Background: Perineal rupture is a common complication in vaginal delivery that can increase the risk of postpartum hemorrhage, infection, and maternal death. One of the factors that contribute to the occurrence of perineal rupture is the baby's birth weight. Babies with a birth weight ≥4000 grams can cause greater pressure on the mother's birth canal, increasing the possibility of perineal tissue tears. In Indonesia, 75% of mothers who give birth vaginally experience perineal lacerations, and postpartum hemorrhage is still the main cause of 40% of maternal deaths. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between birth weight and the incidence of perineal rupture in normal deliveries at the Independent Midwife Practice of Lusi Marbun, Simalungun Regency in 2022. Method: This study used an observational analytical design with a case-control approach. A sample of 30 mothers giving birth was selected using the total sampling method. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test to determine the relationship between birth weight and perineal rupture. Results: The study showed that the majority of infants had a birth weight <4000 grams (63.3%), and the majority of mothers experienced second-degree perineal rupture (70%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between birth weight and the incidence of perineal rupture (p-value = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between birth weight and the incidence of perineal rupture. The greater the infant's birth weight, the higher the risk of perineal rupture in the mother during labor. It is important for health workers to detect fetal weight early, provide nutritional education during pregnancy, and optimally prepare for labor to minimize the risk of complications.

Background: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in children under five years old caused by inadequate nutritional intake and recurrent infections, especially in the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). Exclusive breastfeeding and maternal nutritional knowledge are key factors that influence the incidence of stunting. Indonesia faces a high prevalence of stunting, which can impact the quality of human resources in the future if not addressed immediately. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge and the duration of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting in infants aged 6–12 months in the working area of Kuala Bangka Health Center, Kualuh Hilir District, North Labuhan Batu Regency in 2021. Method: This study used a case-control design with a sample of 110 respondents (55 cases and 55 controls) selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed a significant association between the duration of exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.002; OR = 4.394; 95% CI = 1.709–11.295), where infants who were not exclusively breastfed had a 4.4 times greater risk of experiencing stunting than infants who received optimal exclusive breastfeeding. However, there was no significant association between maternal nutritional knowledge and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.233). Conclusion: The duration of exclusive breastfeeding was proven to be associated with the incidence of stunting, while maternal knowledge did not show a significant association. Stunting prevention efforts should focus on improving the practice of appropriate and comprehensive exclusive breastfeeding, accompanied by practice-based nutrition education that mothers can apply in childcare.

Background Low back pain is a common complaint experienced by pregnant women, with a prevalence reaching 50% in the UK and Scandinavia and 70% in Australia. In Indonesia, the number of pregnant women in 2020 was recorded at 5,298,285 people, with 114,392 of them in North Sumatra. Physiological changes in pregnancy such as uterine enlargement, shifting center of gravity, weight gain, and the influence of the hormone relaxin can cause ligament stretching and muscle spasms that trigger back pain. Although the coverage of antenatal visits (K1 and K4) in North Sumatra has reached the national target, many pregnant women still complain of back pain, mainly due to low participation in prenatal classes. One non-pharmacological intervention proven to be beneficial in reducing back pain is prenatal exercise. This study aimed to determine the effect of prenatal exercise on back pain in pregnant women at the Tiga Juhar Community Health Center, STM Hulu District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2023. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pre-test and Post-test design without a control group. The study sample consisted of 32 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria. Back pain intensity data were collected before and after the prenatal exercise intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: Before prenatal exercise, the majority of respondents experienced moderate back pain (53.1%). After the intervention, the majority of respondents experienced mild pain (59.4%). The Wilcoxon test results showed a p-value of 0.002 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between back pain intensity before and after prenatal exercise. Conclusion: Prenatal exercise has been shown to significantly reduce back pain in pregnant women. Therefore, prenatal exercise can be recommended as an effective non-pharmacological intervention to improve maternal comfort during pregnancy.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is characterized by a thick, mycolic acid–rich cell wall that confers hydrophobicity, chemical resistance, and environmental stability, making cell wall biosynthesis inhibitors a major therapeutic target. Tuberculosis is not only a medical condition but also a social disease linked to high population density, malnutrition, and limited healthcare access. In 2023, Kedaton District was identified as the most densely populated area in Bandar Lampung, increasing the likelihood of pulmonary TB smear-positive (TB.Paru BTA+) transmission. Aerosol spread is highly distance-dependent: direct exposure within 0–1 meter poses very high risk, and WHO reports indicate that exposure <1 meter for ≥15 minutes in enclosed spaces significantly elevates infection risk, extending up to 5–10 meters without ventilation. This study employed spatial analysis to measure inter-household distances among 75 TB.Paru BTA(+) patients using Euclidean distance and smartphone-based field surveys. The method proved suitable for small-scale studies with high data accuracy, though resource-intensive for larger populations. Findings revealed some households only 3 meters apart, but this observation was not yet statistically significant to confirm transmission dynamics.

