Teaching ethics and morals to children from an early age is essential to shape their character to become honest, responsible, and caring individuals for others. Children learn through their environment, whether at home, school, or in everyday social interactions. Therefore, parents and teachers need to use creative strategies to instill ethical and moral values. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study to analyze various sources about ethical and moral education in children. Some effective strategies that can be used include setting an example, accustoming children to good behavior, using stories to teach moral values, and involving children in interactive and technological activities. With the right approach, children can understand the difference between good and bad behavior, as well as build attitudes that conform to social norms. The hope is that they will grow into individuals with integrity, responsibility, and concern for others.

This study aims to determine the relationship between social stigma and psychological well-being in mothers of children with disabilities in Padang City. The background of this study is based on the negative labeling and discrimination often experienced by these mothers, which can affect their mental health and parenting skills in raising children with special needs. The social stigma attached to families with children with disabilities often makes mothers feel protected, experience emotional stress, and decrease self-confidence. This condition has the potential to cause prolonged stress that ultimately has a negative impact on their psychological well-being. This study used a quantitative method with a purposive sampling technique, where 93 respondents mothers of children with disabilities in Padang City were selected as research participants. Data collection was carried out using an instrument in the form of a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. This scale measures two main variables: the level of social stigma experienced by mothers and the level of psychological well-being, which includes aspects such as happiness, life satisfaction, and overall mental health. The results showed that 30.1% of these mothers reported a high level of psychological well-being, while 34.4% reported a low level of social stigma. These findings indicate relatively good psychological well-being, although some mothers still experience social stigma. Statistical analysis using correlation revealed a significant negative relationship between social stigma and psychological well-being. This means that the lower the level of social stigma experienced by mothers, the higher their level of psychological well-being. These findings confirm that reducing social stigma and discrimination against mothers with children with disabilities is crucial for improving their quality of life.

Exposure to food advertising, particularly UPF (Ultra-Processed Food), not only impacts children's short-term food choices but also influences the formation of long-term unhealthy eating habits. Several studies have found that advertising's influence on children is not only direct but is also reinforced by environmental factors such as family eating habits, peer influence, and food accessibility at home and school. For example, children who regularly watch television unsupervised or who have personal devices with internet access are more likely to be exposed to UPF advertising, which is typically designed with bold colors, cartoon characters, and memorable slogans. This makes children more susceptible to influence and develop preferences for the promoted foods. Furthermore, UPF advertising often features emotional messages or positive associations such as fun, friendship, and rewards, further strengthening its appeal to children. When these advertisements are repeatedly exposed, children can internalize these messages and make them part of their eating experience. In the long term, this risks causing children to associate unhealthy foods with comfort or happiness, which can trigger emotional eating and increase the potential for eating disorders and the risk of non-communicable diseases. Therefore, it is crucial to involve various stakeholders, including parents, educators, industry players, and policymakers, in building a healthy eating environment. Media literacy education for children is also a crucial step in equipping them to be more critical of advertising messages. Strict regulations on food marketing aimed at children, such as banning UPF advertising during children's broadcast hours, regulating the use of cartoon characters, and providing clear and easy-to-understand nutrition labeling, are important strategies to reduce the negative impact of UPF advertising on children's health in the long term.

Moral and social education in Islam plays a crucial role in shaping children's character, developing noble character and social responsibility. In this context, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as a prime role model, whose behavior and sayings provide comprehensive guidance for the development of character values. This study aims to analyze authentic hadiths depicting the Prophet's interactions with children to uncover key moral and social values that can be integrated into contemporary Islamic education. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques. Data were collected from relevant authentic hadith literature and then analyzed to identify moral values such as honesty, compassion, justice, empathy, and respect for children's rights. The analysis also considered the historical and social context of the hadiths, allowing interpretations of the values to be tailored to current educational needs. The results show that the Prophet Muhammad taught moral and social principles not only through verbal statements but also through concrete examples in his daily life. For example, he demonstrated gentleness toward children, respected their opinions, appreciated good behavior, and reprimanded them wisely when mistakes occurred. This approach creates an educational pattern that is not authoritarian, but rather builds positive emotional bonds between educators and students. These findings emphasize the relevance of prophetic values in shaping character education in the modern era, which often faces challenges of morality and the degradation of social values. Integrating these values into the curriculum and educational practices in schools and families is expected to produce individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess high moral integrity and social sensitivity.

