The many negative effects on the use of chemical-based medicine have made researchers increasingly interested in looking for alternative natural ingredients that have high therapeutic potential and minimal side effects. One of the plants that is often used as a medicinal ingredient is cardamom (Amomum cardamomum L.), which comes from the Zingiberaceae family. Cardamom has been widely used by the community as an aromatic, carmimental (reducing gas in the stomach), cough medicine, mouth freshener, and various other traditional medicines. The content of bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins in cardamom is believed to play an important role in providing pharmacological effects. This study aims to analyze the bioactivity level of toxicity of cardamom leaf ethanol extract against shrimp larvae Artemia salina L. using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method and determine the LC₅₀ value as a toxicity parameter. The research method used an experimental quantitative approach with six treatment concentrations, namely 25 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 500 ppm, and 1000 ppm, as well as one negative control. Each treatment was replicated five times to get accurate results. A total of 350 Artemia salina larvae were used, with 10 larvae for each concentration test. Larval mortality was calculated after 24 hours of treatment to determine the potential toxicity of the extract. In addition to laboratory research, community service programs are carried out to increase coastal communities' understanding of the use of cardamom leaves for pond shrimp larvae. This education is important because the results of the research are expected to be the basis for the use of natural materials that are safer, more environmentally friendly, and sustainable in the management of shrimp ponds.

Qur’anic literacy plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character in Islamic educational institutions, particularly at TPQ and RTQ. This study aims to analyze how Qur’anic literacy contributes to strengthening children’s moral, spiritual, and social values in both formal and non-formal educational contexts. Employing a qualitative approach through an extensive literature review, the research synthesizes findings from previous studies on Qur’an-based character education, emphasizing the multidimensional nature of literacy that goes beyond reading and memorization. Qur’anic literacy encompasses understanding, internalizing, and applying Qur’anic teachings in daily behavior and decision-making processes. The results indicate that several interrelated factors influence this process, including habituation through regular practice, exemplary role models provided by parents, teachers, and community leaders, as well as the role of the social environment in reinforcing values. Furthermore, constructive implementation of rewards and sanctions is found to be effective in sustaining children’s motivation and discipline. Early habituation of reading, memorizing, and reflecting on the Qur’an has been proven to nurture positive traits such as responsibility, honesty, empathy, and social awareness. The study highlights that Qur’anic literacy is not only a pedagogical tool but also a holistic instrument of character formation that aligns spiritual values with modern educational challenges. These findings affirm the necessity of optimizing Qur’anic literacy programs through synergy among families, schools, and communities, ensuring that children grow into religious, virtuous, and resilient individuals. Ultimately, Qur’anic literacy serves as a foundation for building a generation that is intellectually capable, spiritually grounded, and socially responsible in contributing positively to society and addressing global challenges.

Stunting remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia. One of the government’s efforts to address this problem is through the exclusive breastfeeding program. However, the achievement of this program is still below expectations. This community service activity was conducted at the Langkak Village Hall, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency, using lectures and discussions as methods. The participants consisted of 27 individuals, including pregnant women and mothers with toddlers. The activity took place on Thursday, August 8, 2024, for a duration of 90 minutes, and was attended by 17 participants. During the discussion/Q&A session, seven participants actively asked questions related to exclusive breastfeeding and shared the challenges they encountered in practicing it. The results indicated the need for a more structured strategy to enhance understanding and implementation of exclusive breastfeeding within the community. One proposed strategy is the establishment of the “Family Loves Baby” class, based on a SWOT analysis approach. This class would involve one family member from each household with an infant aged 0–6 months, serving as a support system for exclusive breastfeeding. Additionally, Posyandu cadres are expected to play an active role in providing education and raising awareness among mothers, families, and the broader community about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding to prevent stunting. This approach is expected to serve as a concrete step in supporting the government’s program to reduce stunting rates in the region.

Based on various studies and studies, the LGBT phenomenon in Indonesia, especially in the Pekanbaru area, is still often viewed negatively because it is considered contrary to local social and cultural norms. Several factors that influence the emergence of LGBT sexual orientation include childhood experiences, the influence of the social environment, and conditions within the family. Psychological interventions such as group counseling with the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach combined with religious values, such as in Islamic counseling, have proven effective in reducing inner conflict, increasing the ability to manage emotions, and encouraging acceptance and self-confidence of LGBT individuals. This approach also helps replace irrational thought patterns and strengthens emotional resilience, although cultural and social challenges are still major obstacles. On the other hand, the importance of multicultural competence for professionals is also highly emphasized in dealing with issues related to LGBT and their emotional health. Education about sexuality and increasing public understanding of diversity are considered important to reduce stigma and discrimination against the LGBT community. Overall, the results of this study indicate the need for an appropriate psychological approach and educational efforts to create social acceptance and improve the welfare of LGBT individuals.

This study aims to analyze the impact of online learning on students' learning independence at the secondary school level. The research is motivated by the significant shift in the education system due to the pandemic, which required students to adapt to technology-based distance learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation, supported by quantitative questionnaires from previous studies. The findings indicate that online learning has both positive and negative effects on students' learning independence. Positive impacts include increased student responsibility in completing assignments, ease of accessing learning materials anytime and anywhere, and enhanced parental involvement in supporting their children's learning at home. However, negative effects were also identified, such as students' tendency to engage excessively in gaming, reduced effectiveness of the learning process, and delays in task submission due to workload accumulation. Regression analysis results show a significant influence between online learning and learning independence, although the effect is moderate to low in some cases. Factors such as learning motivation, self-efficacy, and the support of the online learning environment play crucial roles in shaping student independence. The study recommends collaboration among government, schools, teachers, parents, and the wider community to improve the quality and quantity of online learning facilities, as well as more varied learning strategies to optimally support the development of students' learning independence.
