This study analyzes the effectiveness of using BNI Bank’s QRIS in improving transaction convenience and efficiency at the canteen of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (UNTAG) Surabaya. The research was conducted by a team led by Ida Ayu Nuh Kartini, S.E., M.M., together with students of the Management Study Program, during November–December 2025. The rapid development of digital banking has encouraged the adoption of QRIS as a standardized non-cash payment system regulated by Bank Indonesia. This study aims to examine the level of QRIS BNI utilization, assess ease of use (application access and QR code scanning), and evaluate transaction efficiency, including time savings, queue reduction, and error minimization. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with a five-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 36 respondents consisting of students, lecturers, and administrative staff who had used QRIS at the canteen. Primary data were analyzed descriptively using averages and percentages, supported by relevant literature. The results show that QRIS is perceived as highly effective, with scores above 90% for ease of use (95%), transaction speed (92.78%), reduction of change-related issues (97.78%), support for digitalization (97.22%), and security (91.11%). The main limitation identified is dependence on internet connectivity (85%). Overall, respondents strongly support the full implementation of non-cash payment systems at the campus canteen.

The initiative showcases a partnership between local governments, universities, and communities, emphasizing capacity enhancement through mentoring, training, and digitalization of businesses. This study utilized a qualitative approach through a case study method. Data were gathered via thorough interviews with representatives from the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Pejuang Muda participants, and supported business owners. The results indicate that the program notably enhanced managerial capabilities, product innovation, and market accessibility for MSMEs. Additionally, collaboration across sectors has enhanced the program’s sustainability and fostered a responsive local economic ecosystem to adjust to global market shifts. Nonetheless, obstacles persist in consistent policy and sustainable funding strategies. In general, the Pejuang Muda initiative exemplifies empowerment by merging social, educational, and economic principles within a local development framework centered on self-sufficiency and youth engagement. The research suggests implementing the program in additional areas with improved inter-agency collaboration, supportive policy measures, and fortified digital infrastructure to guarantee the ongoing sustainability of local economic development.

This study aims to analyze interactive content strategies, value perceptions, and consumer engagement at PT. Indo Bismar Surabaya. The background of this study is based on the increasingly dominant trend of short video-based marketing on social media, yet Indo Bismar's consumer engagement levels remain limited. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with digital marketing staff, interns, and consumers, and reinforced by observing content on the company's official Instagram account. The analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Indo Bismar's content strategy is dominated by entertainment content oriented towards visibility, while product information only receives a small portion. The creativity of the internship team strengthens content implementation, but limited human resources and budget hinder consistency. Consumers rate content value higher when information, entertainment, and interactivity are present simultaneously, which ultimately increases engagement. This study confirms that the success of digital marketing depends not only on content creativity, but also on the organization's ability to strategically manage internal resources.

This study aims to examine the effects of workload, job stress, and work spirit on employee performance at PT Victory International Futures Surabaya, a financial services company operating in the highly demanding futures trading industry. Employing a quantitative descriptive–correlational approach, data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using JASP and Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using WarpPLS, which is suitable for addressing multicollinearity issues and relatively small sample sizes (n = 37). The findings reveal that workload and job stress have significant negative effects on employee performance, whereas work spirit has a significant positive effect and emerges as the most dominant predictor. These results reinforce the Job Demands–Resources (JD–R) theory, which posits that job demands such as workload and stress can reduce performance when not balanced with adequate psychological resources like work spirit. Practically, the study recommends that management optimize workload distribution, implement stress management strategies, and strengthen employee motivation to improve performance sustainably. The study is limited by its small sample size and single-company focus, suggesting that future research should expand the organizational context and incorporate additional variables such as job satisfaction or organizational commitment.

This study aims to analyze the influence of local taxes and levies on Surabaya City's Original Regional Revenue (PAD) during the 2014–2024 period. PAD is a crucial indicator for measuring regional fiscal independence, so understanding the factors influencing it is highly relevant. This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of revenue realization reports obtained from the Directorate General of Taxes and Finance (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance and the Surabaya Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda). Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of both independent variables on PAD. Descriptive results indicate that local taxes have experienced stable long-term growth, despite a decline during the pandemic. While local levies tend to fluctuate and are more dependent on the level of public service activity. Through statistical testing, this study is expected to identify the contribution of each variable to increasing PAD and provide strategic recommendations for local governments in optimizing revenue. The findings also provide an empirical overview that can be used as a basis for planning more effective and sustainable regional fiscal policies.

