Product quality is a key factor in enhancing a company's competitiveness. PT Nugraha Potong Tekuk, a producer of MPGG products, experienced a significant increase in the defect rate, reaching 11% of total production during the period from June 24 to July 16, 2024. This study aims to analyze the defect rate, identify the main causes, and provide improvement recommendations. The study follows the Six Sigma methodology, including the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) phases. Based on P-Chart analysis, the production process is within statistical control limits, but the defect rate still requires improvement. Two main types of defects were identified: unevenness and size defects, each accounting for 50% of the total defects. Fishbone diagram analysis revealed four main contributing factors: people, machines, materials, and environment. The people factor includes lack of operator skills and operator fatigue, while the machine factor covers worn-out tools and uncalibrated measuring instruments. The material factor is related to low-quality raw materials, and the environmental factor includes poor lighting and unstable work surfaces. Improvement recommendations include operator training, routine machine maintenance, quality control of raw materials, and improvement of the work environment. This study is expected to help PT Nugraha Potong Tekuk enhance product quality, reduce defect rates, and maintain competitiveness in the market.

The energy crisis and global warming are driving the importance of energy efficiency in building design. An ideal building not only prioritizes aesthetics and function, but also energy efficiency as well as comfort and safety for its occupants. In Indonesia, the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) plays a role in promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable architectural practices. One popular method for energy efficiency is the use of eggcrate, which is a shading system in the form of lattices that reduces the intensity of sunlight, thereby lowering indoor temperatures and reducing energy use for cooling. The use of heat-reflective glass is also common in energy-efficient building design, because it reflects solar radiation and reduces incoming heat without sacrificing natural light. This reduces the workload of the air conditioning system, thereby increasing energy efficiency. According to Asih (2012), environmental control in buildings is greatly influenced by the use of glass and shading elements. Building façades, including glass areas, play an important role in energy conservation by reducing incoming heat conduction. In addition, glass also influences natural lighting and has positive psychological effects, while maintaining comfort and energy efficiency in buildings.

The presence of heavy metals in waste is one of the variables that can pollute and damage the environment. Lead is one of the chemical contents that can be found in hospital liquid waste. Hospital liquid waste comes from work unit processes throughout the hospital environment which contains dangerous chemicals so it needs to be processed before being discharged into the environment. Research has been carried out using the coagulation-flocculation method using sugar palm seeds as a biocoagulant. The aim of this research is to find out how the palm seed coagulant mass influences in reducing lead (Pb) levels. hospital wastewater with the addition of variations in coagulant mass, namely 0.3%, 0.4%, 0.5%, 0.6% and 0.7%. From the filtrate resulting from coagulation-flocculation which was then analyzed based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.68 of 2016 concerning Domestic Wastewater Quality Standards, from the results of this research it is known that sugar palm seeds as a biocoagulant are able to reduce the most optimal PB concentration when the coagulant concentration is added to 0.6%.

Dengue fever, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases remain significant health problems and challenges in various regions, especially in rural areas. Dengue fever (DBD) is caused by the dengue virus types 1-4, which are transmitted through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. The majority of the residents of Karya Mukti Village work as rubber tappers. They usually start their activities early in the morning or even before dawn. However, mosquitoes are most active in the morning and late afternoon, making the local community highly vulnerable to mosquito bites. To address this issue, the people of Karya Mukti Village still widely use mosquito repellents available on the market, which contain harmful chemicals that pose risks to both health and the environment if used over the long term. Therefore, this community service initiative aims to conduct outreach and hands-on training on the use of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) as a natural mosquito repellent alternative. This program is carried out using a socialization and product-making approach through participatory engagement, where Dasawisma (women's community groups) are encouraged to identify their needs and challenges, as well as appropriate solutions to address them. By involving Dasawisma members in the learning and production process of natural mosquito repellents, it is hoped that they will gain better knowledge and skills in making natural mosquito repellents.

The shipping industry faces challenges in reducing environmental impact and increasing operational efficiency. Among them are the expansion tanks on ship engines which play an important role in maintaining the pressure and water quality of the engine cooling system, which is still run manually on some ships. This can result in the risk of engine damage due to overheating or unstable pressure. Manual water filling that requires crew supervision can cause operational instability. This research designed a prototype of an automatic water filling system for expansion tanks, using microcontroller-based automation technology and an Internet of things system to make monitoring easier. This system aims to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of engine damage, thereby supporting the sustainability of ship operations in the future. In the trials that have been carried out, this tool is able to operate the expansion tank filling automatically and efficiently. The distance sensor used has high accuracy with a largest error of 1.6%, and an average error of 0.01%. Integration with the Internet of Things system can run well and reliably with 100% success and latency of 0.5 – 1 second. The system's overall success rate is 80%. So the system can be used in real working conditions
