As China accelerates Hainan's development into a globally competitive Free Trade Port (FTP), this study examines how strategic policies are transforming the island into an international tourism hub. Against the backdrop of China's dual-circulation economic strategy, the research employs policy analysis, tourism statistics (2018-2023), and case studies of key projects like the Haitang Bay duty-free shopping complex and Sanya's luxury resort developments to assess Hainan's transformation. The methodology combines quantitative analysis of visitor growth patterns with qualitative evaluation of infrastructure investments and marketing campaigns targeting international markets. Findings reveal that visa-free policies for 59 countries and expanded duty-free quotas (100,000 RMB annually per visitor) have increased foreign tourist arrivals by 48% since 2020, while digital initiatives like the "Hainan Travel App" have enhanced visitor experiences. However, results also identify persistent challenges including seasonal tourism imbalances, environmental pressures from coastal development, and competition with established Southeast Asian destinations. The study concludes that while Hainan has successfully elevated its status among Chinese domestic tourists, achieving global hub status requires improved air connectivity, cultural tourism diversification beyond beach resorts, and stronger sustainability measures - offering valuable lessons for tourism-led development in emerging economies.

The elderly stage is characterized by complex physical, psychological, and social changes, often leading to a decline in bodily functions and limitations in daily activities. This condition frequently results in older adults becoming highly dependent on assistance from others, including family members and caregivers in nursing homes. This study aims to understand the changes in bodily functions experienced by older adults and to identify factors that accelerate or worsen these processes, particularly among those residing in nursing homes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving three older adult participants and one caregiver at Harapan Ibu Nursing Home. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed descriptively to illustrate patterns of functional decline and influencing factors. The main findings indicate that older adults experience decreased mobility, muscle strength, motor function, as well as impairments in vision and hearing. However, those who remain active in daily activities and receive environmental support demonstrate better levels of independence and quality of life. The study concludes that the decline in bodily functions among older adults is a natural process that can be slowed through physical activity, social support, and a supportive environment, enabling them to maintain a meaningful and independent life despite limitations.

Stunting is a condition of growth failure in toddlers due to chronic malnutrition that occurs over a long period of time, especially in the first 1,000 days of life. Several major risk factors for stunting that are often found in Posyandu include the nutritional status of pregnant women, parenting patterns, exclusive breastfeeding, and environmental sanitation. To analyze the Identification of Risk Factors for Stunting in Toddlers: A Study in the Working Area of the Aek Godang Health Center, North Padang Lawas. The type of observational study with a cross-sectional design, the study population was 139 people. This study used samples from all mothers who had stunted toddlers in Hulu Sihapas District, North Padang Lawas Regency, with the total sampling method. Data collection used a research questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately, bivariate (chi-square), and multivariate (logistic regression) with the enter method. Newborn weight (p = 0.001) and healthy toilets (p = 0.001) significantly influenced the risk of stunting, with low birth weight and poor sanitation increasing the risk of growth disorders in toddlers. This study shows that newborn weight (p = 0.001) and healthy toilets (p = 0.001) have a significant effect on the risk of stunting in toddlers. Babies with low birth weight and environments with poor sanitation increase the likelihood of stunting. More attention is needed to monitor newborn weight and increase access to healthy latrines to reduce the prevalence of stunting. The government and health workers are expected to strengthen nutrition and sanitation programs at the community level.

This study aims to examine the implementation of political campaign regulations in broadcast media (television and radio) in the Election of Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan. The main focus of the study is on the effectiveness of coordination between policy implementing institutions—KPU, Bawaslu, and KPID—as well as communication patterns between supervisory institutions and broadcast in implementing campaign regulations. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of regulations has not reached its intended purposes. The absence of a Task Force as a coordination forum and one-way institution communication are the main obstacles. This study recommends the establishment of a cross-institutional coordination forum for the upcoming governor elections. This step also needs to be balanced with the improvement of regulation understanding among media crews, and the active involvement of all broadcast media, including communities. Those are all fundamental to strengthen supervision and promote fair and transparent political campaigns.

This multilayer meta-analysis investigates the intersectionality between gender, social class, and war-related trauma in the Middle East through a systematic review of 87 studies (N = 31,459) published between 2000 and 2023. Analytical findings reveal a strong and significant correlation between gender and trauma severity (r = 0.67, p < 0.001), with women experiencing a 2.8 times higher prevalence of PTSD compared to men. Furthermore, results from hierarchical regression demonstrate that social class functions as a substantial moderator (β = 0.45, p < 0.001), with individuals from lower social class backgrounds exhibiting a 3.2 times greater risk of trauma. Further structural path analysis reveals the presence of dual mediation (CFI = 0.96, RMSEA = 0.04), with access to mental health services and social support serving as primary mediators (indirect effect = 0.38, 95% CI [0.29, 0.47]). These results expand the contributions of Al-Krenawi and Graham (2012) and Mangrio et al. (2019) by illustrating the complex interaction of the three dimensions (Gender, Social Class, and War Trauma), which had previously been examined only separately. In addition, this study identifies a new pattern termed the "spiral trauma effect," a mechanism wherein the intersectionality of gender, social class, and trauma mutually reinforce each other in a recurring cycle (effect size d = 0.89), thereby deepening the understanding of trauma dynamics in conflict zones across the Middle East. Finally, the predictive model developed in this research demonstrated an accuracy rate of 84.3% in identifying high-risk individuals. Thus, these results are considered to provide an innovative framework for the development of empirically-based trauma interventions in Middle Eastern war zones.

