This study aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of oil palm plantation workers at PT Kencana Sawit Indonesia in controlling pests through the application of the Early Warning Sistem (EWS). Based on findings from a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), four major challenges in pest control were identified: limited employee knowledge, inefficient task distribution, challenging topography, and delayed responses to pest outbreaks. An outreach program was conducted involving educational sessions supported by pre-test and post-test assessments. The results revealed a significant improvement in employee knowledge, with the average score increasing from 37% to 83%. Furthermore, participant satisfaction with the outreach activities reached 86.50%, as measured by a Likert scale survey. These results confirm that the EWS-based extension program successfully addressed critical knowledge gaps, fostered motivation among employees, and improved the overall efficiency of pest management practices. As a result, this initiative is expected to support more effective pest control and positively impact plantation productivity.

This study aims to reveal the value of struggle in the novel The Darkest Side of Heaven by Brian Khrisna through a sociological literary approach. This novel reflects the lives of lower-class people in Jakarta who live under social, economic, and cultural pressures. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. Data are analyzed based on the content of the text that describes the values of the struggle of the characters in the novel. The results of the study show that there are two main values of struggle, namely the value of being willing to sacrifice and the value of never giving up. The value of being willing to sacrifice is reflected in characters such as Sobirin, Juleha, Kuncahyo, and a father who is willing to put aside self-esteem, comfort, and personal needs for the sake of his family. Meanwhile, the value of never giving up is seen from Juleha and Tomi's persistence in facing poverty, as well as Kuncahyo's spirit who continues to work hard even in inhumane conditions. This novel illustrates that the struggle of marginalized people is not only about survival, but also shows strong social values, such as love, sacrifice, solidarity, and optimism. This study confirms that literature functions as a mirror of social reality and a means to foster empathy and social awareness towards the lives of marginalized communities in big cities.

This study aims to describe the forms of linguistic politeness and impoliteness in the novel Dilan: He Was My Dilan in 1990 by Pidi Baiq. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with Leech's (1983) politeness maxims theory as the analytical framework. Data were obtained from utterances in character dialogues and narration in the novel. The findings reveal that the six politeness maxims tact, generosity, approbation, modesty, agreement, and sympathy are present in various contexts of adolescent communication in the novel. Furthermore, impoliteness appears through violations of these maxims, such as the use of harsh language, sharp sarcasm, and raised intonation. This study concludes that Dilan 1990 not only reflects adolescent social realities but also serves as a mirror of pragmatic practices in contemporary Indonesian cultural contexts.

The Padat Karya (Labor-Intensive) Program is one of the strategies implemented by the Surabaya City Government to reduce poverty through local economic empowerment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Paving Production Padat Karya Program in Siwalankerto Sub-District, Wonocolo District, Surabaya City. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was based on Van Meter and Van Horn’s policy implementation model, which includes six indicators: policy standards and objectives, resources, inter-organizational communication, characteristics of implementing agents, social-economic-political environment, and disposition of implementers. The findings indicate that the program has not been implemented optimally. There is a lack of measurable operational indicators, limited available resources, and ineffective inter-agency coordination. Moreover, the absence of a dedicated implementation unit and weak affirmative policy support have hindered the program's sustainability. Both implementers and participants tend to be passive due to the lack of tangible economic outcomes. The study recommends strengthening institutional frameworks, improving capacity, and developing affirmative market-based policies to ensure the program's sustainability.

This study aims to analyze the struggle of the main character in achieving superiority in the novel Adiba by Mairisa Elvia. This struggle is rooted in the feelings of inferiority experienced by the main character since childhood. Through the individual psychology approach of Alfred Adler and qualitative descriptive methods, this research reveals the forms of the character's struggle in responding to traumatic experiences, social pressures, and inner conflicts that affect the direction of her life. Data were collected from quotes of narration, dialogue, or actions of the characters in the novel that reflect the effort to overcome feelings of helplessness and achieve meaningful life goals. Data collection techniques were conducted through careful reading and systematic note-taking of relevant parts of the text. The data were analyzed using content analysis to unveil the meanings behind actions, dialogues, and narratives related to the dynamics of the character's struggle. The research results show that the struggle towards superiority is demonstrated through hard work, a never-give-up attitude, and a drive to be beneficial to others. The main character not only struggles to overcome personal weaknesses but also shows a transformation of personality through constructive and social achievements. This process reflects an individual's journey in shaping a lifestyle and ultimate goals as compensation for the feelings of inferiority they once experienced. This study concludes that the psychological aspects in literary works can provide a deeper understanding of the motivations and personality dynamics of the characters, as well as enrich literary analysis with an interdisciplinary approach.

This study examines the denotative and connotative meanings contained in the lyrics of the song Garam dan Madu (Sakit Dadaku) by Tenxi, Naykilla, and Jemsii, which raises the theme of doubt and longing for love. The purpose of the study is to reveal the literal meaning and implied meaning in the lyrics. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of song lyric texts obtained from official sources. The results of the study show that the lyrics of this song contain other complementary meanings, namely the denotative meaning describes doubt, longing, uncertainty, and a promise to give the best in their relationship while the connotative meaning contains deeper emotions and symbolism related to love, hope, and commitment. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the song's message and its contribution to the study of semantics and popular culture.

