This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in the efforts made by PAI teachers to develop students' critical thinking abilities so that students become more active in the learning process. This research uses qualitative methods with a type of field study (field research) through a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis was carried out according to experts, namely Milles and Hubberm, through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and researchers used triagulation as a form of checking the validity of the data obtained. The results of the research show that the critical thinking abilities of class VIII students at SMPN 40 Takengon are good, this can be seen when students are active in asking questions and fulfill the indicator criteria contained in critical thinking. Efforts made by PAI teachers to develop students' critical thinking skills include teachers asking students stimulating questions through a random system, secondly giving opportunities to students, thirdly using group/collaboration methods. Supporting factors for PAI teachers in developing critical thinking skills are cellphones, training/workshops, and teacher creativity. The inhibiting factors include limited time, different student abilities, creating a conducive atmosphere, and limited facilities and infrastructure.

CV. Rasyid is a business unit specializing in the production of ecoprints. Currently, one of the most sought-after clothing colors by consumers is burnt coral red. However, CV. Rasyid has been unable to meet this demand due to challenges in the production process, specifically the deterioration of the color during the fixation stage. To address this issue, the community service team from the Industrial Engineering Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Gombong (Unimugo) provided facilitation and support. The program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to produce burnt coral red for ecoprints using secang dye. The activities include preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The implementation process was conducted with guidance on color extraction, mordanting, design printing, and fixation. Monitoring results indicate that CV. Rasyid successfully carried out the burnt coral red ecoprint production process independently without significant issues. While the colors produced may vary slightly, this is not a concern, as such variations are a unique characteristic of ecoprint products.

In the era of globalization that is full of challenges, the ability to think critically is becoming increasingly relevant. This research aims to examine how the integration of the trilogy of soul aspects (rasa, cipta, and karsa) in the learning process can foster critical thinking character in the younger generation. Through literature review and case studies, this research will identify learning strategies that are effective in stimulating students' critical thinking skills, as well as analyze their influence on overall character development. The results of the research are expected to contribute to the development of a more holistic curriculum and teaching practices, so as to produce a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has a strong and competitive character. The formation of critical thinking character does not only involve the teaching and learning process in the classroom, but also needs to be balanced with real experiences outside the academic environment. Through a holistic approach, it is hoped that the younger generation will be able to develop critical thinking skills that are not only useful in the context of education, but also in everyday life. Education based on this trilogy of aspects of the soul will provide a strong foundation for young people to face global challenges and contribute positively to society. This trilogy includes intellectual understanding, emotional and values development, and practical skills that support each other. By integrating these three aspects, education will not only shape individuals who are intellectually intelligent, but also have social awareness and adaptability in a changing society. Character education has become a central issue in education today. This research proposes that integrating the trilogy of aspects of the soul can be an effective approach in building critical thinking character in the younger generation. By stimulating the trilogy aspects in a balanced manner, it is expected that they will be able to develop critical thinking skills that are not only logic-based, but also based on moral values and empathy. This research will test this hypothesis through experiments or case studies at an educational institution.

Higher education plays an important role in creating quality human resources in the future. As university students, our main task is not only to achieve academic achievements, but also to form strong, competent characters and be ready to face global challenges. Building a generation that is intelligent, characterized and competent as well as a process of self-maturation is an important step to prepare individuals who excel in science with integrity, leadership and good social skills. The intelligent generation has knowledge and skills according to the times, while the generation with character is able to integrate moral values, ethics and empathy in everyday life. In the context of higher education, this process is not only related to the formal curriculum, but also non-academic experiences that play a role in the personal growth of each student. The process of self-maturation in higher education trains students to be more independent, critical, and have a broad outlook on life and be responsive to various social problems. In Indonesia's correctional system, correctional institutions play a vital role, particularly in educating offenders, including juvenile offenders. Juvenile offenders are individuals under 17 years of age or those who do not yet possess an ID card, commonly referred to as children. Since children are in their developmental stage and are vulnerable to environmental influences that may worsen their psychosocial condition, rehabilitation often poses significant challenges for them. Therefore, correctional institutions are responsible for providing training that encompasses rehabilitation, social reintegration, and punishment. In this context, the rehabilitation process aims to fulfill the rights of children in correctional facilities, including access to formal and non-formal education, life skills training, and psychological counseling. The objective of this training is to equip children with the necessary skills to reintegrate into society after serving their sentence. Moreover, correctional institutions also play a role in fostering a sense of responsibility and self-esteem in juvenile offenders, enabling them to become active and positive members of society. The purpose of this study is to examine how correctional institutions contribute to the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders and the challenges faced in implementing rehabilitation programs that align with children's rights. The research findings reveal that, despite efforts by correctional institutions to implement various rehabilitation programs, such as education, skills training, and psychological counseling, there is still much to be improved.

The research aims to determine the effect of the ethnoscience approach through the problem-based learning model on the chemical literacy skills of Grade XI students in the reaction rate material at SMA Negeri 7 Gorontalo. The research employs a quasi experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of Grade XI IPA ( Natural Science) students from SMA Negeri 7 Gorontalo. The instrument used in this research was an essay test. Data processing and analysis were conducted using Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS version 16. The hypothesis test results on students’ post-test data using the Mann-Whitney test at a significance level of  α = 0.05  showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05 (0,002 < 0,05). Therefore, H1 was confirmed, and H0 was rejected. The N- Gain test results also indicated that the ethnoscience approach through the problem-based learning model  was moderately effective in improving students’ chemical literacy skills in reaction rate material, with the experimental class achieving an N-Gain score percentage of 57.13% (moderately effective category), while the control class achieved a percentage of 31.42% (ineffective category). In conclusion, the ethnoscience approach through the problem-based learning model significantly affects students’ chemical literacy skills in reaction rate material.
