The growth of e-commerce has made online marketplaces a major channel for purchasing fashion products, yet it has also increased consumer concerns about counterfeit goods, especially in shoes and sneakers. This study examines the role of Shopee Mall Signal Perception in increasing Purchase Intention for original shoes among Gen Z consumers by considering the mediating roles of Perceived Shopping Security and Decision Convenience. A quantitative explanatory approach was used, involving 239 Gen Z Shopee users in Indonesia selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS. The findings show that Shopee Mall Signal Perception positively affects Perceived Shopping Security (β = 0.430), Perceived Shopping Security improves Decision Convenience (β = 0.399), and Decision Convenience increases Purchase Intention (β = 0.359). Shopee Mall Signal Perception also has a direct effect on Purchase Intention (β = 0.182), while the serial mediation effect through Perceived Shopping Security and Decision Convenience is significant (β = 0.062). These findings imply that marketplace labels can function as authenticity signals that reduce uncertainty, simplify consumer decisions, and strengthen confidence in purchasing original products online.

The rapid development of financial technology (fintech) in the digital era presents both opportunities and challenges for the Islamic economic system. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic fintech, its role in digital economic transformation, and its legal review from the perspective of Islamic economic law (fiqh muamalah). Using a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach, this research examines various fintech models operating on sharia principles—including Islamic peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, digital Islamic crowdfunding, sharia payment gateways, and Islamic robo-advisory—and reviews their compliance with the principles of prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (excessive uncertainty), maysir (gambling), and the requirement of maslahah (public benefit). The results indicate that: (1) Islamic fintech represents a legitimate financial innovation insofar as it adheres to the principles of sharia; (2) the National Sharia Council–Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) fatwas, particularly No. 117/DSN-MUI/II/2018 on Information Technology-Based Financing Services, provide a regulatory framework but require continuous updating to keep pace with technological developments; (3) Islamic fintech contributes significantly to financial inclusion, particularly for unbanked communities in Indonesia; and (4) challenges related to sharia compliance, data governance, and regulatory harmonization remain critical issues requiring the joint attention of regulators, sharia scholars, and technology practitioners. This study contributes to the development of Islamic economic law theory in the context of digital transformation and provides practical recommendations for Islamic fintech stakeholders.

Culture and traditions in Southwest Maluku contain a wealth of local wisdom that serves as a social glue, one of which is reflected in the use of the greeting Kalwedo. This greeting is not just a mere pleasantry, but has a very strong meaning in presenting the values of brotherhood and local wisdom of the people of Southwest Maluku. This study shows several things, including, this study aims to interpret the antagonistic meaning of the greeting Kalwedo as a symbol of brotherhood by using the hermeneutic approach of Hans-Georg Gadamer. The research method used is qualitative descriptive-analysis. Data analysis was carried out through three hermeneutic movements, namely phenomenology, reconstruction, and dialogue. The results of the study show that Kalwedo contains the meaning of "we are together" or "we are one" which means emphasizing the unity of existence between the greeter and the greeted. Based on Gadamer's perspective, this meaning is formed from the fusion of horizons, namely between the past and the present, where the tradition will remain alive and meaningful in the contemporary context. The Kalwedo greeting serves as a medium for erasing barriers of difference, strengthening bonds of brotherhood, and building awareness of an inclusive collective identity. In conclusion, Kalwedo is a manifestation of wirkungsgeschichte (influential history) that continuously shapes and maintains social harmony amidst the dynamics of community life in Southwest Maluku.

This study was conducted based on the crucial role of diesel generator engines as the primary source of electrical power on board ships, making their operational reliability essential. One of the factors influencing generator engine performance is lubricating oil temperature. Excessive lubricating oil temperature may reduce lubrication effectiveness, increase friction between moving components, and lower engine efficiency. Therefore, this research aimed to identify the causes of high lubricating oil temperature in diesel generator engines and determine appropriate corrective actions. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation during sea practice aboard MV. CL FLANDERS from 4 July 2024 to 5 July 2025. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the relationship between generator load and lubricating oil temperature. The findings revealed that generator load had a significant effect on the increase in lubricating oil temperature. Under normal operating conditions, the lubricating oil temperature ranged from 60°C to 72°C, while under abnormal conditions it increased to between 68°C and 81°C. The abnormal rise in temperature was mainly caused by cooling system problems, particularly a dirty LO cooler, scale deposits on the sea water pump impeller, and blockage in the cooling capillary pipes. The regression equation under normal conditions was Y = 45 + 0.30X, whereas under abnormal conditions it was Y = 53.5 + 0.30X. Elevated lubricating oil temperature resulted in lower oil viscosity, higher fuel consumption, and reduced diesel generator engine performance. Therefore, regular maintenance of the LO cooler, sea water pump, and continuous temperature monitoring are necessary to maintain optimum engine performance.

This study analyzes normative conflicts in the evolution of local government regulations from Law No. 22 of 1999 to Law No. 23 of 2014, along with the changes following the Job Creation Law. The research background is grounded in the phenomenon of policy pendulum swings, which indicate a shift from radical decentralization toward structured centralization, as well as the disruptions caused by the omnibus law approach. The research aims to identify and classify vertical and horizontal normative conflicts and formulate recommendations for regulatory harmonization. The method used is normative legal research with a legislative and conceptual approach, employing Hans Kelsen’s theory of antinomy as an analytical tool. The research findings identified two main forms of normative conflict: first, a vertical conflict between Law No. 22/1999, which advocates for the broadest possible autonomy, and Law No. 23/2014, which strengthens central control through the concepts of absolute affairs and NSPK, creating a paradox of centralization within decentralization. Second, a horizontal conflict following the Job Creation Law, which centralizes regional licensing authority through the OSS system and revives Article 251 regarding the annulment of regional regulations that have been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court. The implications of this research recommend revising problematic articles and strengthening the role of regions within a just decentralization system.

The legal arrangement of cannabis in Indonesia is based on Article 28H paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia which guarantees the right to health services, elaborated through Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. Cannabis is classified as a Group I narcotic prohibited for health services under Article 8 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009, while Article 139 of Law Number 17 of 2023 requires that the use of medicines containing narcotics may only be carried out based on a prescription from medical personnel. At the same time, Canada through the Cannabis Act (S.C. 2018, c. 16) and Uruguay through Ley No. 19.172 (2013) apply fundamentally different legal arrangements for cannabis. This research uses normative legal research methods with a comparative law approach, applying the criminal policy framework of Marc Ancel and the law enforcement theory of Joseph Goldstein. The results show: (1) cannabis arrangement in Indonesia is prohibitive through Article 8 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009, while Article 6 paragraph (3) opens a mechanism for reclassification through Ministerial Regulation; (2) Canada through the Cannabis Act applies a regulated market model with a CAD 11.4 billion legal industry and a 70% reduction in arrests, while Uruguay through Ley No. 19.172 applies a state monopoly with an 85% reduction in arrests without an increase in problematic use; (3) fundamental differences in legal systems, political systems, socio-cultural backgrounds, religion, and narcotics policy philosophy mean that the Canadian and Uruguayan models are not relevant to be directly applied in the Indonesian criminal law system.