Reducing product quality is one of the main challenges in the Tofu processing industry, especially in the Sumedang Bumi Armasta Tofu business which is small to medium-scale. The processing, which still maintains the traditional method without the help of technology, has been carried out for many years, but the processing that is still traditional has turned out to cause a dependence on expert employees which if not present will have a direct impact on the quality and quality of the Tofu products produced and the skills of new employees are not optimal in replacing the role of expert employees if they are unable to attend. This study aims to analyze employee development strategies in improving the quality of tofu products using the Fishbone (cause-and-effect) approach. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the analysis show that Human factors (HR) are the main cause of the decline in the quality and quality of Tofu products in Sumedang Tofu SMEs which can be seen from changes in texture, aroma, appearance, and size that are not suitable. Therefore, employee development strategies need to be carried out such as job training, assistance for new employees, and standardization of SOPs that are considered effective in improving the quality of Tofu products to remain consistent.

This study aims to analyze the tendency of moving toward people in the main character of the novel Pukul Setengah Lima by Rintik Sedu using Karen Horney’s psychoanalytic theory. The main character exhibits behaviors that reflect a neurotic need for affection, approval, and protection through submissiveness, self-sacrifice, and emotional dependence on others. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, using content analysis of excerpts from the novel. The findings reveal that the tendency to move toward others serves as a psychological response to social anxiety rooted in unresolved inner conflicts and emotional insecurity from the past. This pattern of unbalanced interpersonal relationships acts as a defense mechanism to gain a sense of safety in social life. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of psychological dynamics in contemporary Indonesian popular literature and enriches the field of literary psychology.

This research explores the influence of compensation and motivation on employee productivity in the Food & Beverage industry in South Tangerang. Employing a quantitative method with a sample of 100 respondents, regression analysis results indicate that both compensation and motivation significantly contribute positively to productivity. Compensation contributes by 0.146 units, while motivation contributes by 0.119 units to the increase in productivity. Although the model explains only around 20.5% of the variation in productivity, the study provides significant insights. It is concluded that fair compensation policies and enhanced motivation can boost employee performance. Despite unexplained variations, these findings offer a foundation for companies to improve human resource management policies.

This study aims to analyze the figurative language in the novel Hujan by Tere Liye using a stylistic approach and to evaluate its relevance as teaching material for Indonesian language education. The main focus is on comparative figurative language such as personification, metaphor, simile, and hyperbole found in the novel. The research method applied is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through reading, noting, and classifying stylistic elements. The results show that these figurative languages play an important role in enriching the aesthetic value of the work, developing character portrayal, creating atmosphere, and effectively delivering moral messages. Moreover, the use of these stylistic features can help students improve their literary appreciation and language skills more deeply. Therefore, the novel Hujan is suitable as instructional material to enhance students’ interest and understanding of literary works

Semantics is a branch of linguistics that studies meaning in language, whether implied in words, phrases, or sentences. In literary works such as songs, the use of language often contains multiple or symbolic meanings that may cause ambiguity for listeners. This becomes problematic when the audience interprets the lyrics differently from the songwriter’s intent. The song "Lihat, Dengar, Rasakan" by Sheila On 7 is an example of lyrics rich in meaning and symbolism, making it an interesting subject for semantic analysis. The aim of this study is to uncover and explain the lexical and grammatical meanings contained within the lyrics so that the message conveyed can be understood more thoroughly and deeply. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with observation, note-taking, and content analysis techniques. The results show a total of 17 lexical meaning data and 17 grammatical meaning data in the song lyrics. The lexical meanings consist of 10 synonymy data, 4 antonymy data, 2 homonymy data, 4 hyponymy data, 4 polysemy data, 3 ambiguity data, and 2 redundancy data. Meanwhile, the grammatical  meanings include 11 affixation data, 2 reduplication data, and 5 composition data. These findings reveal that the lyrics of "Lihat, Dengar, Rasakan" are rich in complex meanings, both lexically and grammatically. The conclusion of this research is that semantic analysis can unveil the deeper layers of meaning within song lyrics, helping listeners grasp the moral message, social critique, and spiritual values hidden behind the poetic language used by the songwriter.

The poem portrays the struggle and dedication of a teacher who devotes themselves to serving in a remote area with deep love and sacrifice. This research adopts a qualitative method with content analysis techniques by conducting a document study of the poem's text. The analysis reveals that the poem is rich in figurative language, including metaphor, personification, hyperbole, metonymy, synecdoche, and simile. Each of these figures of speech is employed to depict the social, emotional, and spiritual conditions of the teacher and the environment in which they serve. The use of figurative meaning in the poem not only beautifies the language but also strengthens the moral messages, educational values, and appreciation of the teaching profession. By understanding these figurative meanings, readers can grasp deeper humanistic and simplicity values embedded in the realm of education.

