central decisions. These results suggest the need to strengthen two-way structural communication and enhance the capacity of local party leaders to reinforce party solidity in future political contests.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di Noms Kopi Semarang Timur. Seluruh populasi karyawan yang berjumlah 40 orang digunakan sebagai sampel, mengadopsi pendekatan sensus. Untuk pengumpulan data, kuesioner disebarkan kepada karyawan dengan respons yang diukur menggunakan skala Likert lima poin. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; thitung​ 6.161 > ttabel​ 2.028). Serupa, motivasi kerja juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; thitung​ 4.928 > ttabel​ 2.028). Sebaliknya, budaya organisasi ditemukan memiliki pengaruh yang negatif namun signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; thitung​ -7.939 > ttabel​ 2.028). Lebih lanjut, secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut (kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan budaya organisasi) secara kolektif memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Sig. 0.001 < 0.05; Fhitung​ 44.839 > Ftabel​ 2.87).

Community service activities through Scouting training for the Pandega Scouts of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya and Racana Universitas Brawijaya aim to equip the younger generation with leadership skills, character development, and social-ecological awareness. This program involved two main activities, namely the Basic Scout Leader Course (KMD) organized by Universitas Brawijaya at Pusdiklatcab Kota Malang and a canoeing training held in Jung Kwatu, Mojokerto. The methods employed combined theory and practice, using an interactive, participatory, and experiential approach. The evaluation of the training results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of scouting concepts, leadership skills, and environmental conservation awareness. Furthermore, the program successfully strengthened inter-institutional collaboration and empowered the local community through ecotourism potential. This program is expected to contribute to the development of a generation that is more socially and environmentally conscious and to strengthen the position of Scouting as a key institution in character-building for the nation.

This community service activity aims to strengthen the leadership capacity of youth and congregations at the Faithful Christian Church of Indonesia (GKSI) Ampadi, West Kalimantan, through empowerment programs and training based on spiritual values. The church as a faith community has a strategic responsibility in creating leadership regeneration, but the reality on the ground shows that youth involvement in ministry is still limited. This service activity was carried out with a participatory and qualitative descriptive approach, through stages of observation, literature study, spiritual leadership training, cross-generational mentoring, and direct assistance to participants. The results of the activity showed that the low participation of youth in GKSI Ampadi was caused by a lack of structural development, the dominance of the senior generation, and the absence of a clear cadre system. Through a Bible-based leadership training program, the formation of an inclusive ministry team, and ongoing mentoring, there was a significant increase in youth involvement and synergy between congregations. In addition, this activity produced a leadership cadre roadmap as a strategic guide for the church in developing human resources for ministry. This service activity not only had an impact on improving the quality of service and congregational activity, but also strengthened the process of sustainable leadership regeneration within the local church environment. It is hoped that this empowerment model can be applied contextually by other churches to build dynamic, inclusive, and contemporary service communities.

This research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of Organizational Culture (X_1), Discipline (X_2), Leadership (X_3), and Workload (X_4) on Employee Performance (Y) at PT. PELINDO III (Persero) Tanjung Emas Branch Semarang. Utilizing a quantitative associative approach, data were collected from 50 employee respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis confirmed that X_1, X_2, and X_3 positively and significantly influence Employee Performance, while Workload (X_4) significantly influences performance negatively (\beta = -0.091). Organizational Culture (X_1) was identified as the most influential factor (\beta = 0.461), followed by Leadership (X_3, \beta = 0.313) and Discipline (X_2, \beta = 0.149). The results highlight the critical need for a strong organizational culture and effective leadership in overcoming the inevitable challenges posed by workload pressure in the demanding port environment. The model demonstrated a strong fit, explaining approximately 68.5\% of the variation in Employee Performance. Managerial implications suggest prioritizing culture reinforcement and leadership development to mitigate the negative impact of high operational workload.

This study, entitled "Dynamics in Village Leadership (A Study of Village Apparatus Recruitment in Weseben Village, Malaka Regency)," aims to analyze the leadership style of village heads in the apparatus recruitment process, uncover the growing practices of patronage and clientelism, and examine their implications for the implementation of good governance principles at the village level. Theoretically, this research is based on village leadership theory, patronage-clientelism theory, and the concept of good governance, which emphasizes the values ​​of transparency, accountability, and public participation in village governance.The method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with village heads, village officials, traditional leaders, members of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and the community, and was supported by field observations and documentation studies. The results indicate that: (1) the leadership style of village heads in Weseben is dominant and personalistic, with the village head retaining full control over the apparatus recruitment process, (2) apparatus recruitment places greater emphasis on loyalty and personal closeness than on professional competence, (3) The practice of patronage and clientelism is strongly evident in the relationship between the village head as patron and village officials as clients, which is built through kinship ties and reciprocal interests, (4) decisions regarding the appointment of officials are often tinged with elements of nepotism and collusion to strengthen the village head's political support base, and (5) the recruitment system is not yet oriented towards the principle of a merit system, namely a selection system based on individual ability, achievement, and integrity, as implemented in professional governance.Thus, it can be concluded that the dynamics of village leadership in Weseben are still strongly influenced by the practice of patronage and clientelism, which hinders the realization of democratic, transparent, and accountable village governance.

Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi pendidikan karakter oleh Penyuluh dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kepercayaan Terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan Budi Pekerti di SMP Negeri 2 Sumowono. Fokus penelitian meliputi strategi pengajaran, metode penyampaian nilai karakter, tantangan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Metode kualitatif digunakan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan pendidikan karakter diterapkan melalui lima elemen utama yaitu Sejarah, Keagungan Tuhan, Budi Pekerti, Martabat Spiritual, Larangan dan Kewajiban dengan metode interaktif seperti diskusi kelompok, ceramah inspiratif, dan praktik langsung (role-play) untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter dan keteladanan Penyuluh. Faktor pendukung berupa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, keterlibatan orang tua, dan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif, sedangkan penghambat meliputi keterbatasan sarana, waktu, dan pengaruh negatif pergaulan. Dampak positif terlihat pada peningkatan kejujuran, kedisiplinan, kesantunan, dan toleransi siswa. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan karakter berhasil membentuk peserta didik penghayat kepercayaan berakhlak mulia, namun perlu upaya berkelanjutan untuk mengatasi hambatan dan memperkuat kolaborasi sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat.

in today's increasingly competitive business environment organization face growing complexities, particlurly in sustaining employee productivity amif external pressure such as market competition and demands for innovation and internal issues, including employee well-being and leadership quality. productivity plays a pivotal role in organizational succser, shaping profitability, operational efficiency, and competitiveness. a key derminant is employee well being, with job stress frequently exerting a detrimental effect. prolonged increased absenteeism, thereby undermining organizational productivity. this study examines the effects of transformational egagement as a mediating variable, at PT Tigamas Mitra Selaras Gresik. The objective is to analysze how transformational leadership and kob stress, both directly and through the mediation of employee comprising the entire population (n=36) was employed; data were collected viar suvey and analyzed using partial least squares (PLS). the findings indicate that transformational leadership has a positive effect on productivity and employee engagement, whereas excessive kobn stress exarts a negative impact on both engagement and productivity. Moreocer, employee engagement signifianctly mediates the relationship between transfromational leadership and productivty and between job steess and productivty. the study recommends the development of transformational leadership and the impementation of robust stress-management strategies as critical avenues for enhancing productivity. accordingly, organizations should institute transformational leadership training to strengthen engagement and introduce stress-mnanagement initiatives grounded in psychological support and more collaborative work environment. this study offers practical constributions to human resource management praticulary importance of balancing insipirational leaderhsip with reduction of work-elected pressures.

Port Management and Maritime Administration Journal 2025 Indonesian Maritime Researchers and Lecturers

This research aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of Leadership (X₁), Work Motivation (X₂), Compensation (X₃), and Work Environment (X₄) on Employee Performance (Y) at PT. Kalisari Putra Semarang, a company in the transportation sector. Using a quantitative associative method, data were collected from a census of 85 permanent employees (N=85) through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression (SPSS). The results confirmed that all four independent variables significantly and positively influence employee performance (all tₕᵢᵗᵘⁿg > tₜₐᵦᵉᵡ 1.66). Leadership (X₁) was found to be the most dominant factor, with the highest regression coefficient (β = 0.373), followed by Compensation (β = 0.182), Work Environment (β = 0.145), and Work Motivation (β = 0.110). The model demonstrated a strong explanatory power, with the Coefficient of Determination (R²) reaching 0.898, indicating that 89.80% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these factors. The main managerial implication is that improving leadership quality and competency is the most critical factor for maximizing employee performance in this company.