The main issues identified in this study include mistargeting of beneficiaries, weak inter-agency coordination, low community participation in the verification process, and a tendency among recipients to rely on cash assistance in a consumptive manner. This research analyzes the scenario planning of the Cash Transfer Program (BLT) in reducing poverty in Surabaya City, particularly in Krembangan District. The program is implemented based on Surabaya Mayor Regulation Number 130 of 2023, which serves as the legal foundation for the regional BLT scheme. Using the Scenario Planning TAIDA model (Tracking, Analysing, Imaging, Deciding, and Acting) by Mats Lindgren and Bandhold (2003) as the analytical framework, this study examines the extent to which planning, decision-making, and implementation processes are able to respond to the socio-economic dynamics of the community. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that BLT plays a significant role in supporting low-income households and reducing poverty rates; however, challenges persist, including limited community engagement, weak inter-agency coordination, and non-productive use of assistance. The scenario planning approach is considered effective in helping the government design more adaptive, participatory, and sustainable policy strategies. It is expected that the BLT program will not only serve as a short-term intervention but also become a strategic instrument in promoting independence and improving the welfare of poor communities in Surabaya.

This study aims to analyze the effect of government expenditure and Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD) on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Surabaya City during the period 2014–2022. The background of the study stems from the crucial role of regional fiscal policy in promoting economic growth and the observed mismatch between the increase in regional expenditure and PAD with the development of GRDP. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis based on time-series data obtained from BPS and DJPK. The findings show that government expenditure and PAD simultaneously have a significant effect on GRDP. Partially, government expenditure has a positive and significant effect, while PAD has a positive but not significant effect on GRDP. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.998 indicates that both variables can explain most of the variation in GRDP. These results confirm that government expenditure is the dominant fiscal instrument in driving economic growth in Surabaya, while the contribution of PAD still needs to be strengthened to effectively enhance fiscal capacity and stimulate productive economic activities. This study is expected to serve as a reference for local governments in formulating more targeted budget policies

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of Good Governance and Fund Management on Public Trust in the City of Surabaya, especially in the Kemayoran Village community. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach, where data are obtained through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who have interacted with public services. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that Good Governance and Fund Management simultaneously have a significant effect on Public Trust, as evidenced by the results of the F test with a significance value of <0.05. Partially, the Fund Management variable has a positive and significant effect on Public Trust, while the Good Governance variable has a positive but insignificant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.658 indicates that 65.8% of the variation in Public Trust is explained by these two variables. This finding indicates that transparency and accountability in public budget management are dominant factors in increasing public trust, while the implementation of Good Governance principles has not been fully perceived as effective by the public. Thus, optimizing the quality of fund management is an important strategy to strengthen government legitimacy in the eyes of the public.

This study aims to analyze the optimization of sports equipment procurement in relation to improving the quality of public services in the sports sector in Gelora Tomo, Surabaya City. This study uses the SERVQUAL theoretical approach (Parasuraman, Zeithaml, & Berry, 1988) which includes five main dimensions, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The research method used was qualitative-quantitative descriptive with data collection through field observation, documentation, and surveys of 150 respondents who used sports facilities. The results of the study showed that the level of optimization of sports equipment procurement was in the category of quite optimal with an average score of 3.49, while the quality of public services increased to 3.68 (good category). The highest improvement occurred in the tangibles and reliability dimensions, while the empathy dimension still needs to be strengthened through public participation and user-based needs evaluation. Theoretically, these results confirm the relevance of the SERVQUAL model in measuring the quality of public services in the sports sector. Optimizing the procurement of effective, transparent, and needs-oriented equipment has proven to be a key determinant in building inclusive, professional, and sustainable sports public services.