The low level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers regarding the use of the KIA handbook is due to their suboptimal use. Many mothers view the KIA handbook as merely a record of routine checkups, thus failing to understand the information it contains. This study aims to identify factors influencing the utilization of the Maternal and Child Health (KIA) handbook among mothers with toddlers in the Kwala Bekala Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Medan, Johor, in 2025. The study used an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 45 mothers of toddlers living in the area. The sampling technique used was multistage sampling, conducted in stages to obtain appropriate respondents. The results showed that 62.2% of the utilization of the KIA handbook was influenced by mothers' attitudes, particularly regarding the implementation of the immunization program for pregnant women. The more positive the mother's attitude toward immunization, the greater the support of her husband's involvement in the process. The direction of the relationship found in this study was positive. Several factors that may influence mothers' attitudes toward the use of the KIA handbook include the number of children (the majority have one child (51.1%), the mother's education level (the highest is elementary school level at 19.42%), and the mother's occupation (the most common being a housewife at 30.66%). The use of the KIA handbook is classified as good at 62.2%, and the mother's attitude toward immunization during pregnancy shows a positive attitude at 75.6%.

This study empirically investigates the impact of information quality, system quality, and service quality on net benefits in cooperatives located in Badung Regency, specifically in Mengwi District. A quantitative research approach was employed, with non-probability sampling and purposive sampling as the chosen techniques. A total of 150 respondents, including cooperative managers and staff, participated in this study. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The study found that information quality significantly influences net benefits through system use and user satisfaction. High-quality information is critical for effective system use and leads to greater user satisfaction, which ultimately contributes to higher net benefits for the cooperatives. Similarly, system quality was also found to significantly affect net benefits, with the use of high-quality systems increasing system use and improving user satisfaction, further enhancing the net benefits received by the cooperatives. However, service quality did not show a significant direct impact on net benefits, nor did it have any significant effect through the mediating variables of system use and user satisfaction. This finding suggests that while service quality is important in many contexts, in the case of cooperatives in this study, the quality of the information and the system itself play a more prominent role in determining the net benefits. The results of this study emphasize the importance of focusing on improving information and system quality to maximize the net benefits in cooperatives. Cooperatives should prioritize investments in information technology systems and ensure that the information provided is accurate and relevant to enhance system use and user satisfaction. Environmental character education from an early age is a strategic step in developing a generation that cares about the natural world. Instilling this value is crucial in concrete ways so that children can understand and directly experience the benefits of protecting the environment. One effort undertaken is through a simple hydroponic learning activity involving children from TKS Kartika V 16. The activity was held once at the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic with the support of lecturers as resource persons. Through a hands-on learning method, the children were introduced to how to grow lettuce and bok choy using a simple hydroponic system. The learning process included an introduction to tools and materials, an explanation of the planting stages, and plant care. Observations throughout the activity showed high enthusiasm among the children. They were actively involved, from preparing the planting medium, planting the seeds, to providing air and nutrients to the plants. This activity fostered a sense of care and responsibility for the plants they grew themselves. Furthermore, the children's fine motor skills were also demonstrated through activities such as arranging the planting medium, sowing the seeds, and assembling the hydroponic equipment. This activity not only developed individual skills but also taught social values such as cooperation and mutual assistance. Children learn to work in groups, help each other, and appreciate each other's roles in the planting process. This hands-on, hands-on approach has proven effective in strengthening environmental awareness in a fun and contextual way. Therefore, environmental education through hydroponics can be a practical, inspiring, and easy-to-implement learning medium for young children, while also serving as a concrete example of how character education can go hand-in-hand with the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies.

Moral education is the main pillar in shaping the character of children who have integrity, empathy, and have high moral awareness, especially in terms of filial devotion to parents. In the midst of the advancement of the times and the rapid development of technology, children face great challenges in maintaining noble moral values. The unstoppable flow of digital information often presents content that is contrary to family and religious values. Therefore, moral education is present as a systematic effort to instill good values in a sustainable and contextual manner with the development of the times. This study uses a library research approach to explore the role of moral education in shaping the character of children who are devoted to their parents. Data sources are collected from scientific journals, textbooks, and current academic articles relevant to the theme. The results of the study show that the formation of filial character is greatly influenced by the example of parents and teachers, habituation of positive behaviors such as good manners, worship together, and affectionate communication. In addition, the integration of moral values in the school environment, explicit curriculum policy support for character education, and the wise use of digital media are important factors in supporting the success of moral education. Furthermore, strengthening the school culture and the active involvement of the community in internalizing moral values also strengthen the moral education process. This study concludes that moral education cannot run in isolation, but must be the result of synergy between family, school, and community. Thus, children not only grow up as intellectually intelligent individuals, but also have emotional and spiritual intelligence that reflects an attitude of respect and love for parents. Strong moral education from an early age is a long-term investment for the formation of a generation with noble character.

