Digital transformation in the modern era has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including education. Today's university students, as digital natives, have a strong tendency to access information and learn through social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. This opens up great opportunities to develop more adaptive, contextual, and relevant learning strategies, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which is often perceived as traditional and monotonous. This community service project aims to transform PAI learning methods through the integration of social media to enhance student engagement and learning motivation. The implementation method includes five stages: socialization, training and workshops, content production mentoring, instructional implementation, and evaluation and reflection. The results show that the use of YouTube and Instagram as learning media effectively increases student engagement scores (average 3.75) and learning motivation (average 3.80), with YouTube contributing the most by providing long-form, flexible educational content. Instagram complements this by delivering moral messages in a quick and visually appealing format. Beyond improving learning effectiveness, this initiative also promotes Islamic digital literacy and empowers students as content creators for moderate and educational Islamic messages. In conclusion, the strategic integration of social media in PAI learning is a proven innovative approach that should be widely adopted in higher education environments.

Digital literacy is a crucial competency for teachers. Accelerating digital literacy for elementary school teachers is not only about mastering digital tools and applications, but also about changing mindsets and approaches to teaching. There are three impacts for teachers and students if teachers are unable to master digital competencies: 1) teachers are less able to keep up with the latest technological developments; 2) teachers are unable to filter and process the latest information, resulting in a tendency towards misinformation; 3) students are less able to absorb the latest information and thus misuse the wrong sources of information. Given these impacts, training and mentoring are needed for elementary school teachers in Songgom District to acquire the right digital skills so that elementary school teachers can maximize their potential. Elementary school teachers in Brebes Regency still do not have good digital competencies. If left unchecked, more and more teachers will lack digital competency. This can lead to a lack of technology-related information that students can use to support their learning. Furthermore, inadequate technology skills can hinder differentiated learning within the independent curriculum. The Community Service Program, initiated by professors and lecturers with expertise in digital literacy and language, is highly relevant to the needs of teachers in Brebes Regency. Elementary school teachers are developing digital competencies by implementing interactive quiz-based learning and Canva-based learning media. These competencies can be applied by teachers in the classroom. Students are expected to absorb the material more meaningfully. Learning through the application of digital literacy by teachers will increase student interest and engagement in learning the material.

Assessment and evaluation of sanitation programs that directly involve community participation are crucial for program sustainability. The Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program in Indonesia aims to foster independent hygienic behavior. Participatory approaches such as PHAST (WHO, 1998) emphasize continuous community-led monitoring and self-evaluation as a feedback mechanism. Literature studies show that empowering citizens to evaluate healthy sanitation programs enhances both knowledge and program ownership. For instance, community engagement at SD Kalidadap (Yogyakarta) reported increased participation in waste management and sanitation facility development, as well as improved sanitation awareness and behavior after outreach activities. However, challenges such as limited funding and health resources often hinder optimal participation. This article discusses a participatory evaluation framework and community strengthening strategies, including the establishment of local indicators and the role of facilitators, to support self-assessment in sanitation initiatives. Recommendations include community training, provision of simple evaluation tools, and cross-sector collaboration to improve accountability and sustainability of sanitation programs at the community level.
