This study investigates the influence of understanding the philosophy of science on students’ critical attitudes and academic ethics in the learning process. Philosophy of science is essential in shaping systematic and reflective scientific thinking, while also serving as a foundation for academic character development. Using a quantitative approach, the research involved 30 postgraduate management students at Universitas PGRI Palembang. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale to measure three constructs: understanding of the philosophy of science, critical attitude, and academic ethics. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results show that understanding the philosophy of science has a positive and significant effect on students' critical attitudes. Students with deeper understanding demonstrate better logical, analytical, and reflective thinking. Moreover, it significantly influences academic ethics—those with philosophical awareness tend to uphold academic integrity and originality. These findings affirm that the philosophy of science serves not only as a conceptual framework but also as a tool for shaping students’ intellectual and moral qualities. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating philosophy of science into higher education curricula to foster critical thinking and ethical academic behavior among students

One of the special aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) is Economic Rights, namely the right to obtain economic benefits from intellectual property. The creation of economic value shows that IP is one of the objects of trade that plays an important role in the development of a nation. As part of Intellectual Property, Geographical Indications are a trading tool that can provide benefits for producers, consumers, and the community in identifying products and providing quality assurance, avoiding fraudulent practices, helping the development of local producers, and supporting the preservation of nature and traditional knowledge. To carry out optimal IPR protection, a comparison needs to be made with practices that have been running so far, in this case a comparison will be made with practices in Malaysia. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data from various sources. This research will use a conceptual/theoretical approach and a comparative approach. This research will determine the country's strategy to protect intellectual property in Indonesia and Malaysia and determine an effective model in protecting Geographical Indications. Thus, this research produces a deep understanding of the protection of Geographical Indications, highlighting the successes and challenges in increasing success related to intellectual property.

This study explores the enduring legacy of Islamic legal scholarship and its significant influence on both historical and contemporary legal systems, with a particular focus on the multifaceted nature of Sharia. The research addresses the issue of misunderstanding Islamic law as rigid and outdated by highlighting its historical adaptability and intellectual richness. The primary objective is to examine how Islamic jurisprudence, particularly through the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah, has shaped legal systems and continues to inform debates on justice, human rights, and legal pluralism. Utilizing a qualitative library research methodology, the study analyzes classical Islamic legal texts, juristic methodologies, and modern interpretations to trace the evolution of Sharia from its foundational sources—the Quran and Hadith—to its integration into systems like the Ottoman and Mughal legal frameworks. The findings reveal that Sharia is not merely a codified set of rules, but a comprehensive ethical system responsive to context through tools such as Ijtihad, Qiyas, and Istislah. Moreover, the influence of Islamic law extends beyond the Muslim world, contributing to discourses on legal pluralism and ethical governance globally. Ultimately, the study demonstrates the continued relevance of Islamic legal tradition in shaping contemporary legal and moral thought in Muslim-majority societies and beyond.

This article examines the contributions of two major schools of Arabic grammar, the Basran and Kufan schools, to the development of the theory of ibdal (phonetic substitution) in the Arabic language. Using a historical and comparative approach, it traces the origins of the concept of ibdal in classical Arabic linguistic tradition and explores how leading grammarians from each school shaped distinct theoretical frameworks. The Basran school typically approached ibdal with a logical and systematic perspective, emphasizing phonetic patterns and structured rules of sound transformation. In contrast, the Kufan school adopted a more flexible stance, prioritizing the realities of spoken Arabic usage even if not always supported by formal phonetic justification. This study highlights not only the methodological differences between the two schools but also their long-lasting impact on the grammatical structure of Arabic. The discussion underlines the intellectual dynamics within Arabic grammar scholarship and encourages further exploration into how classical ibdal theories can inform modern linguistic analysis in Arabic studies.

