Background: Sepsis is characterized by the body's excessive inflammatory response to infection, potentially leading to life-threatening organ dysfunction. Additionally, sepsis can induce hypotension involving both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory body responses. One non-pharmacological intervention for hypotension is Passive Leg Raising (PLR), where the patient lies flat while the legs are raised at a 45-degree angle. Objective: To determinethe effect of increasing blood pressure in septic shock patients after PLR therapy. Methods: A case study conducted on May 12, 2024, at the Emergency Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, observed patients blood pressure and mean arterial pressure (MAP) every 30 minutes over 1 hour using bedside monitoring before and 30 minutes after vasopressor administration. Results: PLR for 60 minutes increased systolic blood pressure by 8mmHg, diastolic by 7mmHg, and MAP by 8mmHg. Subsequent vasopressor addition for 30 minutes yielded more significant increases: systolic blood pressure rose by 35mmHg, diastolic by 26mmHg, and MAP by 37mmHg. Conclusion: PLR administration increases blood pressure, but combining it with vasopressors proves more effective in septic shock management.

Chronic kidney failure refers to the decline in kidney’s ability to maintain body fluid balance. Hemodialysis, as a kidney function replacement therapy, is needed to remove toxins and control electrolyte fluids in the body. One of the psychological impacts of hemodialysis is anxiety in patients. One way to reduce patient anxiety levels is by conducting murottal Al-Qur’an therapy. This study uses a case report method and was conducted in the Hemodialysis room of PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta from May 2 to May 9, 2024. Two people with a diagnosis of chronic kidney failure were respondents in this study. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) was used as an instrument in this study, which was conducted before and after intervention. The results of the study showed that the respondents’ anxiety scores were in the moderate category (24 and 23) and changed to the mild category with a score of 14 after the application of therapy. This therapy has proven effective in reducing anxiety levels in patients with chronic kidney failure who are undergoing hemodialysis therapy.

The month of Ramadan is a special time for Muslims to worship, erase sins, and gain the rewards and pleasure of Allah SWT. Shaum or fasting, the primary worship during this month, involves abstaining from things that invalidate the fast. However, fasting is not intended to be difficult, as stated in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqarah: 185, which emphasizes ease rather than hardship in fasting. Besides its spiritual aspects, fasting also has health benefits, such as helping patients with obesity and heart disease. For patients with chronic kidney disease who require hemodialysis, fasting can be particularly challenging. Hemodialysis is a life-saving method that involves cleaning the blood outside the body. In Islam, there are principles of ushul fiqh that provide rukhsah or legal concessions for those who face difficulties in fulfilling religious obligations due to certain conditions. However, if a kidney failure patient insists on fasting despite having been granted rukhsah, this is known as azimah. This study aims to explore the status of azimah for hemodialysis patients who choose to fast from an Islamic perspective. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and in-depth interviews with fiqh experts, this research seeks to understand the legal implications and medical conditions involved. The results are expected to provide clearer insights into the practice of fasting for hemodialysis patients within the context of Islamic jurisprudence.

Tempe is the Indonesian people's favorite food. Tempeh, which is liked or commonly consumed, is a type of food made from yellow soybeans. These soybeans are fermented using the mold Rhizopus oligosporus. The results of this fermentation contain protein that is easily digested by the human body, making tempeh a food that is highly recommended for consumption in order to fulfill each individual's nutrition. However, this fermentation process is not so easy, it requires certain conditions. This is something that is often overlooked, so it is necessary to carry out research activities aimed at analyzing the protein content in plastic packaging. This protein content analysis activity uses the biuret method equipped with UV-Vis spectrophotometry with the standard protein solution used is BSA (Bovine Serum Albumin) solution. The measurements carried out provided information on the protein content of tempeh in plastic packaging of 3.739 µg/mL

Fracture is one of the causes of disability caused by trauma due to an accident. Fractures can be caused by direct trauma, for example a collision or blow that results in a broken bone. Splinting is an action carried out as first aid for musculoskeletal injuries so that the injured body part can rest, avoid shifting of the injured bone and reduce the level of pain. By using a splint, the skeletal muscles that are experiencing spasm will slowly relax, thereby reducing the level of pain and holding parts of the body from shifting and reducing pain. To determine the application of splint therapy to reduce the pain level of femur fracture patients in IGD at RSUD Tidar Magelang. The research method used a case report with the nursing intervention of providing splints on the pain level of fracture patients.