The performance of Mayapada Bank employees at Darmo 57 Surabaya Branch can be assessed from their ability to complete tasks well and on time. This good performance is very important for the success of the company. However, several factors such as lack of motivation, low discipline, negative work environment influences, and lack of role models can hinder employee performance. At this time, Mayapada Bank Darmo 57 Branch finds it difficult to build and improve employee performance, therefore employee performance must be improved to improve the quality of employee work. The data analysis technique needed is data reduction (data reduction) reducing data means summarizing and data display (data presentation) limiting a presentation as a set of structured information that allows for drawing conclusions and taking action. Source triangulation to test data credibility is done by checking the data that has been obtained. Technique triangulation to test data credibility is done by checking data to the same source with different techniques. Time triangulation often affects data credibility. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers, several factors emerged that influenced the quality of employee performance, namely a Comfortable Work Environment, Leadership Style, Salary, Routine Meetings.

This creation is based on Contemporary calligraphy (contemporary) is a work of art created by Muslim artists to express religious values, through paintings that have a combination of various colors and seem free but in the artwork the message contained in the painting can be conveyed. This creation uses the Lafadz Asmaul Husna with the type of Khat Kufi combined with a floral batik motif as the background. The combination of floral batik motifs with contemporary calligraphy painting is an interesting form of blending local culture and modern art expression. This creation aims to find out how the visualization process and techniques are used in the creation of contemporary calligraphy with floral batik motifs. This creation uses the I Made Bandem method which has 5 stages of creation, namely: preparation, elaboration, synthesis, concept realization, and completion. The result of this creation is a contemporary calligraphy painting with a floral batik motif of 12 paintings. This creation uses acrylic paint with a pelakat technique. Contemporary calligraphy painting using a floral batik motif is expected to be used as a cultural preservation because this work helps people to better understand, appreciate, and preserve cultural heritage through floral batik motifs integrated into calligraphy art.

This research aims to find out how much influence communication and motivation have on employee morale at CV. Penta's work on the head office. The research method used is a quantitative method approach with data collection techniques using probability sampling with a population of 108 employees and samples taken using the Slovin formula, namely 52 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire in ordinal (Likert) scale units. Data processing uses SPSS 26 software for instrument testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The research results show that both partially and simultaneously communication and motivation have a positive effect on the performance of CV employees morale. Penta's work. In the current era of globalization, human resources in a company play a very important role. The concentration of human resources is centered on people who have work ties in the company so that they can improve employee performance in it. One of the things that most affects employee performance is job dissatisfaction. Researchers added counterproduction work behavior as a mediating variable to consider employee reasons, why employees feel work stress towards job dissatisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of work stress on job dissatisfaction with counterproduction work behavior as a mediating variable. This type of research is quantitative with an associative nature. The population in this study were employees of the Wayhalim branch of Mie Gacoan with a sample of 53 respondents, because this study used a non-probability sampling technique which was a saturated sampling type. Data processing with SmartPLS. Based on the research that has been done, the results are in accordance with the research hypothesis, namely that there is a positive and significant influence between work stress and job dissatisfaction. Work Stress has a positive and insignificant effect on counterproduction work behavior. Counterproduction work behavior has a positive and insignificant effect on job dissatisfaction. Counterproduction work behavior has a positive and insignificant effect on Job Stress and job dissatisfaction.  

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the influence of the work environment on job satisfaction; (2) the influence of job satisfaction on employee loyalty; (3) the influence of the work environment on employee loyalty; (4) the influence of the work environment on employee loyalty with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study is a quantitative study. The population in this study were employees of The Axana Hotel. The research sample was 89 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a distributed questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used was regression analysis supported by the classical assumption test, F test, and path analysis test, with the help of the SPSS version 25.0 program. The results of the data analysis showed that the work environment had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction with a Beta value or Standardized Coefficient of 0.261 with t count (2.523) with a significance of 0.013 <0.05. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with a Beta or Standardized Coefficient value of 0.338 with a t count (3.346) with a significance of 0.001 <0.05. The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with a Beta or Standardized Coefficient value of 0.605 with a t count (7.087) with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. And the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with satisfaction as a mediating variable at TheAxana Hotel. This can be seen in the results of the path analysis which produces a total influence value greater than the direct influence (0.693> 0.088).  

This study aims to describe and analyze the moral values ​​contained in the short story “Towel Kumal Kang Gudhal” by Ribut Acahwadi. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The main data source comes from the short story which was published in the online media Ruang Sastra on June 18, 2023. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading activities, recording, and literature studies. To ensure the validity of the data, data and theory triangulation methods were used. The data analysis process includes four stages, namely data collection, identification, data reduction, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results of the analysis show that this short story contains three forms of moral values, namely: 1) morals related to human relationships with themselves, such as patience, responsibility, and honesty; 2) morals concerning relationships between humans, such as caring and respect; and 3) morals related to human relationships with God, which are reflected through spiritual beliefs and beliefs.