The National Health Insurance (JKN) program, administered by BPJS Kesehatan, has significantly expanded public access to healthcare services, particularly inpatient care. This study aims to analyze inpatient JKN reimbursement patterns at Surakarta General Government Hospital during the period of 2020 to 2024. The analysis focuses on five main variables: INA-CBGs grouping codes, class of care, severity level, INA-CBGs tariff, and actual hospital costs. A descriptive-analytic method with a quantitative approach was employed, utilizing secondary data extracted from the INA-CBGs system. The results indicate that inpatient reimbursements were predominantly concentrated in Class 3 services (64%–70%) and severity level 1 (45%–59%). From 2020 to 2022, respiratory-related cases dominated, likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while in 2023–2024 a shift occurred toward non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular and metabolic conditions. A consistent negative tariff gap was identified, particularly in Class 3 and severity level 1, where INA-CBGs reimbursements were insufficient to cover actual service costs. These findings underscore the importance of periodic review of INA-CBGs tariff structures, reinforcement of Quality and Cost Control (KMKB), and optimization of reimbursement management information systems to enhance service efficiency and ensure the financial sustainability of JKN, especially in Type C hospitals that serve as the primary level of healthcare delivery.

Global economic issues have significantly impacted national economic progress in recent decades, especially for developing countries such as Indonesia.  Currency exchange rates are one of the main variables that influence this economic process.  The performance of a country's external sector is largely determined by the exchange rate, which also affects a number of other macroeconomic factors.  The purpose of this study is to see how much Indonesia's economic growth is affected by the exchange rate between 1980 and 2023. Data from government agencies including the Central Bureau of Statistics and Bank Indonesia are used in this quantitative approach using a literature study approach.  The findings show that changes in the value of the rupiah, especially when depreciation occurs, have a significant influence on a number of economic factors, such as imports, exports, inflation, domestic investment, and consumption.  The competitiveness of Indonesian export goods in the global market increases with the depreciation of the exchange rate. At the same time, however, it also leads to higher prices for imported goods, increases the burden of foreign debt, and depresses people's purchasing power and domestic investment activity. The last five years of data reflect the fluctuating pattern of Indonesia's international trade, which is closely related to exchange rate conditions and global economic dynamics. Exchange rate instability creates economic uncertainty, which can hamper long-term growth. Therefore, stabilizing the exchange rate and strengthening the export sector are important strategies, supported by monetary and fiscal policies that are adaptive to global changes.

This study explores the social and psychological dynamics of the collective expression of the Indonesian youth through the hashtag #KaburAjaDulu on TikTok social media, which reflects their concerns about inequality in access to work and lack of opportunities for self-development. This study uses qualitative methodology and a virtual ethnography approach to analyze data, covering social interactions and meaning construction in virtual communities. Primary data sources involve real-time monitoring using tools such as Brand24, which captures the frequency and sentiment of posts. Secondary data sources are obtained from literature related to labor migration, digital expression, and network society theory. Data collection techniques combine passive online observation and thematic classification, while data analysis is carried out through content analysis to identify dominant discourse patterns and sentiments. Data validity is tested using source triangulation, comparing netnography findings with scientific references and policy documentation. The results show that the hashtag #KaburAjaDulu is not just an expression of jokes, but a symbol of structural alienation and the aspirations of the young generation to seek better life opportunities abroad. The discussion highlights the implications of this social critique for migration policies and the protection of migrant workers. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of adaptive government responses and more inclusive policies to address the aspirations of the younger generation.

Air quality in Western Java is highly dynamic and shaped by environmental changes influenced by intense human activities. Aerosols—tiny particulate matter that affects air quality, weather, and climate—can be quantified using Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD), which measures aerosol concentrations in the atmospheric column. This research uses spatial regression analysis to examine the spatial distribution of AOD from GEE’s platform (Google Earth Engine) and its relationship with rainfall and wind patterns during both the wet and dry seasons. The findings indicate that wind speed does not significantly impact AOD values, but wind direction does affect the distribution of rainfall and AOD, likely due to the monsoon system. During the wet season (December to March), high-intensity and widespread rainfall effectively cleanses the atmosphere of aerosols, leading to no significant effect on AOD (p-value > 0.05). In contrast, during the dry season, rainfall significantly influences AOD spatial patterns (p-value < 0.05). These results highlight the intricate interplay between meteorological factors and aerosol’s behavior, emphasizing the seasonal variability in their interactions.

This study aims to analyze the syntactic structure of sentences in english interactions between hotel receptionists and foreign guests. Specifically, it focuses on identifying sentence types, levels of sentence complexity, and syntactic functions that support professional communication at the reception desk. The data were collected from transcripts of 10 authentic interactions and 10 simulated conversations involving five professional hotel receptionists and five foreign guests with intermediate to advanced english proficiency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with audio recordings transcribed and analyzed to identify dominant syntactic patterns. The results revealed that simple and compound sentences were the most frequently used, particularly in greeting, offering assistance, and clarifying information. Complex sentences appeared more often in handling guest complaints and explaining hotel policies. These findings suggest that mastery of varied syntactic structures enhances communication effectiveness in hospitality services. The study’s results are expected to contribute to the development of teaching materials for reception courses and communication skills training for hotel receptionists in the hospitality industry.
