This literature review examines the effectiveness of Brain Gym as an intervention to improve children's learning concentration. Brain Gym is a series of physical movements developed to enhance brain function. Several studies in the last decade have suggested that Brain Gym activities can positively influence children's attention span and cognitive performance, particularly in educational settings. Through a review of 20 empirical studies published between 2015 and 2024, this study finds consistent evidence of improved focus and academic engagement among children who participated in regular Brain Gym exercises. The findings suggest that Brain Gym can serve as a complementary approach to conventional teaching strategies, especially for elementary-level learners. Implications for educators and future research are discussed.

Economics education plays a crucial role in building students' understanding of managing limited resources, both on an individual and societal scale. However, isolated approaches to economics education often make it difficult for students to connect economic concepts with real life. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating economics education with other subjects, such as mathematics, geography, and history, to create relevant and meaningful learning experiences. This approach aligns with the principles of the Kurikulum Merdeka, which emphasizes student-centered and life-relevant learning. This research employs the literature review method, involving the collection, analysis, and synthesis of information from various relevant sources, including books, journals, and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that integrating economics education can enhance students' conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and learning motivation. Moreover, this approach encourages students to recognize interdisciplinary connections, resulting in holistic comprehension. However, the implementation of such integration faces several challenges, including teacher readiness, time constraints, and limited supporting learning resources. Therefore, this study recommends the development of a more flexible curriculum, teacher training, and the creation of relevant teaching materials. The results are expected to provide insights for the development of innovative and holistic teaching methods in secondary education.

This study is founded on the issues identified, specifically the dearth of learning resources, the LKPD's lack of training in mathematical critical thinking, and the fact that the LKPD that is currently available was created by educators who did not follow a scientific methodology, which has led to students' low levels of mathematical critical thinking. In order to educate mathematical critical thinking skills in class VIII MTsS Asy-Syarif Koto Laweh for the 2023–2024 academic year, this project intends to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach that satisfies the requirements of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Using Sugiyono's development paradigm, this study is called research and development, or R&D. Student answer surveys, mathematical critical thinking ability assessments, and validation sheets are the equipment. The techniques for data analysis that are employed are validity analysis, practicality analysis, analysis of effectiveness. Based on development study conducted, LKPD is obtained with a validity level of 84.2%, of which 82.33% are on extremely practical criteria, 78.94% are on effective criteria, and 82.33% are on highly valid criteria for the level of practicality. We may conclude that the LKPD Asy-Syarif Koto Laweh created, which is based on the Scientific Approach to Train Mathematical Critical Thinking Skills in Class VIII MTsS, satisfies the requirements of being valid, practical, and efficient.

Television plays a crucial role in shaping society's understanding of Islam through various religious programs broadcasted. As a mass media platform with wide reach, television can deliver Islamic teachings in an engaging and easily comprehensible manner for people from different backgrounds. This study aims to analyze how television contributes to enhancing Islamic understanding, the types of programs that have an impact, and the extent of its effectiveness compared to other learning sources. The research employs a qualitative analysis method with a case study approach on several television stations that regularly air Islamic programs. The findings indicate that well-packaged Islamic programs, such as interactive sermons, Quranic interpretation studies, and religious discussions, effectively improve public understanding of Islam. However, challenges remain in delivering information, including interpretative bias and limited direct interaction with the audience. Therefore, more innovative and collaborative strategies are needed to enhance television’s effectiveness in fostering Islamic understanding within society.

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to write short stories of students in the Indonesian Language Subject of Class V at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Labuang Baji before using the suggestopedia method, Jeneponto Regency and to determine the ability to write short stories of students in the Indonesian Language Subject of Class V at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Labuang Baji after using the suggestopedia method. The main problem in this study is that students are less active in learning and tend to accept whatever is conveyed by the teacher then remain silent and reluctant to express questions and opinions, so the author uses the Suggestopedia method, and the results of learning to write short stories of class V at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Labuang Baji are effective after using the Suggestopedia method. This type of research is an experimental research using the "One Group Pretest Posttest Design" design. The population of this study were all fifth grade students totaling 34 people. The sample of the study was fifth grade students at the UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Labuang Baji totaling 34 people. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, giving tests and documentation. The data collected in the study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the ability to write short stories between students who received short story writing learning using the suggestopedia method and students who received short story writing learning without using the suggestopedia method. This is indicated by the results of the t-test calculation obtained df 62, p value = 0.001 <0.05. Learning to write short stories is more effective using the suggestopedia method than learning to write short stories without using the suggestopedia method. This is indicated by the average pretest score of 65.17 and the average posttest score of 84.08 which means an increase of 18.91.

In the learning process, students often encounter various obstacles. One common challenge is their difficulty in understanding the material presented by teachers, especially when the explanations are too abstract. To address this issue, appropriate instructional media are needed to help achieve learning objectives. The use of such media can support teachers in delivering content more effectively. As science and technology continue to evolve, instructional media must also adapt to create a learning environment that aligns with current developments. One form of media that can be utilized is educational video. This study aims to explore the use of video media in delivering instructional content. The method used is a literature review of previous research findings. The results indicate that video-based learning media can serve as an effective tool for teachers to present learning materials in a more engaging and comprehensible way.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Drops app in improving Japanese vocabulary acquisition among beginners. Based on the theory of cognitivism, the study used a descriptive qualitative method with a sample of 21 subjects who answered 11 questions through a Google Form survey. Results showed that the use of Drops significantly increased the average vocabulary score by 43 % (from 28.5 to 40.7), which was influenced by the integration of gamification features and spaced repetition mechanism in the application. The majority of respondents (76 %) reported high satisfaction with ease of use, learning motivation, and effectiveness of visual illustrations, consistent with previous research on audiovisual and gamification-based mobile apps. However, about 24 % of respondents recorded medium to low scores on motivational aspects and interface appearance, indicating the need for UX/UI enhancements to expand adoption. Demographic statistics revealed the average age of respondents to be 18.38 years (Q1=17; median=18; Q3=20), confirming that teenagers and pre-adults are the main group of Drops users. The findings provide recommendations for both language education practitioners and app developers to optimize design and features to maximize vocabulary learning effectiveness.