This study addresses the Islamic reform movement in Egypt as a strategic and progressive response to both Western colonial domination and internal stagnation within the Muslim society. It analyzes the intellectual legacy of key reformers—Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, Muhammad Abduh, and Rashid Rida—who endeavored to reinterpret Islamic tenets through the lens of modern rationalism, scientific advancement, and updated political governance. Employing a historical-analytical perspective, this paper explores how these thinkers initiated transformative changes in religious exegesis, educational renewal, and Islamic legal discourse. The findings indicate that the reform movement was not merely a defensive reaction to modernity but a deliberate effort to revive ijtihad, cleanse Islamic belief from irrational traditions, and stimulate a socio-political revival grounded in Islamic ethical principles. Ultimately, this reformist legacy laid the groundwork for the evolution of modern Islamic thought across the Arab world and remains highly relevant in present-day discussions on Islam and modernity.

Islamic education does not merely focus on the transfer of knowledge but also emphasizes the development of character, morality, and spiritual consciousness. Spiritual values are central in shaping learners who are not only intellectually capable but also faithful and pious. In this context, teachers serve not only as educators but also as spiritual mentors who instill values such as sincerity (ikhlas), trust in God (tawakkal), and divine awareness. This study aims to: 1) Explore the content and themes of the novel Imama Al-Hafidzh by Tri Lyagustina; and 2) Identify the Islamic spiritual values present in the novel and their relevance to contemporary life. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, relying on both primary and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted by collecting, comparing, and synthesizing information to produce a systematic and comprehensive study. The findings reveal that the novel tells the story of a young man who burns his own finger in a forest to resist temptation, symbolizing strong faith and self-control. The novel conveys messages such as steadfastness in principles, resisting worldly pleasures, not neglecting worship, and making the most of life to serve Allah. The spiritual values found in the novel include: faith, sincerity, patience, trust in God, gratitude, acceptance, repentance, Islamic brotherhood, asceticism, positive thinking, humility in worship, consistency, and love.  A brand is one of the most valuable intellectual assets in the business sector, serving not only as a product identity but also as a reflection of reputation and quality. However, the increasing phenomenon of brand infringement indicates the urgent need for stronger and more effective legal protection. Brand infringement brings various negative consequences, including loss of consumer trust, unfair competition, and significant financial losses for brand owners. This study aims to analyze brand infringement from a criminological perspective, identify causal factors, and evaluate the role of law in addressing such violations. The research employs normative legal methods through analysis of statutory regulations, legal and criminological theories, and a literature-based approach using secondary data obtained from books, journals, and legal documents. The findings reveal that criminology provides relevant insights through theories such as Rational Choice Theory, which explains that perpetrators calculate the risks and benefits before committing the violation, and Anomie Strain Theory, which highlights how the inability to achieve economic or social goals legally can drive individuals or groups to commit brand infringement. The classification of violations includes imitation, counterfeiting, misuse, and unlawful exploitation of brand rights. Several causal factors were identified, including weak legal supervision, limited enforcement, and the high consumer demand for cheaper counterfeit products. Furthermore, the study underlines the essential role of the criminal justice system in addressing brand infringement through the enforcement of criminal, civil, and administrative sanctions as regulated under Law Number 20 of 2016 on Trademarks and Geographical Indications. In conclusion, brand infringement is not merely a legal issue but also a criminological problem that requires comprehensive handling through effective law enforcement, stronger supervision, and increased public awareness to protect intellectual property and ensure fair business practices.

This study aims to reconstruct the narrative of the establishment and struggle of the Aliansi Dosen ASN Kemdiktisaintek Seluruh Indonesia (ADAKSI), a collective movement advocating for the welfare of civil servant lecturers (ASN), particularly concerning the delayed disbursement of performance allowances (tukin). Using a narrative inquiry approach, this research traces digital records and real-world actions taken by ASN lecturers across Indonesia, including a symbolic flower board protest in January 2025, an audience with the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, and the organization of the first National Congress (MUNAS I ADAKSI) in May 2025. These narratives are analyzed as expressions of shared grievances, solidarity, and the formation of a collective identity among ASN lecturers who have long lacked institutional representation through official bodies like KORPRI. The findings reveal that ADAKSI functions not only as an advocacy platform for welfare but also as a socio-professional movement driven by intellectual ethics in demanding structural justice. Its actions, demands, and outcomes from MUNAS I mark a significant transition from fragmented protests to an organized national consolidation. The study recommends that policymakers create more inclusive spaces for dialogue with ASN lecturers and formally recognize independent professional organizations as strategic partners in the reform of Indonesia’s higher education system.
