This research is motivated by the decision of the Kalianda District Court Number 20/Pid.Sus-Anak/2023/PN Kla which imposed a sentence to return the child who committed the crime of theft with aggravation to the parents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basis for the judge's considerations legally, philosophically, and sociologically in making this decision. The research method uses a normative legal approach with a study of court decision documents and analysis of related literature. The findings show that legally, the judge considered the provisions in the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law which prioritizes the principles of restorative justice and child protection. Philosophically, considerations are based on the child's right to grow and develop in a family environment and the importance of recovery, not retaliation. Sociologically, the judge pays attention to the family's condition, the child's social environment, and the recommendations of the Community Guidance Officer who assesses that the child can still be fostered under the supervision of parents. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a multidimensional approach in handling children's cases, so that court decisions not only fulfill legal aspects, but also support the growth and development and social reintegration of children in society.

Parental divorce causes the child to lose the love and affection of his parents and hinders them in their psychological development. This study describes and analyzes the psychological struggles experienced by three children who lost their father's role after divorce. All three experience similar inner conflicts: feelings of loss, neglect, and emotional division, as well as confusion in choosing to live with their father or mother. This study uses a qualitative case study approach and uses participatory observation and in-depth interviews for data collection. The results showed that children experienced conflicts about loyalty, emotional stress, and difficulty in reshaping their self-identity in a changing family environment. Children's mental and social instability is exacerbated by the loss of the father figure both physically and emotionally. The study emphasizes how important it is for parents to remain actively involved with their child even after they have divorced to maintain their emotional stability and provide ongoing psychological support. These findings are expected to be a reference for education practitioners, counselors, and parents in dealing with the psychological impact of divorce on children.

The exploitation of children by parents through forced begging is a serious violation of children's rights protected by national law. This study aims to analyze legal protection for children based on Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection and the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP). The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory approach. The analysis shows that the state firmly prohibits the exploitation of children and imposes criminal sanctions on parents who force their children to beg. This protection includes both preventive and repressive measures. The Penal Code also strengthens child protection through provisions regarding criminal acts against minors. However, the implementation faces obstacles such as economic conditions, cultural factors, and lack of supervision. Strengthening legal enforcement and raising public awareness are necessary to ensure that child protection is effectively carried out. This study concludes that although legal instruments are available, concrete steps are still needed to eliminate child exploitation practices within the family environment.

This research explores the correlation between parenting styles and the level of independence among children with special needs attending Special Needs Schools (SLB). Parenting plays a pivotal role in shaping children’s behavioral development and functional abilities, particularly for those requiring more tailored and supportive approaches. Employing a quantitative method with a causal-comparative design, data were obtained through a structured questionnaire distributed to parents of children aged 7–12 with special needs. The results indicate a significant positive correlation between the authoritative (democratic) parenting style and children’s independence. In contrast, authoritarian and permissive styles showed limited influence. These findings underscore the importance of a balanced parenting model that blends guidance with autonomy, as it fosters greater independence in children's daily functioning. The study is expected to contribute to the formulation of family support initiatives and inclusive education policies that strengthen the role of parents as key educators.

The phenomenon of victim blaming remains a serious issue in various cases of violence, including family conflicts. Children who experience physical, psychological, or neglect-related abuse often face not only violence but also social stigma that blames them for their circumstances. From a victimology perspective, victim blaming against children in family conflicts occurs due to factors such as patriarchal culture, power imbalances within the family, and a lack of legal awareness regarding children's rights. This study employs a normative juridical method with a qualitative approach to examine the phenomenon of victim blaming against children in family conflicts based on victimology theory. The findings reveal that victim blaming in family conflicts manifests in various forms, including justification of violence against children, minimization of the harm caused, and denial of the perpetrator's role. The psychological and social impacts of this phenomenon are extensive, leading to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and difficulties in forming healthy social relationships. To address this issue, active involvement from families, educational institutions, and child protection organizations is crucial in providing education and advocacy for children's rights. Additionally, victimology perspectives can be utilized to develop policies that support victims, prevent the recurrence of family violence, and minimize the practice of victim blaming against children.

The Influence of Dry Bulk Cargo Discharge Activities on the Occurrence of Short Cargo at PT. Terminal Trluk Lamong Dry bulk unloading activities using grab ship unloaders (GSU) and conveyors often result in an unloading process that differs from the specified loading plan, resulting in a quantity of dry bulk cargo that is lower than stated in the document, known as short cargo. This research uses an associative quantitative method to determine the relationship between loading duration (X1), cargo volume (X2), and short cargo (Y), as well as the simultaneous influence of each factor on short cargo. Multiple linear regression data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis, and the data are processed using the SPSS version 27 program. The results showed that unloading duration and cargo volume have a significant, though partial, effect on short cargo. They have an influence of 176.5% and 0.6%, respectively. The variables of loading duration and cargo volume cause short cargo to occur simultaneously. Thus, each factor has an 85.2% simultaneous influence on short cargo, while the remaining 14.8% is influenced by factors outside the scope of the study.

Kupang City is the capital of East Nusa Tenggara province which is inseparable from the case of rape of a father against a biological child. There are several cases including a minor being a victim of sexual violence. Tragically, a student of a junior high school in Kupang became a victim of rape committed by her biological father. The case of adultery committed by the father to his biological child was handled by the PPA Unit of the Kupang City Police Satreskrim in 2019. The results of this study show that (1) the causative factor for children as victims of rape by biological fathers in Kupang City is the influence of lack of religious understanding in the family environment that causes the perpetrator to commit crimes. The actions carried out by the perpetrator were carried out repeatedly without thinking about the mental and physical influence of the victim. For this reason, it is hoped that religious understanding can be applied in the family environment so that it becomes a moral benchmark for one's life as well as the cases researched by the author. (2)) The impact on children as victims of rape by biological fathers in Kupang City is the physical and social impact experienced by the victim after the incident that befell the victim. (3) Legal Protection Efforts for Children as Victims of Rape by Biological Fathers in Kupang City In particular, Indonesia has its own law regarding the protection of children, namely Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning Child Protection. In Articles 81 and 82 of the Law on Child Protection, it is stipulated that the perpetrator of sexual abuse of children is sentenced to a maximum of 15 years in prison.