This study aims to describe the sanitation conditions at Jakabaring Terminal, Palembang city, in the year 2025. The research employed a descriptive method with an observational approach. Data were collected through direct observation using a checklist that assessed four aspects of sanitation: environmental hygiene outside the building, hygiene of rooms and structures, sanitation facilities, as well as comfort and safety. The findings show that all four assessed aspects were below the required sanitation standards, with the following percentages: environmental hygiene outside (52%), hygiene of rooms and buildings (66%), anitation facilities (60%), and comfort and safety (57%). The low scores were caused by several factors, including substandard toilet conditions, lack of separated trash bins, inadequate ventilation and lighting, and the absence of first aid kits and fire extinguishers. The study concludes that the sanitation conditions at Jakabaring Terminal do not meet the standards of a healthy terminal. Greater attention and action are required from the terminal management and relevant authorities to improve sanitation quality and ensure user comfort.

Traditional and modern leadership are two approaches with distinct characteristics and advantages. Traditional leadership is rooted in culture, customs, and values passed down through generations, where the leader's legitimacy is often based on lineage, social status, or collective recognition within the community. This model emphasizes hierarchy, authority, and stability to maintain group harmony. However, in a constantly changing era, the traditional approach is often deemed less flexible as it tends to be static and resistant to adaptation. In contrast, modern leadership emerges in response to the needs of more dynamic and complex societies and organizations. Modern leaders prioritize competence, innovation, and member empowerment, emphasizing effective communication and the ability to adapt to change. Both approaches hold unique relevance in different contexts. Integrating the positive values of traditional and modern leadership can create a more holistic model of leadership aligned with contemporary demands.

The modern retail industry in Indonesia is increasingly competitive, especially in the minimarket sector, which requires every business actor to continuously improve the quality of services and products to maintain consumer loyalty. Indomaret, as one of the main players, has introduced the Indomaret Fresh concept that offers a wider variety of products and a more modern shopping experience. However, despite various innovations, there are still complaints from consumers regarding prices, product diversity, and product quality available. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, product diversity, and product quality on consumer repurchase intentions at Indomaret Fresh in Medan City. The study used a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents, and data analysis was conducted using SPSS to test the partial and simultaneous effects of these variables. The results showed that price and product diversity had a negative and insignificant effect on repurchase intentions, while product quality had a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, these three variables together had a significant effect on repurchase intentions. These findings emphasize that product quality is a major factor in building consumer loyalty, while aspects of price and product variety need to be adjusted to consumer preferences and expectations for a more effective Indomaret Fresh marketing strategy.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online and offline marketing strategies in increasing used car sales at Yuna Mobil Showroom Rantau Prapat. The research background is based on the rapid development of information technology and digitalization, which encourage businesses to combine conventional and digital marketing strategies to reach a wider range of consumers. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The results indicate that online marketing plays a significant role in building brand awareness, expanding market reach, and providing fast and efficient access to information through social media, marketplaces, and instant messaging applications. However, this strategy has not been fully effective in converting consumer interest into actual purchase decisions, as customers still require direct product experience. Conversely, offline marketing is proven to be more effective at the decision-making stage due to direct interaction, test drives, and higher consumer trust in the actual condition of used cars. Therefore, the effectiveness of marketing will be optimized if online and offline strategies are implemented in an integrated and complementary manner. This study provides practical contributions for automotive business players in designing marketing strategies aligned with local consumer characteristics, as well as academic contributions to the development of marketing management studies in the digital era.
