This study examines the effectiveness of storytelling as a pedagogical approach in enhancing elementary school students’ understanding and application of Buddhist moral values, including Metta (loving-kindness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (sympathetic joy), and Upekkha (equanimity). Using a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments, the research compared the outcomes of students taught through storytelling with those taught using conventional methods. Statistical analysis demonstrated that the storytelling group exhibited a significant improvement in moral comprehension (p < 0.05), aligning with Vygotsky’s (1978) social learning theory and Bruner’s (1986) narrative cognition framework. Qualitative observations revealed increased student engagement, empathy, and collaboration within the storytelling group. Feedback from students and teachers confirmed that storytelling facilitated deeper moral understanding and active participation. The findings suggest that integrating storytelling into Buddhist education curricula enhances moral learning outcomes. While the study acknowledges limitations such as a small sample size and short intervention period, it highlights the need for further research to explore long-term effects and innovative storytelling techniques for value-based education.

Fiqh learning at MA Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta faces challenges, particularly in understanding the Fathul Qarib Al-Mujib book, which is written in Arabic. This difficulty is more pronounced among students without a pesantren background, affecting their academic performance. Observations indicate that only 60% of students achieve learning mastery, while 40% score below the minimum competency standard (KKM) of 80. To address this issue, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of PPT Canva as a learning medium in improving the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students. This research employs a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consists of two classes: the experimental class, which uses PPT Canva, and the control class, which does not. Data were collected through written tests (pretest and posttest), observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the t-test and N-Gain test with SPSS Windows 25. The findings reveal that using PPT Canva significantly improves learning outcomes, with a significance level of 0.032 (<0.05). The average pretest score for the experimental class was 54.14, increasing to 84.34 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.6469 (moderate category). The percentage of learning mastery increased from 0% to 85.71%. Thus, it can be concluded that using PPT Canva is effective in enhancing Fiqh learning outcomes for tenth-grade students at MA Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta.

This research focuses on assessing the efficacy of a method that integrates Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) with Decision Trees for the detection of phishing URLs. Phishing represents a major cyber threat, where cybercriminals attempt to deceive individuals into disclosing sensitive information via fraudulent websites. As the frequency of phishing attacks continues to rise, there is a pressing need for effective detection and prevention strategies. In this investigation, a dataset comprising both phishing and legitimate URLs was utilized to train a CNN-Decision Tree model. The training phase includes feature extraction from URLs using CNN, which excels at identifying intricate patterns within the data, followed by classification through Decision Trees, recognized for their capacity to deliver straightforward and comprehensible interpretations of classification outcomes. The model's performance was evaluated across nine distinct scenarios to assess its effectiveness under varying conditions. The results indicated that the hybrid CNN-Decision Tree model achieved a precision rate of 94%, a recall of 90%, and an F1-Score of 92%, with an overall accuracy of 93%. These findings suggest that the model is not only proficient in identifying phishing URLs but also maintains a commendable balance between precision and recall. This research highlights that the synergy of CNN and Decision Trees can serve as a potent solution for phishing URL detection, significantly contributing to the advancement of enhanced cybersecurity systems.
