This article examines the roles and applications of various types of psychological tests in personality assessment, particularly contrasting projective tests with objective tests. Psychological tests are not intended to determine pass or fail outcomes, but rather to gain a deep understanding of an individual’s psychological aspects. Projective tests, such as the Rorschach Inkblot Test and the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), are utilized to reveal latent personality traits through ambiguous stimuli. In contrast, objective tests like the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) are designed to produce consistent and quantifiable data. This study employed a library research method, reviewing both primary and secondary sources to provide a comprehensive overview. In counseling practice, the choice of psychological test depends on the assessment goals and the client's conditions. The article emphasizes the necessity for professional competence and ethical considerations, including cultural sensitivity and the ability to accurately interpret test results.

Social deixis highlights status differences, emotional distance, and levels of formality in character interactions. Meanwhile, discourse deixis serves to maintain cohesion and continuity within the text by referring to elements mentioned elsewhere in the narrative. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through reading and note-taking techniques. The findings show that Intanera uses various types of deixis strategically to enrich narrative structure, express psychological conflict, and establish social relationships and emotional meaning throughout the novel. The purpose of this study is to analyze the psychological dynamics of the character Keke in the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan using the literary psychology approach developed by Sigmund Freud. The main focus of this study lies in the main aspects of personality possessed by humans that have been stated in the psychoanalytic theory approach of Sigmund Freud. These three approaches include the idea of ego and super ego, which in it represent the basic structure in the development of human personality. The results of this analysis indicate that the character Keke has a strong ID which is reflected through the instinctive drive to survive and avoid the suffering that comes from the cancer he has. The aspect of the elder brother's ego is seen from his rational attitude in facing the reality of life, such as in his decision to continue going to school and undergoing chemotherapy for his recovery. While the last aspect, namely the super ego, is stated to be more prominent than other aspects, the super ego aspect possessed by Keke stands out in the form of moral toughness, religious values and social responsibility, for example when he tells his family not to be sad and not to sacrifice all his wealth for the treatment of his illness. These three aspects of personality interact with each other and form a balanced personality between each other even though they are in a bad condition. Through the psychoanalytic approach of Sigmund Freud, the character of Keke in the novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan, the character of Keke is stated as a character who can inspire and has very high moral values. The analysis of this novel also proves that the psychoanalytic theory owned by Sigmund Freud is very effective in exploring the inner depths of a character and can understand the emotional and spiritual complexity in dealing with the suffering felt by a character in his story.

East Africa has great potential in the tourism sector, but is vulnerable to the threat of terrorism that can hinder economic growth and regional stability. This research aims to analyze the impact of terrorism on tourism development, especially in Kenya as a case study. The research uses a Library Research method with a descriptive qualitative approach based on narrative and contextual. The theory used is the tactical definition of terrorism by C.A.J Coady which emphasizes violence against civilians for political interests and Esmailzadeh's perspective which states the adaptive and global nature of terrorism. The results of the analysis show that terror attacks, such as those that occurred in several countries in the East African region, do not only cause physical casualties but also psychological and symbolic impacts in the form of declining tourist numbers, disruption of security perceptions and a negative image of the destination in the eyes of the international community. This study emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach: hard security, inclusive economic development, and soft power-based promotion. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of theoretical-philosophical approaches and empirical data to assess the linkages between security and tourism in conflict-prone areas, which have rarely been studied in depth in the East African context.

Psychological tests are important tools used to uncover various aspects of an individual's personality according to the needs of psychological assessment. One widely used form of psychological testing is the personality test, which is generally divided into two main types: objective and projective. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of both types of tests in uncovering aspects of an individual's personality by comparing their respective advantages and disadvantages. The research method used was a qualitative method with a literature review approach, namely through a review of various scientific articles, research journals, and relevant literature sources discussing the use of objective and projective personality tests. The results show that each type of test has distinct characteristics and functions. Objective tests are considered more reliable, efficient, and easy to interpret, while projective tests provide a more in-depth picture of an individual's personality dynamics but require more subjective interpretation. Furthermore, this study also analyzes the ideal conditions and timing for use of both types of tests and presents case studies of the application of each test in the context of psychological assessment.

Every human being inherently has the hope of living a normal and prosperous life, both physically and psychologically. However, in reality, not all individuals are born with complete physical abilities. Some are born with physical disabilities that limit their ability to perform daily activities. This condition often gives rise to various challenges, especially in the social sphere, as faced by individuals with physical disabilities (tuna daksa). This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and social support with the psychological well-being of persons with physical disabilities in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The population consisted of 37 individuals with physical disabilities, and the total sampling technique was employed. Data collection was conducted using three psychological scales: the psychological well-being scale, the self-esteem scale, and the social support scale. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that self-esteem and social support simultaneously had a significant relationship with psychological well-being. Partially, both self-esteem and social support were also found to have significant relationships with psychological well-being. This indicates that psychological well-being in individuals with physical disabilities is influenced by internal factors such as self-esteem, as well as external factors such as social support. The findings of this study can serve as a basis for the development of appropriate psychological and social interventions to improve the quality of life of persons with physical disabilities.

This research aims to analyze the psychological aspects of the main character, Otto Anderson, in the movie A Man Called Otto (2022), using Bernhardt’s (1953) theory of psychology. The study identifies five key aspects of human motivation reflected in Otto’s character: appetites, wants, emotions, feelings and attitudes, and social motives. This research uses a qualitative method and applies descriptive analysis to examine the character's psychological behavior. Data were collected using the documentation method by selecting specific scenes from the film and classifying them based on Bernhardt’s categories. The analysis reveals that Otto’s behavior is deeply influenced by his psychological state, especially in response to the loss of his wife. Each psychological aspect demonstrates how his internal motivations are shaped by grief and gradually shift toward emotional healing and renewed engagement with others. This study contributes to the understanding of character development through psychological analysis in film narratives.

Humans are not merely thinking beings but also emotional and spiritual creatures. However, modern education tends to prioritize the cognitive dimension and academic achievement, while psychological and spiritual aspects are often neglected. This imbalance has resulted in the emergence of intellectually capable generations who may lack emotional maturity and moral integrity. Therefore, an educational approach that incorporates philosophical, psychological, and Islamic values is essential in shaping a holistic human being. This study aims to analyze the nature of humans from a psychological perspective and its implications for designing holistic, learner-centered education. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data collection was carried out through documentary studies by reading and reviewing written sources such as scientific books, journal articles, and other academic literature relevant to the research topic. The data were analyzed using content analysis, which includes identifying themes, categorizing key ideas, and drawing conceptual meanings from the collected data. The results show that from a psychological perspective, humans possess innate potentials that develop through specific stages, are influenced by environmental factors, and have a fundamental need for self-actualization. Humanistic, cognitive, and behaviorist psychological approaches all contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of human nature. The findings reinforce the notion that education focused solely on cognitive development is insufficient for shaping a well-rounded personality. Therefore, the education system must be oriented toward balanced development of the cognitive, affective, socialand spiritual dimensions of learners.