This study aims to determine the role of parents in fulfilling the right to education for girls based on the implementation of Article 31 Paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution in the region. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants in this study consisted of village heads, parents, and girls who dropped out of school. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed that some parents showed a high awareness of the importance of education for girls and provided real support by sending their children to school to a certain level of education. However, there are also parents who still limit their children's education to only a certain level, mainly due to limited economic reasons and the influence of cultural values rooted in society. Factors such as economic dependence on girls and the view that higher education is not necessary for women are obstacles in realizing equal access to education. The implementation of Article 31 Paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution at the village level has not been optimal because there are no specific policies or programs from the village government that actually guarantee the right to education for girls. This study concludes that parental involvement plays an important role in addressing the inequality of access to education for girls in rural areas, and further support is needed from the government and the community to create an environment that is more supportive of girls' education. The implementation of more inclusive policies based on the needs of the local community is also very necessary to ensure that girls' right to education can be properly fulfilled.

The family is an essential social unit that contributes significantly to the protection of children's rights and welfare. In the context of Indonesian law, the legal status of children born out of wedlock was severely limited before the Constitutional Court Decision No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010. This study aims to examine changes in the legal status of out-of-wedlock children and their implications for custody after the decision. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature research approach, through the analysis of primary and secondary legal materials, such as Constitutional Court decisions, scientific literature, legal journals, and relevant laws and regulations. Prior to the Constitutional Court's ruling, children born out of wedlock were only recognized as having a civil relationship with their mother and mother's family, which had an impact on limited children's access to legal identity, custody, and inheritance. However, the Constitutional Court Decision No. 46/PUU-VIII/2010 opens up the opportunity to recognize the legal relationship between an out-of-wedlock child and his biological father, as long as it can be scientifically proven (through DNA tests) and legally. This change strengthens the position of children in obtaining custody (alimentasi), including the right to maintenance, protection, education, and financial support from the biological father. This ruling reflects significant progress in the protection of children's rights and the application of the principle of non-discrimination in Indonesian family law. Nevertheless, implementation in the field still faces challenges, both administratively, such as the convoluted recognition process, and socially, especially the stigma against children out of wedlock. Other challenges include low public legal literacy, limited access to scientific proof institutions, and the non-optimal role of the state in guaranteeing the rights of children born out of wedlock.

Early marriage remains a social issue occurring in various regions, including Golo Kondeng Village, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to examine the form of legal protection afforded to the status of children born from early marriages conducted based on local customary law. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews with community leaders, parents, and relevant village authorities. The findings indicate that early marriage practices in Golo Kondeng Village are influenced by several factors, including cultural values, family economic conditions, and the community’s level of education. Although existing laws—such as Law Number 16 of 2019, which amends Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage by establishing the minimum marriage age at 19 for both men and women, and Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection—clearly regulate the legal age for marriage, the reality shows that early marriages continue to occur, often neglecting the fulfillment of children’s rights. The current legal protections are not yet fully effective in securing the legal status of these children, both in terms of civil and social rights. Based on these findings, this study recommends enhancing legal education and outreach to the community regarding marriage laws and children's rights. In addition, the active involvement of traditional leaders and local government is considered essential in addressing the issue of early marriage. It is hoped that through these efforts, children born from early marriages can receive adequate legal protection and have their rights fully fulfilled.

Divorce has a significant impact on a child's psychological and social development, particularly in the aspect of determining custody rights, which should prioritize the principle of the child's best interests. This study aims to analyze the balance between Islamic legal norms as stipulated in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and positive law in Indonesia, in cases where children under the age of 12 express a desire to live with their father after the divorce. The research approach used is a juridical-normative with a qualitative analysis method that focuses on a literature review of laws and regulations such as the KHI, the Marriage Law, the Child Protection Law, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as relevant legal and jurisprudential literature. The results of the study indicate that although normatively the KHI prioritizes the mother as the caregiver of children under 12 years old, there is room for flexibility that allows the court to consider the child's wishes if it better ensures the child's welfare and safety. This approach is supported by the principle of maslahah mursalah in Islamic law, which allows adjustments for the benefit of the child. The main challenges in its implementation include the minimal involvement of professionals such as child psychologists in the evaluation process, the existence of gender stereotypes that influence judges' decisions, and emotional conflicts between parents that often override the interests of the child. Therefore, this study recommends that judicial institutions actively involve psychologists and mediators in custody proceedings, improve training for judges in understanding the psychosocial dynamics of children, and update legal guidelines so that children's wishes can be assessed objectively. Furthermore, education to the wider public about the importance of gender non-discrimination in child care is also needed so that custody decisions truly reflect the principles of comprehensive child protection and welfare.