This study examines the concept of women's leadership from an Islamic and Catholic perspective and how religious values ​​influence the acceptance and legitimacy of women's leadership in the public sphere. Using a qualitative approach using a desk study method, this study analyzes religious texts, scientific literature, and case studies of the leadership of two Southeast Asian women: Megawati Soekarnoputri in Indonesia and Corazon Aquino in the Philippines. The results show that both Islam and Catholicism have complex histories and interpretations of women's roles in leadership. While conservative and patriarchal readings exist within both traditions, there is also interpretive space that allows women to emerge as leaders. The leadership of Megawati and Aquino demonstrates that women are capable of leading with distinctive styles rooted in values ​​of spirituality, morality, and service. Both demonstrate a non-confrontational yet effective leadership approach, which simultaneously opens up space for reinterpreting women's roles in religion and politics. Thus, women's leadership is not a deviation from religious teachings, but rather part of the socio-religious dynamic that demands inclusivity and equality.

This paper aims to explore the hermeneutics proposed by Fatima Mernissi in reading a hadith, especially those related to the hadith of female leadership. In this case, the hadith narrated by Abu Bakrah's companion stated that "a people who entrust their affairs to women will not be successful." This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive analytical nature, which focuses on analyzing the sanad and matan and revealing how the socio-historical context of a hadith is narrated. The results of this study indicate that the hermeneutic concept proposed by Fatima Mernissi is able to identify bias in the narration of a hadith. In this case, the hadith narrated by Abu Bakra is considered weak for several reasons, such as the incompleteness of Abu Bakra's genealogy, the influence of the social conditions of the hadith, and the lack of credibility of the narrator. Therefore, the hermeneutic approach proposed by Fatima Mernissi provides a reinterpretation of the hadiths so that they are in line with the principle of justice.

This study aims to analyze toxic and narcissistic leadership in Christian educational institutions. The research method employed is a literature review with a content analysis approach. Data were collected through documentation studies of various academic books and relevant scholarly journals, then systematically analyzed to identify themes, patterns, and strategic insights. This literature review seeks to provide an in-depth understanding of toxic and narcissistic leadership phenomena, focusing on the influencing factors, their implications for organizations, and potential conflict resolution strategies. The findings reveal that toxic and narcissistic leadership has a negative impact on organizational health, particularly within Christian education, which should uphold the values of love, sacrifice, and service. Conversely, the implementation of conflict resolution based on Christian values can restore relationships, strengthen leadership integrity, and foster a healthy organizational culture. This study emphasizes the importance of transforming toxic and narcissistic leadership into leadership grounded in the values of Christ so that Christian educational institutions can remain consistent with their mission to educate, guide, and serve with love.

The dynamics of the positions of DPR members cannot be separated from the political activities of lame ducks. However, the lame duck era became problematic because the DPR's legislative activity suddenly increased rapidly towards the end of its term. This increase was accompanied by the controversial passing of a number of bills. This study will examine the urgency of the need for change and the formation of new laws during the lame duck era and the dynamics of the legislative process during the lame duck era of political leadership in Indonesia, using doctrinal research with a legislative and conceptual approach. Based on the research results, it is known that changes and the formation of new laws during the lame duck era lack urgency but will have a negative impact on the quality of legislation and public trust in the government. The dynamics of the legislative process during the lame duck era of political leadership in Indonesia can be reflected in the formation of the fourth revision of the Constitutional Court Bill and the Law on State Ministries. Furthermore, since the first level of deliberation, the process has been closed and rushed without significant public participation. Moreover, Indonesia is currently in a transitional position towards a new government. Therefore, no new regulations should be enacted during this transitional period, as the drafting of the Constitutional Court Bill fails to meet the philosophical, sociological, and legal requirements. Furthermore, the enactment of the State Ministry Law has also sparked controversy, ranging from its substance to its procedural basis.

Youth empowerment is an effective strategy for improving the quality of community-based public health. As the nation's next generation, adolescents have great potential to become agents of change, including in the health sector. This study aims to develop a model for empowering adolescents as agents of public health leadership at the community level. The method used is a community-based participatory research approach involving adolescents, community leaders, and health workers. The results show that leadership training, health education, and social activities can increase the capacity of adolescents to lead and educate the community about clean and healthy living behaviors. The implementation of these activities also shows increased community participation and changes in health behaviors in the target environment. In conclusion, empowering adolescents as agents of community leadership can be a sustainable strategy for strengthening a public health system based on active participation.

Employee performance is a key factor in the operational success of a business, including at Kalenan Cafe & Resto Sawahan Nganjuk, which is growing in the culinary sector. The low performance of some employees is suspected to be influenced by suboptimal leadership styles and a compensation system that is not transparent and fair. This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style on employee performance; the effect of compensation on employee performance; and the simultaneous effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance. The study employed a quantitative survey approach with 65 employees selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation related to performance, leadership, and compensation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while compensation has a negative yet significant effect.