The growth in the number of vehicles in Surabaya has led to increased traffic congestion, particularly on the Perak Timur–Perak Barat road section, which serves as a major distribution route to the port and industrial areas. Problems arise at U-Turn points, where vehicle accumulation hampers traffic flow. This study analyzes traffic volume, travel time, queue length, and queue ratio at two U-Turn points on this section. The method used was a field survey with direct observation of vehicle volume every 15 minutes, vehicle classification, and queue length. Traffic volume was calculated using the Passenger Car Equivalent (PCE) factor based on the 1997 MKJI standards. The study results show that at Point 1, east–west direction, the highest queue ratio occurred on Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:00 (p = 4.84), while the lowest was on Sunday from 06:00 to 07:00 (p = 0.21). At Point 2, west–east direction, the highest queue ratio occurred on Tuesday from 08:00 to 09:00 (p = 6.18), and the lowest from 06:00 to 07:00 (p = 0.41). These findings indicate that during peak hours, traffic congestion increases (p > 1), causing long queues, particularly in the west–east direction in the morning. The performance of the U-Turn on the Perak Timur–Perak Barat road section needs improvement, with recommendations such as temporarily closing U-Turns during high volumes, providing alternative U-Turn lanes, and adding signs to minimize the potential for vehicle conflicts.

This study aims to analyze the influence of transactional leadership, servant leadership, and work integrity on employee performance at PT. Istana Argo Kartika (Sanken) Surabaya Branch. The research applies a quantitative approach with an associative design to examine the relationships among variables. The population consists of all permanent employees, and because the total number is limited, a saturated sampling technique was used so that every employee could serve as a respondent. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and later analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine both partial and simultaneous effects. The findings reveal that transactional leadership, servant leadership, and work integrity each have a positive and significant impact on employee performance when tested individually. In addition, the combined influence of all three variables also shows a significant contribution to overall performance levels. These results suggest that firm direction, supportive service-oriented leadership, and strong adherence to integrity can effectively improve employee outcomes. Therefore, this study is expected to provide useful insights for management in designing leadership development programs and strengthening human resource strategies.

This community service program aims to describe the implementation and impact of “Persekutuan Hamba Tuhan,” a diaconal initiative conducted by GBI Jemaat Kasih Surabaya to support 80 pastors serving in small congregations around the M3 area of Surabaya. The background of the program stems from ongoing socioeconomic challenges affecting church ministers in the post-pandemic period, particularly those serving in churches with limited resources and unstable financial support. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation of the program activities, documentation of the distribution process, and testimonies from both recipients and church members. The results show three major outcomes. First, the distribution of food packages and basic daily necessities significantly reduced the economic burden of the participating pastors, providing a sense of relief and stability for their households. Second, the program strengthened congregational solidarity, as more than fifty church members actively engaged in fundraising, packaging, and direct service, building a stronger culture of compassion and shared responsibility. Third, the fellowship activities—consisting of worship, preaching, prayer, and personal encouragement—provided emotional and spiritual strengthening that renewed the pastors’ motivation and confidence in their ministry. Overall, this program demonstrates that integrated diaconal service combining material aid, spiritual encouragement, and relational support can offer meaningful impact for vulnerable church ministers. The findings also highlight the potential of this model to be replicated in other church settings as a holistic, community-based ministry approach. It is recommended that future programs expand coverage, incorporate long-term follow-up, and explore empowerment components to enhance sustainable impact.

This study examines the communication strategy implemented by the Surabaya Transportation Agency in providing education about Traffic Impact Analysis (Andalalin) at Siola Mall with the aim of increasing public understanding and trust in the service. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through field observations, activity documentation, and literature studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that humanely designed communication—prioritizing empathy, information openness, and quality assurance of service—can strengthen the relationship between officers and the community and increase the level of public trust. Communication practices include the delivery of simplified technical information, two-way dialogue to accommodate citizens' aspirations, and demonstrations of transparent Andalalin procedures. Factors that support success include officer competence, consistency of message, and the use of communication media that suits the character of the audience. The obstacles found include initial resistance from the community, limited resources, and the complexity of urban transportation issues. The research recommendations include strengthening the communication capacity of officers, developing participatory educational materials, and cross-sector collaboration to ensure the sustainability of Andalalin's education program and improving the quality of public services in Surabaya.
